Summary:
Under general supervision, understands and provides technical knowledge and the ability to test, repair and maintain mid-level/complex medical devices. Equipment also includes electronic test equipment and various types of medical equipment. Testing will be done in our facility and will involve staff interaction. Supports and maintains Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) safe Environment of Care.
Responsibilities:
Provide training and mentoring to Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) I staff.Serve as project manager for low complexity projects.Maintains appropriate equipment inventories and equipment sterilization.Thoroughly documents preventive maintenance and equipment repairs into the CMMS system in a timely and consistent manner. Analyzes data and processes for opportunities for improvement. Works in cross departmental teams to identify opportunities for improvement in practice and policy.Writes, reviews, and executes testing procedures on medical devices, ensuring compliance to codes and following manufacturer’s instructions.Repairs and maintains mid-level/complex medical devices by adjusting, calibrating, testing and documenting equipment performance.

Requirements

- Certification in specialty area preferred
- One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. This position serves in the Emergency Department in capacities consistent with their level of training. When working in an emergency department-based role, administrative supervision will be provided by the emergency department nursing leadership team.I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Works in a collaborative fashion as part of the ED care team, including ED physicians, PCAs, Unit Secretaries, and RN staff.
2. Monitors patients for any acute changes and communicates such changes to primary RN or physician.

Provide support around Ambulance Triage including assisting with rapid clinical assessments to identify patients who appear acutely ill or at risk for rapid deterioration, assisting with the offload of ambulance patients as appropriate, and assisting with hourly documented monitoring and assessments/reassessments of patients in collaboration with care team unless conditions warrant more frequent monitoring.
8. Provide support around ED waiting room triage including rapid flow support of patients presenting with cardiac complaints or other high-risk symptoms; acting as the concierge for these patients through their initial assessment and care under the direction of the ED physicians and RNs.
9. Performs a variety of duties involving the transportation of patients throughout the hospital consistent with training. Assists nursing staff in the physical, lateral transfer of patients before and after patient transport.

Reporting to the Manager of Value Based Care Financial Performance, the Sr Value Based Programs Financial Analyst is a key subject matter expert responsible for advanced financial, utilization, and healthcare data analysis supporting value-based programs. The role analyzes claims, financial, clinical, and statistical data to evaluate total medical expense (TME), utilization trends, risk adjustment, cost drivers, and value-based contract performance while ensuring data accuracy. The Sr Financial Analyst develops actionable insights, executive-ready reporting, financial projections, savings/loss analyses, and performance forecasts, and works with actuarial partners to develop, evaluate, and interpret savings/loss projections and financial forecasts supporting value-based programs. - Leads the development and refinement of financial reports, executive summaries, and dashboards to track the performance of value-based programs.
- Reviews and enhances existing reports, procedures, and systems to optimize reporting processes and ensure accuracy.
- Prepares analytic reports to summarize total medical expenses (TME), utilization trends, risk adjustment data, value-based contract performance, and cost drivers to help identify areas for improvement.
- Track performance against financial targets, conduct variance analyses, and recommend actionable solutions.

The manager position will vary in scope and complexity based on the area to which the manager is assigned. In general, the manager will provide supervision of the staff, oversee the medication use process and clinical pharmacy services in their assigned area. Additionally, the manager will provide quality pharmaceutical care defined as being responsible for assuring the provision of safe, efficacious and cost-effective drug therapy for all patients. The manager will utilize integrated and routine communication with all health care professionals as well as patients concerning medication therapy management.Job Duties:
- Performs all pharmacist duties and responsibilities for their practice area.
- Accountable for ensuring that ‘best practice’ standards of clinical care are maintained, patient satisfaction is optimized, and an efficient medication use process and workflow is achieved.
- Evaluates the department’s current pharmacy practice and makes recommendations.
- Oversees and plans for the development of new programs based on need and opportunity.
- Responsible, as first line manager, for addressing and resolving employee and patient issues that arise, seeking advice and counsel, when necessary, from Human Resource or departmental leadership, to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
- Performs all performance management activities for assigned staff.
- Ensures adequate staffing levels, skill mix and assignments to support the appropriate provision of patient care.
- Responsible for staff recruitment and hiring processes in assigned area.
- Accountable for maintaining standards, clinical activities, operational activities, and performance metrics that meet clinical, operational and market needs.
- Identifies and analyzes changes in medication utilization and costs including factors driving change trends.
- Works in conjunction with the pharmacists, physicians, and administrative partners to develop processes or programs to address identified issues with medication utilization.
- Contributes to the development of evidence-based, cost containment and cost saving protocols and therapies.
- Responsible for providing input into staffing and financial budgets for their assigned areas.
- Communicates and ensures the implementation of activities and tools that consistently educate and focus staff on key performance indicators.
- Responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of operational contingency plans in concert with the department leadership team as financial or other conditions warrant.
- Ensures compliance of assigned areas and services with accreditation and both regulatory and corporate compliance standards.
- Develops/revises/audits/maintains department policies and procedures.
