Position Purpose
This position is for New Graduate Nurses interested in beginning their career at Holy Cross. We are seeking exceptional talent who is ready to blossom their careers with an exceptional health care system!
What makes our Graduate Nurse / Nurse Residency Program different from others?
Our graduate nurse program is comprised of four complementary components:
- Hospital & Nursing Orientation: a multi-day introduction to our organization
- Unit Orientation: 12-20 week competency-based orientation program
- Mentorship: 3+ month peer support program
- Nurse Residency Program: 12-month professional development coursework
Our program is designed to introduce the graduate and novice nurse into the practice arena with sensitivity to the ever-changing dynamics in our world and environment. With all the stressors inherent to a new job or role, we have purposefully introduced changes to our program to allow a more gradual immersion – with the result being a more confident and satisfied practitioner.
Our CAP program (Clinical Advancement Program) offers Nurses the opportunity to advance both in recognition and financial reward.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred). Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse (or licensed prior to hire).
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
- Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
- Competency in electronic patient management systems.
Preferred:
- BSN or MSN preferred

Pay Range: $40.09 – $57.35. Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Position Summary
The Nurse Supervisor - House (Administrative Coordinator) is responsible for providing administrative oversight and operational leadership across the hospital on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays. This role serves as the key clinical and administrative leader during nights and other times when department directors, managers, and senior administration are not onsite.
The House Supervisor coordinates hospital operations, facilitates communication among departments, supports staff and patient needs, and ensures organizational standards are maintained throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative leadership and operational coordination for all hospital departments during assigned shifts.
- Ensure hospital operations continue effectively and efficiently while meeting the needs of patients and their families.
- Maintain awareness of hospital-wide activities and respond to operational, clinical, and staffing concerns.
- Communicate significant events and issues to on-call administrative leadership as appropriate and seek guidance when needed.
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Serve as a resource for clinical teams, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist with patient flow, bed management, staffing coordination, and emergency response situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hospital nursing experience with exposure to clinical services, material management, medical staff interactions, and patient admissions.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and data management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.

As a Staff Chaplain you will:
- Provide Spiritual Care within his/her local ministry, addressing the spiritual needs of patients, participants, residents, families, and colleagues, with a particular focus on spiritual distress, grief support, crisis intervention, and support during significant life changes.
- As a fully integrated member of the health care team with professional expertise in Spiritual Care, works alongside other care givers, responding specifically to the spiritual needs of those served.
- Develop, conduct, and participate in programs of spiritual care to promote healthy communities and sacred environments while facilitating the inclusion of faith leaders from churches, synagogues, and mosques, etc. in the provision of Spiritual Care for their members, as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Makes available, delivers, and facilitates transformative Spiritual Care experiences to patients, residents, participants, visitors, and all colleagues across the healthcare continuum, and the communities served. Ensures that the religious beliefs, practices, and values of those served are honored and respected within the total healing process.
- Implements systems and processes to assess religious and spiritual needs, including needs for ethics consultation, and provides interventions or referrals based on the assessed needs.
- Documents in the electronic medical record professional Spiritual Care assessments (e.g., assessment of "spiritual distress") as determined, interventions as provided, and outcomes as observed with appropriate plans of care.
- In collaboration with the Spiritual Care Manager, measures, evaluates, and improves functional processes of Spiritual Care for effectiveness in accordance with approved Mission Integration strategy and tactics connected to achieving system-wide priority objectives.
- Fosters the provision of generalized Spiritual Care to those served (e.g., screening for Spiritual Distress and responding to signs of spiritual distress, etc.) by non-Spiritual Care colleagues via programs of Spiritual Care education and direct modeling of Spiritual Care practices.
- Facilitates opportunities for interfaith or specific faith meditation, prayer, worship, and as appropriate participation in religious sacraments, sometime in collaboration with clergy or ministers from outside communities. Contributes to maintaining appropriate sacred space.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, with other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
- Reports directly to the Manager of Spiritual Care and in some cases may also report to an immediate ministry site supervisor as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or Spirituality, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of Spiritual Care experience in the ED/ER preferred, including CPE training, which is required. An equivalent combination of experience may be considered.
- Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) for five years strongly preferred via one of the following licensing groups: APC, CASC, NACC, and NAJC, which includes completion of a master’s degree as required by one of the certifying agencies from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) academic institution with completion of 4 units (1600 hours) of ACPE accredited Spiritual Care education, and faith-based endorsement as recognized by one of the certifying agencies.

This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience. - Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).

- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Participates in patient centered initiatives, care management, performance and quality improvement activities.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Working Conditions:
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift patients/patient care equipment up to 35 pounds. Must be able to push, pull, and move patients and patient care equipment. Description:
Reporting to the director of the unit, the CNA works under the delegated authority of a registered nurse to perform a nursing function within their scope of practice and assist the nurse in collecting data for a nursing assessment under the supervision of a nurse.
Responsibilities:
Support the Nursing Staff providing care for patients in various units throughout the hospital.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may be assigned to function in either the Health Unit Coordinator or Nursing Assistant role or as a patient sitter in the ED.
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
What you will need:
Current licensure by the Maryland State Board for Certified Nursing Assistant
High School Diploma or equivalent.
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
At least two years of CNA experience in an acute care hospital setting required for the Float Pool position.
Pay Range: $18.93 – $25.04
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Education, Experience and Certifications

- Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
