Education
- Required - Associate's Degree/College Diploma in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science
- Required - OR - military MLT certificate.
- Required - Copy of Transcript.
Work Experience
- Preferred - Hospital or Clinical Laboratory Testing experience.
Certifications
- Required - Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license in the state of practice (if applicable) or within 180 days of hire.
- Required - ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as Medical Lab Technician must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Any incumbents certified by ASCP on or after January 1, 2004 must successfully complete the requirements of the ASCP's Certification Maintenance Program.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.

Education

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Certification of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required within 2 years of hire.

- Records and maintains transactions appropriately ensuring account balances and discrepancies are resolved within the prescribed period.
- Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work and convinces debtors on the necessity of assuming financial responsibility.
- Educates the debtor on any available payment options, as well as explain the financial impact of various alternatives.
- Provides top quality customer service experience on every patient inquiry received to ensure and maintain high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Must represent the company by providing appropriate/applicable levels of competency and professionalism to ensure all patients issues are resolve timely, accurately and efficiently.

- Perform transabdominal and transvaginal scans to obtain detailed fetal anatomic exams, umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery doppler studies, biophysical profiles, early 1st trimester dating exams, 2D imaging studies, and cervical lengths.
- Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol
- Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards.
- Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performing notification/remediation as warranted. Education
Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree Science of Nursing (BSN) required for all Ochsner Magnet Facilities.

Experience
Required – 1 year of relevant experience as a registered nurse
OR
2 years of experience as an LPN in an acute care setting.

Certifications
Required – Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Administers medications, starts IVs, and discharges patients with their healthcare team.
Organizes, plans, supervises, and provides coordinated patient care within the unit.
Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned departmental staff nurses and technicians.
Promotes the adoption of nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines to support evidence-based practice.
Manages conflict on assigned shifts and collaborates with other supervisors and unit leadership if further action is needed.
Collaborates with patient quality, safety, and experience leadership and promotes patient quality, safety, and experience processes.
Supports daily clinical operations on the unit by ensuring effective scheduling, staffing, and appropriate clinical supplies and resources are available for patient care.

Education

- Supervises team's special project loads as assigned by management for internal and external consulting through financial reporting.
- Assists in the review of monthly financial statements for fluctuations in variable expenses, and identifies trends and makes recommendations to leadership.
- Creates, generates, maintains, and monitors customer service surveys, employee morale surveys, performance management statistical reports, and global business services key indicators, graphs, and reports as well as individual project management logs.
- Communicates information to team members and leadership to ensure accurate analysis and participates in quality assurance activities.
- Ensures quality improvement by implementing professional standards, collecting and analyzing QA data, participating in interdisciplinary QA teams, and developing quality control measures through the effective use of sample audits.
- Supports departmental goals and participates in activities for professional development.
