Nebraska Medicine is seeking an individual to join our Access Services team in a front-line, patient-facing role. In this position, you will have a meaningful impact on patients and visitors and often serve as the first impression of Nebraska Medicine.
Position Highlights:
• Work in high-volume, fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
• Interact with patients face-to-face and at bedside
• Accurately handle sensitive financial and insurance information in real time
• Maintain professionalism in stressful or emotionally charged situations
• Float and cross-train across departments as needed
Schedule:
• Part-Time (20 hours/week)
• Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Sunday, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
• Benefits Eligible
Training Schedule:
• Full-time for the first 3 weeks: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Training is required, non-negotiable, and must be completed before transitioning to the regular schedule. Please only apply if you are able to fully commit.

Duties: Sr Patient Access Associate
Ensure patients and customers are greeted in a professional, timely and efficient manner and accounts are created accurately and efficiently in order to optimize cash flow for organization while exceeding customer expectations and complying with all state and federal regulations and laws throughout the processes of scheduling confirmation, pre-registration/pre admission, registration/admission, insurance verification, receipting of payments, and patient way finding/escorting. Coverage for position is required 24 hours a day 7 days a week with needs in various areas of the organization, including the emergency department. Face to face and bedside patient contact required.
Required Qualifications: Sr Patient Access Associate
• Minimum of two years customer service experience required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a proactive self-directed manner required.
• Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with aptitude for detail-oriented work required.
• Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization to foster a team environment required.
• Ability to type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy rating required.
•Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire or transfer date required required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later). Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire or transfer date required (cost will be funded by department).
Preferred Qualifications: Sr Patient Access Associate
• Experience in health care, collections, registration, or revenue cycle preferred.
• Associate's degree in business, healthcare or related field preferred.
• Experience in health care revenue cycle functions including insurance or registration preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel preferred.
• Depending on the position available, fluency in Spanish preferred.

Position Highlights:
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Ambulatory Care Pharmacist – Medical Oncology to join our nationally recognized program at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. This position supports patients across the continuum of care, with a focus on solid tumor malignancies.
The Ambulatory Care Pharmacist serves as an integral member of the Medical Oncology team, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role promotes continuity of care, supporting complex oncology patients.
In this role, the pharmacist serves as a clinical partner within a multidisciplinary care team, helping optimize complex medication regimens, monitor treatment response and toxicity, and support safe transitions between inpatient and outpatient care. The work is highly collaborative and focused on patient education, adherence, and evidence-based decision-making in a high-acuity setting.
This opportunity is well suited for a pharmacist who thrives in complex clinical environments, values collaboration, and is interested in practicing at the top of their license while contributing to high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities / Inpatient / Acute Care Contributions
Participate in multidisciplinary rounding on Medical Oncology inpatient services
Optimize chemotherapy and supportive care medication therapy
Provide real-time clinical decision support to providers and care teams Support safe medication use and contribute to protocol development and implementation.
Ambulatory / Clinic-Based Contributions
Support Medical Oncology clinics through direct patient care, therapy management, and longitudinal follow-up
Manage in-basket messages, treatment plans, and therapy coordination
Provide patient education and counseling for complex oncology regimens
Facilitate transitions of care between care settings
Shared Responsibilities
Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams.
Lead and participate in quality improvement, research, and program development initiatives
Precept pharmacy students, PGY1, and PGY2 residents
Contribute to the academic mission through teaching and scholarship
Shift Details:
Full-Time (40 hours/week), (Monday through Friday 8AM-4:30PM or 8:30AM-5PM) with intermittent weekend accountability

Ambulatory Care Pharmacist - Oncology - Duties:
Lead provision of patient-oriented pharmaceutical care services including creation and maintenance of pharmaceutical care plan, cost-effective therapeutic drug monitoring, drug utilization, guideline development, and drug use evaluation in assigned clinical teams. Provide training and educational support for development of clinical skills in professional staff. Responsible for dissemination of new knowledge, utilization trends and outcomes information related to medication use/pharmaceutical care programs at the organization. Lead efforts to educate other disciplines regarding appropriate use of drug therapy.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
Graduate of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency or an ASHP accredited postgraduate year two residency relevant to practice area OR have 4 years of pharmacist experience in the relevant area of practice OR have pharmacist experience within a Nebraska Medicine ambulatory care clinic required.
Demonstrate excellence in clinical areas as displayed by ability to consistently and completely meet and contribute to updating standards of practice required.
Maturity and leadership skills required.
Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications:

Perform diagnostic testing to assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Use comprehensive knowledge to accurately perform and evaluate highly complex laboratory testing in an efficient manner. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Bachelor’s degree with specified number of science courses for MLS certification required.
- Certified medical laboratory scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists MLS(ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT) or equivalent within 12 months eligibility/graduation required. Equivalent certifications include Medical Technologist (MT (ASCP)) OR Clinical Laboratory Scientist certified by the National Credentialing Agency (CLS (NCA)) prior to 2004 or International certification and qualification: International Medical Laboratory Scientist, MLS(ASCPi) required.
- Individuals who were certified beginning January 1, 2004 maintaining their certification by participation in the ASCP ---Board of Certification (BOC) Certification Maintenance Program (ASCP)CM required.

The Senior Engineer, Security Automation will work independently, identify information/cyber security strategies and solutions to ensure the enterprise maintains a robust information/cyber security posture. Research, evaluate, recommend, and test new security strategies and systems for incorporation into the enterprise strategic plan. Lead deployment of identified strategies. Identify network security policies and security plans for data, software applications, hardware, and computer installations. Lead enterprise incident response.
Required Qualifications: Senior Engineer, Security Automation
• Minimum of five years of information security management required with exposure to infrastructure and system security, security scanning and vulnerability management and remediation, server management or end user deuce security required.

Position Highlights:

Duties: Sr Patient Access Associate
Ensure patients and customers are greeted in a professional, timely and efficient manner and accounts are created accurately and efficiently in order to optimize cash flow for organization while exceeding customer expectations and complying with all state and federal regulations and laws throughout the processes of scheduling confirmation, pre-registration/pre admission, registration/admission, insurance verification, receipting of payments, and patient way finding/escorting. Coverage for position is required 24 hours a day 7 days a week with needs in various areas of the organization, including the emergency department. Face to face and bedside patient contact required.
Required Qualifications: Sr Patient Access Associate
• Minimum of two years customer service experience required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a proactive self-directed manner required.
• Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with aptitude for detail-oriented work required.
• Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization to foster a team environment required.
• Ability to type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy rating required.
•Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire or transfer date required required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later). Duties:
Properly, professionally, and sensitively obtain and handle medical records by communicating and coordinating with patients, physician offices, hospitals and other medical organizations/personnel in order to create accurate and sufficiently comprehensive patient charts. Coordinate patient referrals to designated clinical programs and services by being a part of and communicating with a team of people tasked with ensuring that patient appointments are timely, accurate and appropriate. Register and schedule patients in a customer service oriented, efficient and effective manner and in accordance with department guidelines. Complete complex scheduling of multiple appointments and/or services. Provide clerical support relating to scheduling and/or coordination of various services and surgical procedures within the organization. Provide administrative support as necessary to all team members in clinic, surgical and procedural areas, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare customer service environment required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling related capacity (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.
Demonstrated verbal and written customer relations skills required.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team required.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Demonstrated analytical, prioritizing and organizational skills required.

Provide and promote the delivery of 24/7 transitional quality patient care for a designated group of patients through role modeling, displaying excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice, and acting as educator for the transplant patient population. Provide a continuum of care and education for pre and post-transplant patients and their families (living donor or recipient) and serve as a patient advocate in the healthcare system and community.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of three years nursing experience or other direct patient care experience working with complex patients required.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format required.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisplinary team, using good judgment and assessment skills required.
