Autism Learning Partners (ALP) is seeking experienced Licensed Psychologists to provide autism diagnostic evaluations through flexible 1099 partnerships.
Keep your existing practice and add consistent evaluation volume. ALP supports intake, scheduling, and insurance billing so you can focus on high-quality evaluations, clinical autonomy, and helping families get answers sooner.
*Why Psychologists Partner With ALP*
* Flexible volume: No full-time commitment or minimum monthly caseload.
* Established pipeline: Add evaluations without having to build every referral yourself.
* Less administrative work: ALP supports intake, scheduling, and insurance billing.
* Clinical autonomy: Maintain independent professional judgment throughout the diagnostic process.
* Meaningful impact: Help young children and families access answers sooner. Families are not required to pursue ABA services through ALP after an evaluation.
*What You'll Do*
* Conduct autism diagnostic evaluations for pediatric patients, provide family feedback and recommendations, and complete the diagnostic report.
* Evaluate children with autism and developmental concerns, including Early Intervention populations.
* Use appropriate standardized assessment tools within scope of licensure.
* Complete finalized reports within 24 hours of the family feedback appointment.
* Support virtual and in-person evaluations based on patient, payer, and market needs.
*What We're Looking For*
* PsyD, PhD or LPA in Psychology
* Active psychologist license in the state where services will be provided.
* Autism diagnostic evaluation experience.
* Pediatric assessment experience, including children under age 5.
* Ability to support some in-person evaluations in the designated market at ALP Centers.

Compensation: Starting at $34.00/hour or more, based on education, experience, certification, and internal equity
Schedule: Full-time, non-exempt position; may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

What You’ll Do as an RN (Nurse) - Case Management
Coordinate patient care by reviewing admissions and continued stays for clinical appropriateness
Assess effective resource utilization while promoting quality, safety, and positive patient outcomes
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated care
Monitor patient outcomes and help identify and resolve barriers to effective care
Promote ethical decision-making and maintain a patient-centered approach to care
Support problem aversion and contribute to a top-decile patient experience, quality, and safety
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families throughout the care process
Support coworkers, patients, and visitors by providing assistance within the scope of practice
Promote the mission, vision, and values of UNC Health Appalachian
Maintain professional nursing standards and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications/Licenses
Graduate of a nursing program - ADN required; BSN preferred
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina
Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience preferred
Previous Utilization Review or Quality Management experience preferred
Certification from the American Case Management Association preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members
Demonstrated ability to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care
Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to compassionate patient care
Knowledge of the continuum of nursing care within the patient care department

The Advanced Authorization Specialist is responsible for reading and interpreting various complex medical records to obtain authorizations for requested services and treatment plans. Communication with clinic staff, providers, Pharmacists, and insurance companies is essential to ensure completed peer reviews, relay updated medical and specialty drug policies, and appeals. They work closely with the Hospital and Provider Denial Management Teams to review monthly denials and assess opportunities for retro-active authorizations and determine root cause analysis. - Manage high volume Stat request mailbox for all oncology facilities for potential life altering, high-cost treatment and procedures within a short time frame. Expected treatment within 1-3 days.
- Interpret medical records to determine initial and disease progression to prove medical necessity for ordered services and complete on-line clinical requests for advanced authorization.
- Manage Atrium Health preferred drug list (chemotherapy/immunotherapy/supportive drugs) with payors and correlate changes with oncology pharmacy.
- Manage Atrium Health drug formulary changes with authorization updates with payors.
- Review laboratory panels for Bone Marrow Biopsies to authorize Molecular Lab Studies, diagnosis specific.
- Review and address monthly denials for Chemotherapy Drugs, Molecular Labs and surgeries with payors and Atrium Health Denial Management Teams (HBO/PBO).
