Description:
- This position requires the application of precise positioning techniques combined with accurate settings of technical factors as well as the monitoring of equipment to insure proper functioning.
Responsibilities:
- Produces high quality computed tomography exams, that produce images of optimum diagnostic quality according to department and procedure on a daily basis while assuring proper and professional patient care.
- Constant mental attention is required while performing studies and proper sterile technique.
- Must demonstrate the capability of maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships consistent with the Holy Cross Health's Mission.
- Accountable for the operation of imaging equipment, to take images of designated areas of the body under the supervision of the Radiologist.
- Supports mission philosophy and policy/procedures of Holy Cross Health Systems and the Medical Imaging Department. Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization-related information. Adheres to standard precautions.
- Completes annual mandatory training, in-services, competency documentation and any other departmental documents. Identifies care needs of patients/significant others and implements interventions and utilizes equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served to include: neonates, infants, pediatric, young adults, middle adults and late adults.
- Effectively participates in team/committee activities of Medical Imaging. Participates in quality assessment and improvement programs.
- Attends departmental staff meetings. Assists in orientation of new staff.
- Completes other duties as assigned such as on-call, transporting patients, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, peer review, etc.
- Participates in team environment and will complete duties as assigned which are not limited to any one modality.
- Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
What you will need:
- Graduate of a JRC/ERT approved Radiologic Technology Program
- Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English language.
- One-year experience in CT Scan preferred
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R)
- Licensed by the State of Maryland as a Radiographer
- CPR Certified - American Heart Association
- Registered Computed Tomography (CT) (R) Preferred
OR
- Nuclear Medicinal Technology Certification Board NMTCB with post primary (ARRT) CT and MD State Licensure
- Must present documentation to practice on dedicated CT scanner/ MD Board of Physicians and training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams
Pay Range: $37.18 - $55.77
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

- Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety.
- Checks in and registers patients; obtains and verifies complete demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket patient responsibilities. Obtaining accurate information at the point of registration helps ensure timely payment to the organization and prevents billing issues and patient complaints. Maintains complete confidentiality regarding patient personal/financial information and medical records in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Knows insurance basics and recognizes commercial and government plans. Understands which plans Advocate Health contracts with and when a statement of financial responsibility is needed. Understands and discusses financial information and obligations with patients. Knows how and when to refer patients to Financial Advocates.
- Has knowledge of which rules, forms and questions must be enforced to make sure Advocate Health remains compliant with government agencies and regulations. Examples are HIPAA, Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), Consent for Treatment, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Important Message from Medicare (IMM), Medicare Outpatient Observation Notice (MOON), Notice of Privacy Practices, Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire (MSPQ), Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN). Obtains patient or guarantor signatures as required.
- May schedule patient appointments: may also coordinate cancellations, reschedules, wait list requests, and recall requests. Provides accurate, detailed information regarding test preparations, patient arrival time, medication/food/beverage consumption guidelines, check-in procedures, directions to facility, etc.
- Creates a welcoming and professional environment for our patients and visitors by demonstrating extraordinary customer service. Greets patients and visitors and responds to routine requests for information. Answers telephone, screens calls, and takes messages. Offers various assistance to patients to include arranging transportation needs, providing directions, locating a wheelchair, coordinating interpreter services, etc.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position may require travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
- Responds quickly to patient medical status and emergency situations occurring in clerical areas.

- Notary training/licensure may be required as appropriate for service line and/or facility.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Exposed to a normal office environment with significant patient and public contact. May be exposed to ill or contagious patients.
- Must be able to transition from sitting to standing frequently. Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time and be physically mobile throughout the workday.
- Frequently lifts to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifts 20 lbs. or more. Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Occurs when moving equipment, supplies and/or when transporting patients through doorways, ramps and elevators.
- Escorts patients to nursing units or outpatient departments as necessary.
- Sensory requirements include vision, hearing and touch. Must also be able to speak clearly.
- Must be able to use hands with fine motor skills for keyboard data entry.

Coordinates and monitors daily activities for the Health Information Management (HIM) department within the assigned facilities. Serves as the backup for the Manager, HIM as the primary HIM contact for the site. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Management functions, as normally obtained through an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of years of education and experience required.
Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred.
At least three (3) years of current progressively more responsible experience in diverse functional areas of HIM in an acute care environment required.

- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance as required.
- Install, test, and repair equipment according to standard practices set forth by the trade, State, and local government safety regulations.
- Change and/or adjust all equipment system related to maintaining building climate control. Also maintain all associated equipment controlled by Plant Operations department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Maryland Grade 1 Engineer License
Possess at least ONE of the following qualifications listed in numbers 1-5:
- 5 years of documented experience as an active MD Grade 2 under the direction and control of a licensed MD Grade 1.
- 1 year of credit for 6 credit hours or CEU's in boiler safety or operations; AND
- 1 year of credit for holding a current active license as a:
- Master Plumber
- Master Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration contractor
- Master restricted Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning contractor
- 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university or college Licensure as a Professional Engineer, including
- 1 year of documented experience as a professional engineer; AND
- 1 year of documented experience as a MD Grade 2 under the direction and control of a MD Grade 1.
- A valid Marine Engineer's certificate or Chief Petty Officer's certificate from the United States Navy with documentation of steam boiler engineer training. Equivalent experience to 1, 2, 3 or 4 above may be submitted to the Board for consideration and approval. Requires judgment and independent action in determining operating conditions of equipment and in making repairs, and meeting emergency situations all within limits of standard practice.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Ability to understand and manipulate systems computers.
- Capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Weekend work and shift rotation is required.
Pay Range: $32.44 - $50.29

The new emergency department will feature 14 fully equipped exam rooms, a dedicated trauma and treatment room, and advanced diagnostic capabilities, including X-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound services. Working in close partnership with Banner Estrella Medical Center, the Buckeye emergency department will ensure seamless coordination of care with our ongoing commitment to expanding access to exceptional healthcare and supporting the continued growth of the West Valley.
As a Security Officer, you will respond promptly to emergency situations, help ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff, conduct routine patrols of facilities and grounds, and provide effective alarm monitoring and response services. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the organization's commitment to safety.

Schedule: Wednesday, 12:00am - 6:00am Thursday -Saturday 6:00pm -6:00am
Employees who work at least two (2) hours during the night shift window, defined as 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, are eligible for an 18% night shift differential.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position patrols the facilities and grounds; assists with the welfare and safety of personnel and patients; investigates critical incidents; assists employees, patients and visitors; interfaces with emergency response agencies; secures doors; monitors parking and traffic control. Performs assigned security duties promptly and accurately. Works varied assignments and shifts.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and be customer service oriented in all contacts with patients, visitors and staff.
2. Responds to all emergency codes for assistance and control. Patrols and inspects facility frequently to assist in maintaining a safer and more secure environment. Assists employees with security related matters, mediate disputes, conduct interviews, conduct searches, enforces parking regulations and traffic control. Serves as a security subject matter expert.
3. Assists medical staff in restraining and handling troubled/combative patients. Ensures security policies are being followed. Patrols unoccupied areas and sets the alarms when appropriate. Locks and unlocks facility doors at prescribed times. Conducts money pick-ups from departments, logs pick-ups and successfully delivers the contents to the appropriate destination department. Releases bodies from the morgue, ensuring that all paperwork is complete. Checks alarms to ensure they are in proper working order. Escorts patients, visitors and employees when required for security purposes. Participates in security lead training designed for staff.
4. Maintains current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Performs “citizen arrest” and demonstrate critical thinking skills during extremely stressful situations as needed.
5. Utilizes assigned non-lethal weapon according to policy and training.
6. Investigates and completes written reports of complaints, critical security incidents and unusual activities involving patients, employees and visitors. Maintains an accurate log of all relevant security activities during each shift.
7. Testifies in criminal court, state hearings and review boards when required.
8. Assists in the maintenance and preservation of confidential health documents including scanning into electronic patient health information systems when necessary.
9. Reports directly to the Security leadership or OIC in their absence. This position interacts internally with staff, physicians, visitors, volunteers and patients. External customers are law enforcement agencies and emergency service agencies. The position is system wide and officers may be assigned to work at any facility as needed. This position will provide guidance and direction to staff, visitors and patients during a security emergency. This position will be required to proactively identify, deter and respond to security incidents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must maintain required security certifications. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
Must possess the ability to make accurate observations and exercise good independent judgment in a variety of situations (including emergencies). Must demonstrate the ability to write comprehensive security reports. Must successfully complete all required security departmental training, including department specific annual training and mandatory training as assigned. Must successfully complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and must possess strong verbal communications skills. Must qualify and maintain proficiency with assigned non-lethal weapons. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform physical requirements of the position. Capabilities will be demonstrated through the successful completion of similarly related skills testing. This physical skills assessment will then be conducted on a bi-annual basis and employees must successfully meet the requirements to remain in role.
Employees must possess a Fingerprint Clearance Card within 60 days of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must have a fingerprint clearance card at time of hire and must sign a Criminal History Affidavit upon hire.
