$38.20 - $57.30Major Responsibilities:
- Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
- Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
- Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
- Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
- Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making, respects interdisciplinary roles, and contributes to integrated, unbiased patient care.
- Appropriate delegation to other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and unlicensed assistive personnel (i.e., nurse aides, credentialed medical assistants, etc.).
- Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- May be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
Note: Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth/telenursing/virtual modalities are required to be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located. Licensed nurses are responsible and accountable for knowing, understanding, and practicing in compliance with the laws, rules, regulations, and standards of practice of the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located.
Experience
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

MUST HAVE:

NICE TO HAVE:
- Previous work experience in ophthalmology preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs preliminary screenings as ordered via physician including but not limited to providing detailed patient medical/ocular histories, obtaining visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry, pupil exam, instilling ocular medication, and visual field testing.
- Maintains assigned ophthalmic exam lanes/equipment in clinic. Cleans ophthalmic equipment in exam rooms according to guidelines. Maintains physical environment of exam rooms.
- Ensures exam room/lane are stocked appropriately.
- Interacts with patients/families, coworkers, and physicians in professional courteous manner always. Always maintain patient confidentiality. Always contributes to the positive atmosphere of the workplace.
- Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, required continuing education hours to maintain certification according to JCAHPO guidelines. Maintains current CPR certification during employment.
- Under the direction of the physician may perform prescription refill following standard guidelines.
- Demonstrates dedication to patient service and care by serving as a role model in always delivering quality patient care.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

What You'll Do:
Demonstrates proficiency by performing routine and emergency echocardiograms, including but not limited to 2-dimensional, 3- dimensional, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiogram, as requested by physician and in accordance with established protocols.
Records quality information while performing echocardiographic imaging and following procedural guidelines and protocols
Explains procedures and possible side effects to the patient or family members.
Provides echocardiography service at all necessary locations, portables, working variable shifts, weekends, and providing emergent call coverage as scheduled.
Operates equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording; utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers, digital networking system, and off-line analysis systems.
Maintain equipment in working order, making minor adjustments and repairs.
Performs routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and report any equipment malfunction to echo lab manager.
Analyze patient's medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.
Prepares preliminary reports for review and interpretation by Cardiologist.

This facility is not a trauma center, but offers many specialty service lines including Orthopedics, Robotic, General, Urology and Gynecology procedures. We are the only Atrium facility that has earned the AORN Go Clear designation, for maintaining a smoke-free facility by managing surgical smoke plume. Physical Requirements

Responsible for regional and site oversight of service line documentation system and associated processes, including oversight of organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, policy committees and work teams, charters, and scope of work for quality councils.
Submits abstracts, posters, results and innovations to national publications and makes presentations at national conferences.
Identifies and applies national and regional best practices, benchmarks, and quality tactics to enhance service line’s quality outcomes. Disseminates quality measure performance data to all clinicians while guiding improvement efforts.
Directs community outreach to support disease control, awareness, and early detection with particular focus on at-risk communities experiencing disparities in access and outcomes.

The Inpatient BMT/Cellular Therapies Clinical Team Lead Pharmacist at Levine Children’s Hospital will cover the inpatient bone marrow transplant team and provide medication expertise. Responsibilities will include floating to cover at Lakemoor Pharmacy Clinic location; and Condell, Good Shepherd and Sherman Outpatient Retail Discharge location.

$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities:
Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications
Accurately selects, prepares, and labels medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances
Assists with medication distribution tasks
Screens phone calls and routes as needed using proper telephone and voicemail etiquette
Assists in daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking
Complete documentation required for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances, where applicable
Perform nonsterile compounding following proper USP standards, where applicable
Perform sterile IV admixture, as defined at the entity level, using proper aseptic technique, where applicable
Inspects all assigned medication storage areas for adherence to storage policies
Completes and documents medication admission histories, as applicable at the facility level
Seeks additional duties when required work is done and accepts other duties as assigned
May participate in quality improvement initiatives to assure the excellence of departmental services
May assist in training pharmacy technicians and extenders in orientation to the policies, procedures, and workflows involved in pharmacy operations as applicable at entity level
Abides by all organization policies and procedures and complies with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
Supports area leaders regarding goals and work assignments
Obtaining and recording initial patient demographic and other required information, data entry of required information into the pharmacy system for record keeping, insurance verification and label generation purposes, and cashiering
Develop competence in third-party billing functions
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
May obtain immunization certification and perform immunizations for patients under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, where applicable
Responsible for operating an Advocate Health-owned motor vehicle to deliver medications and other essential medical supplies as required by the designated department
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Certification / Registration / License
Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements
Must receive certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) within 18 months from start date, or sooner if in more stringent in state.
