Accountable for the assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation during the pre operative, intra operative and post operative phases of nursing care. Assists the physician during surgery and procedures by functioning in the circulating role. Develops, implements, manages/coordinates an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience. Engages in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice.
Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- Two years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regards to nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people
- Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook), Electronic Health Record
- Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- Work independently, as well as being part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives

Duties: Infection Preventionist
Implement, coordinate, and evaluate the infection control process for designated in-patient and out-patient care areas to reduce the risk of infections in patients, visitors, and personnel.Identify, investigate, monitor, and report instances of healthcare acquired infection.Educate colleagues on infection control and safety practices.Develop, implement, and evaluate the organizational infection prevention program.Lead quality assurance and performance improvement activities as they relate to patient safety, facility safety and patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of three years infection control, clinical health, or laboratory related experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or other related scientific health fields (e.g., public health, medical technology, etc.) required.
• Phone and computer literacy with data analysis interpretation required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills including public speaking required.
• Knowledge of individual and group behaviors required.
•Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon completion of unit orientation required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with health care related accreditation and regulatory agencies' standards preferred.
• Clinical research experience (e.g., trial design, data collection and analysis) preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license preferred.
• Certification in infection control preferred.

Duties: Respiratory Therapist
Responsible for patient care assessment, critical thinking and knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Develops and implements effective patient care, treatment, and cardiopulmonary disease management. Provides respiratory therapy procedures and/or modalities in areas such as emergent, acute, surgical, chronic and/or ambulatory care settings for a variety of patient populations.
Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in respiratory care required.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP) from the State of Nebraska required.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the NBRC within two years of hire required.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Duties: Retail Pharmacy Technician
Prepares and dispenses medication upon receiving prescription from prescribers and processes all related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Required Qualifications: Retail Pharmacy Technician
Minimum of 18 years of age required.

Radiology Technologist – Ambulatory Description:
Provide expert diagnostic radiological imaging and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, under the direction of licensed practitioners. Promote efficient operation of the clinic, and provide assistance to physicians and support staff.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in radiology required.
Demonstrate effective communication skills required.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or ability to obtain ARRT certification, in all practice specialty areas, within one year 1 of hire or transfer date required.

- Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) issued by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) must be obtained on a one-time basis within two years of appointment to this role. Recertification is not required.

Major Responsibilities:
- Uses Respiratory therapy processes to support assessment of patient utilizing a variety of skills such as pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiograph, hemodynamic values, laboratory values, and correlates blood gases and electrolytes. Can identify and address the special needs of patient population specific to department services.
- Operates specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues. Assists physician with bedside or other procedures as applicable to facility.
- Provides medication treatments and therapies per physician order and/or patient driven respiratory protocols as prescribed.
- Cleans, maintains, and ensures proper functionality of equipment. Troubleshoots equipment as necessary and identifies the need for service and/or repair.
- Educates and instructs patients in purpose, technique, self-care, goal of therapy, and disease management.
- Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments to provide education on managing patients.
- Under physician direction, the respiratory therapist must be able to adapt and comply to policies and procedures for a variety of different service areas, perform tasks and/or special duties as required by assignment and maintain performance standards and organizational behaviors.

Responsible for the collection and review of clinical protocol research and registry data. Interpret data (including appropriate source documentation) for entry into computerized databases. Join our team as a compassionate and skilled Inpatient Medical Social Worker. In this role, you will provide psychosocial support to patients and their families while assisting with discharge planning, crisis intervention, and care coordination across a variety of medical and surgical settings, including transplant, pediatrics, and outpatient services.
You will complete biopsychosocial assessments, identify patient needs, and develop individualized care and discharge plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. You will also connect patients with community resources, including home care, skilled nursing, and acute rehabilitation, and provide support during complex situations involving abuse or neglect, substance use, housing instability, and other barriers to care.
