Emergency Department
Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is a Level IV Trauma Designated unit with 28 beds that provides comprehensive, around-the-clock care to patients of all ages. The department treats a wide range of conditions, from non-emergent complaints to life-threatening illnesses and injuries. A dedicated split-flow area supports efficient evaluation and treatment of fast-track patients with lower acuity needs. Additionally, the ED includes a behavioral health intake area designed to safely assess and manage patients presenting mental health and behavioral health concerns.
The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.
As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.

Cardiovascular Registered Nurse ( RN ) - Bronson Methodist Hospital - Full-time (80 hrs/pp)Under general supervision, functions as scrub nurse, circulator and/or recorder in diagnostic cases, and as a circulator or recorder in intervention cases in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Is responsible for cost effective and efficient delivery of nursing services and the provision of safe patient care. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the State of Michigan with 1 year of experience required.
As of December 29, 2013, any nurse hired by Bronson who does not hold a BSN (or higher nursing degree) will be given 8 years from date of hire date to obtain. If, after 8 years, the nurse has not met this requirement, employment will be terminated.
2 years clinical experience in adult cardiac critical care and/or CVL training preferred
BLS/ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire date.
• Basic PC computer skills to operate the database and office programs used in the department; can be acquired after hire
• Regularly works with patients where social sensitivity and the ability to communicate effectively are definitely required
• Must be able to work and communicate with all managers, employees, physicians, and customers with which Cardiovascular Services Department does business
• Must be able to work well within a small work group which includes: communicating effectively with team members, assertively handling conflict, diplomatically resolving issues, participating in problem-solving
• Must treat everyone in a professional manner
Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time. Involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.
• Assesses, monitors, and provides appropriate professional nursing care to patients throughout their stay in CVSL.
• Documents abnormalities in physical assessment, as well as recommended interventions and patient response; obtains and notes physician orders; and, maintains appropriate nursing and patient records.
• Responsible for assisting the physician with invasive cardiology procedures, such as heart catheterizations, intra-aortic balloon pump insertion, pacemaker and ICD insertion, etc. Functions as scrub nurse, circulator and/or recorder in diagnostic cases, and as a circulator or recorder in intervention cases. Typically the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o setting up sterile table according to procedure
o prepping and draping patient appropriately and using proper sterile techniques during procedures
o preparing and proficiently operating all equipment (including radiographic) used in the procedure and all related monitoring and recording equipment
o assisting and anticipating the needs of the physician in the performance of procedures
o communicating significant data to physicians and other members of the team as each case proceeds
o administering all medications when required
• Manages images for review by the physician and for the permanent record.
• Completely and accurately documents and charges procedures; enters and records pertinent laboratory values, pressure waveforms and ECGs physical assessments and other pertinent information into logs and the computer and processes related paperwork.
• Orders and maintains appropriate levels of medications as well as other routine supplies used in the Lab.
• Maintains instruments and equipment in a clean and functional condition. Performs minor repairs, calibrations, and adjustments on equipment. Brings to the attention of supervisor the need for special service or maintenance.
• Keeps current in professional knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular technologies.

Job Description:
Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes the following roles, which will vary by facility need: patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning.

Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Pharmacy Medication Assistance Coordinator collaborates with patients, patient financial advisors (PFA), and other healthcare professionals in designated ambulatory areas to provide comprehensive financial advocacy that assists patients and reduces negative financial impact on the organization. This position serves as an expert resource to pursue medication assistance that includes managing a patient’s experience with copay assistance and free drug programs. The Pharmacy Medication Assistance Coordinator must demonstrate excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills. Serves as a role model and facilitates a professional customer-focused approach. Provides excellent customer service to communicate application needs with patients. Follows the enterrpise financial clearance and financial assistance policy and procedures. Maintains productivity, quality and customer service requirements according to department policy and procedure.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Coordinates pharmacy activities for defined areas of responsibility within the department. This may include, but is not limited to activities such as regulatory compliance, automation, medication access, sterile and non-sterile compounding, use and maintenance of equipment, and coordination of daily work.

Required Education and Experience

- Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri - per work state upon Hire
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR
- equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Technician must maintain certification on an ongoing basis and complete all continuing education requirements.

The Innovation Unit, also known as 3AC, is a 44-bed medical-surgical unit that pilots new ideas for the hospital. Nurses will care for a wide range of medical diagnosis and conditions. POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. 1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. 3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Job Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring that all basic surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed and tracked in a quality / timely manner throughout the hospital. Will begin to train and validate competencies to allow perform of these duties independently and without close supervision. Utilizes applications and technology to accurately facilitate record keeping in accordance with State and Federal regulations, promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards, performs other duties as assigned. May be required to work overtime based on business need, may be required to float to other departments (within the scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need, may be required to be placed on-call based on business needs.

Level I
- Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect basic surgical instruments.
- Identify, Assemble, protect, wrap, contain, peel pack, label and sterilize/high level disinfect basic surgical instruments.
- Print off a needs list and collect all the necessary items needed for surgical/medical procedures.

- Identify, Assemble, protect, wrap, contain, peel pack, label and sterilize surgical instruments in alignment with proficiencies of our education system in addition to basic procedures and 4+ surgical specialties including higher acuity procedures (i.e. Orthopedics, neuro, and Vascular).
- Perform, read, validate and record all biological and chemical sterilization tests and parameters before making equipment available for use.
- Perform and document daily and weekly testing of decontamination and sterilization equipment. Clean, troubleshoot and correctly use CP equipment.
- Work with medical equipment/instrumentation vendors to check-in, prepare, sterilize and check-out requested equipment/instrumentation

Position Summary
The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for a patient on behalf of the medical practice. They are responsible for all aspects of front office duties assigned by a clinic.
