Position Summary:
- Assisting in cleaning and sanitation the food service area, (may include setting and clearing tables), includes dishwashing, sweeping and mopping and other utility tasks
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery at times, using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
- Must be able to follow HACCP for correct food handling and production.
- Properly stores foods in designated areas following all corporate, State, and Federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, customers, administrators, and Managers.
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following correct procedures
- Adheres to SPHP's code of conduct
Minimum Requirements:
- Food service and customer service experience is preferred
- Working papers required if under 18 years of age
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to read and write English on at a minimum 6th grade level

What you will do:
St. Peter's Hospital is seeking a full time Anatomic Pathology Tech to join our Pathology team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Under general supervision of the section supervisor, this person is responsible for the assessing and preparing of daily work assignments. This is a clerical position in the Pathology Lab. The individual will be completing file slides, charts, answering phones, preparing slides for send out, gathering slides for conference and consultations, slide and requisition filing, etc.
Responsibilities:
Keeps up to date on policies, procedures, skills, and successful completion of competency surveys in a timely manner.
Able to troubleshoot/problem solve minor/unusual problems in a timely manner.
Completes required CE.
Able to access and understand procedure and policy manuals within department.
Follows SOP for specimen storage/handling/reference lab testing.
Develops a basic understanding of the operation of all instrumentation/equipment used according to SOP, department policies and procedures.
Utilizes Copath functions to appropriately track specimens (overdue, pending logs, etc.).
Utilizes the system to find patient/test information and test results.
Assists with procedures, small projects, as necessary.
Completes annual review of lab safety, hazardous material, infectious control procedures.
Restocks supplies as required.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, work independently, and adaptable to tasks.

As a New Grad in our Telemetry unit focused on Observation status patients, you will be a part of a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of patient illnesses. This area features a fast pace similar to the ED with the diagnostic work ups and care needs of the Telemetry setting. Unit Overview:
The Banner Boswell Oncology Acute Care Unit consists of 22 private rooms with the ability to flex up to 42 semi-private rooms with the capability of utilizing up to 16 remote cardiac monitors which are centrally monitored from a centralized monitor room viewing station. Eleven of our 22 private rooms are designated for Medical Oncology patients with cancer and related diagnoses and the administration of chemotherapy. Eleven additional rooms are designated for general surgeries which can consist of urology, plastics, gynecological and abdominal cases. On our unit we can also see overflow medical patients with simple pneumonias, diabetes, renal disease, GI issues, and skin disorders.
This unit participates in our Progress In Place initiative, meaning the patients cared for on our units have a variety of medical conditions, and we serve both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients on the same unit.
As an RN New Grad on this unit, you will have the opportunity to work within a highly engaged team culture partnering to meet positive patient outcomes and demonstrate a Customer Obsessed work culture. Our team focus is on creating a healthy work environment through collaboration, hourly rounding, prompt answering of call lights, and a culture of clean and quiet, accomplished with acknowledging a “one team” mentality. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. POSITION SUMMARY

Unit Overview:
The Cardiac Acute Care Units, 3D/5D, have a combined 66 beds. 3D and 5D are sister units under the same team and leadership. 1:4-5 RN to Patient Ratios. 3D is a 38-bed unit, 5D is a 28-bed unit and has Hospice patients. Both specialize in cardiac care including congestive heart failure, post-catheterization care, and arrhythmia treatment. The unit will also involve care for some Med Surg patients. Assignments are based on acuity.
This unit participates in our Progress-In-Place initiative meaning our patients remain on the same unit for treatment even when their acuity level increases or decreases. We serve both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care acuity patients on the same unit.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. What you will do:
A medication historian conducts patient interviews within the hospital and emergency department to obtain medication lists. A standardized questionnaire and process to obtain a complete medication history is used for each patient. This history is a comprehensive list of prescription medications, infusions, over the counter products, immunizations, dietary and herbal supplements which is entered into the electronic medical record. The medication historian technician will use various resources to gather this information including calling physician offices, dialysis centers, pharmacies, hospitals and nursing homes and obtaining medication administration records to confirm outpatient regimens.
Responsibilities:
- Identify the patient to be seen per hospital policy based on alerts and consults
- Complete medication history for each medication identified using an established questionnaire as a guide to obtain a comprehensive list of patient’s entire medication regimen patient's (i.e., medication name, dose, route, frequency, time/date last dose taken). This may involve interviewing the patient, caregiver and or family member.
- Documentation each medication, including prescription, outpatient infusions, over-the-counter medication, dietary and herbal supplements into the electronic medical record. Documents dates and times of last doses administered per protocol.
- Confirm the medication history using a secondary source (i.e., electronic medication history resource, patient’s preferred community pharmacy, MARs, physician office, medication bottles…etc).
- Verify and document patient’s allergies and reported reactions.
What you will need:
- Minimum Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience.
- Must be certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) from either PTCB or NHA
- Accurate and detail oriented with exemplary time management skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be able to write, speak and read English proficiently
- Ability to interact with patients and their caregivers as well as various members of the healthcare team (i.e., nurses, pharmacists, physicians, outpatient providers, nursing home staff)
- Must be willing to interact with patients at the bedside including wearing appropriate PPE and entering patient facing areas
- Knowledge of brand and generic medication names and dosing for the top 200 commonly prescribed medications within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge and skills in using computers and common software applications
- Position requires long periods of standing and significant walking
Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.67
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Electrophysiology team in a primarily procedure-based role within the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Working collaboratively with electrophysiology physicians and with a high degree of autonomy, this APP will provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing atrial fibrillation ablations and other electrophysiology procedures, including direct current cardioversions and implantable loop recorder insertions.

Scope of Practice / What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Manage pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing atrial fibrillation ablations.
- Perform direct current cardioversions.
- Perform implantable loop recorder insertions.
- Conduct patient assessments, education, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with electrophysiologists and Ambulatory Surgery Center staff to support exceptional patient outcomes.
- Practice with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining close physician collaboration.

Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute's Cardiothoracic Surgery program is seeking a full-time advanced practice provider (APP) to join our OR only surgical APP team. This APP will function independently in the inpatient hospital and operating room setting in collaboration with a supervising physician and other members of a multidisciplinary team.
Atrium Health Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute is offering a $90,000 sign on bonus paid out in four annual installments for OR-only Cardiothoracic surgery positions. Candidates are required to have more than 3 years experience in CTS including EVH proficiency.
Job Summary
- OR only Cardiothoracic surgical APP position with a primary focus on cardiac surgery.
- Provide first assistance across a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures and demonstrate independent proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and, when applicable, arterial harvesting.
- Position will be weighted toward cardiac surgery, with a strong emphasis on operative first-assist experience and endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH).
- Coordinate, provide, and assist in providing comprehensive quality patient care to the Cardiology sub-specialty in collaboration with a supervising physician.
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation under direction of the supervising physician.
- Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served.
- Weekends, Holidays, and Call required on a rotating schedule.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge and skill set of pre-, peri-, and postoperative procedures.
- Performs a wide range of cardiac surgical and medical procedures, with primary emphasis on first assisting in the operating room.
- Performs endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) proficiently using the Hemopro system; endoscopic arterial harvesting experience is valued when applicable.
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems
- Obtain detailed history and physicals on consultations and admissions.
- Order and interpret a variety of laboratory and diagnostic testing when indicated for appropriate assessment and treatment.
- Participates in education and training of APP students, APP Fellows, and onboarding of new APP hires (when appropriate)
- Attends and participates in Atrium Health and Sanger required meetings, education, development sessions.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with strong decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
- Must be a team player while working with a variety of MD's and APP's for inpatient management and coordination of patient care.
Position Qualifications:
- Graduation for an accredited NP or PA program. Must be approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of North and South Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
- Nurse Practitioner: Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. ACNP, AGACNP certification required.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master's Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
- Cardiothoracic surgery experience required, including cardiac first-assist experience and demonstrated proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH).
- Demonstrate appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills when working in a fasted paced, high acuity work environment. Able to perform a thorough history and physical assessment.
