Job Summary
Position responsible for providing leadership to the department – overseeing the daily operations – managing and developing departmental staff, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process, ensuring the delivery of quality care to patients.Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited school of professional nursing requiredordocumented degree plan and timeframe to complete Bachelor of Nursing; For clinical manager positions in Magnet-designated hospitals or hospitals in pursuit of Magnet designation, a minimum of a Bachelors of Nursing is required at the time of hire or promotion
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support
- Professional certification in clinical area or management preferred
- Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Three or more (3+) years experience in clinical area of practice and minimum one (1) year experience in a supervisory or management role
- Clinical Manager II: Additional two (2) years experience (3 years total) in supervisory or management job
Principal Accountabilities
- Manages the daily operations of a patient care department, including forecasting and ensuring adequate staffing, taking departmental call; planning for continuity of care, serving in charge nurse role and providing direct patient care as needed.
- Collaborates with physicians, management team members, business partners, and customers to address strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
- Participates in a systemic, interdisciplinary, and ongoing evaluation of programs, process improvement, desired client-centered outcomes, and organizational outcomes.
- Considers the diverse needs of each patient through the entire continuum of care, providing and ensuring the highest level of service according to established service standards, optimizing the patient experience.
- Ensures adequate scheduling and staffing; recruits, retains, and develops staff; provides performance feedback, addressing issues as necessary, and provides input into staff performance reviews in a timely effective manner.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
- Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.

The Housekeeper is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment.
Job Duties:
- Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing.
- Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.
- Removes waste and transports to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste streams handling (i.e. regulated medical, recycle, solid, and hazardous.
Preferred Requirements:
- 1-2 years of Customer Service, 1-2 years of Hospitality, and/or 1-2 years of Environmental Services experience

Summary:
Responsible for functions associated with inventory control and distribution, maximizing quality, minimizing costs supporting goals within system supply chain objectives. This role will ensure the highest level of customer service, timely delivery and proper handling of medical/surgical supplies, medical equipment, emergency supplies and code carts, in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Accountable for timely reconciliation of patient charges and credits.Responsibilities:
Maintains the integrity, labeling, stocking, and outdating of specialty carts and Pyxis supply cabinets.
Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, while monitoring specific products to assure appropriate levels in order not to affect patient care.
Conducts physical inspections and performs all duties related to par-stock maintenance utilizing computer systems and software. Develops knowledge of medical supplies stocked within the department to include usage in treatment of patients. Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and Supply Chain Management department.
Collects, decontaminates, and processes durable medical equipment for circulation throughout the facility. Assures timely availability of safe patient care equipment.
Accurately receives, picks, packs and stocks inventory materials and supplies to include preparation of procedural trays and carts to designated areas within the facility. Validates the process of perpetual inventory items, issues and credits materials from the inventory management system.
Maintains the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with external and internal customers. Provides the highest level of customer service.
Supports the overall workflow of supply chain inventory and distribution, by analyzing and troubleshooting automation process, Lawson, and handheld devices for functionality and accuracy.
Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory while supporting accurate and established inventory levels. Generates orders/requisitions as needed. Identifies excess inventory and processes returns, when needed, for credit. Reviews and recommends inventory par level adjustments for management approval.
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
Performs scheduled quality assurance checks on various hospital equipment.
Participates in regular inventory for assigned areas.

Overview
The Pharmacy IV Quality Control Coordinator provides operational, analytical, and business support for Sentara. Federal laws, regulations, and programs require the entity to have ongoing oversight of usage to prevent diversion and ensure compliance with regulations and notices. This position conducts, monitors, analyzes, investigates, and completes special projects associated with key medication use metrics. The analyst assists with self-audits, the development of monitoring or operational protocols, and creation of efficient and effective internal controls for key medication use metrics. Responsible for ongoing analysis (in collaboration with departmental leadership) and individual facility performance to goals and expectations. Provides periodic reports of audit findings and proposed corrective action plans to departmental leadership and appropriate committees. Networks effectively both horizontally across multiple disciplines and vertically throughout the leadership hierarchy.

- Conduct weekly cleanroom environmental and compliance audits

Assists in and maintains the organization of inventory in the anesthesia supply room based on established PAR levels maintaining principles of asepsis.
Maintains adequate inventory and works proactively to prevent supply shortages that could impact patient care or daily operations.
Inspects and cleans anesthesia machines, carts, and equipment and supplies with the exception of rubber goods.
Assembles invasive lines (peripheral, arterial, and pulmonary artery) according to policy and procedures, maintaining aseptic technique.
Restocks anesthesia machines and carts based on an established schedule and PAR levels.
Ordering and maintaining stock of anesthesia carts and supplies used in the Operating Room (OR), Endoscopy, and Cath Lab

Assists anesthesia personnel in setting up and operating equipment utilized in determining blood clotting and hemoglobin (ACT).
Assists in various procedures related to auto transfusion including set up and operation of blood salvaging devices.

Facilitates and ensures the coordination of patient care through the continuum.Job Duties:
- Assumes the responsibility for comprehensive oversight and accountability for pharmacy practice, medication use process, and transitions of care for Geisinger patients served within their responsible areas.
- Empowers, motivates, and provides mentorship for other pharmacy leaders and staff.
- Provides guidance to ensure optimized, effective, and patient-centric care is provided across the spectrum of pharmacy services.
- Acts as a role model to staff for engagement and team dynamics.
- Evaluates the department's current pharmacy practice, oversees and plans for the development of new programs, and makes recommendations to leadership based on need and opportunity.
- Provides continuous leadership support of the pharmacy practice model to develop and embed the pharmacist provider and pharmacy technician as an integral part of the health care team.
- Provides oversight, guidance, and participates when needed with respective leadership team in performance management and development activities for staff.
- Oversees staff recruitment and hiring processes.
- Accountable for ensuring the maintenance of standards, clinical activities, operational activities, and performance measurement tools in the areas of clinical efficiency, operational efficiency, quality and patient satisfaction.
- Identifies and analyzes changes in medication utilization and costs including factors driving change trends.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare professionals and administrative partners to develop processes or programs which address identified issues with medication management and utilization.
- Provides oversight and contributes to the development of evidence-based, cost containment and cost saving protocols and medication therapies.
- Assumes overall responsibility for the financial performance of all assigned areas.
- Develops, implements, and achieves budgets and provides input into business plans and financial proformas.
- Utilizes metrics and quality data to monitor revenue/expense, staff productivity, and clinical outcomes, which is reported to Enterprise Pharmacy and System leadership upon request.
- Provides oversight and accountability with the leadership team for establishing, monitoring, communicating to staff, and continuously improving system performance parameters for pharmacy services.
- Ensures compliance of assigned areas and services with accreditation, regulatory and corporate compliance standards in collaboration with the System Director, Operations, and Compliance as well as with the rest of the leadership team which includes the development, revision, and auditing of the departments policies, clinical and operational procedures.
- Ensures accountability in collaboration with pharmacy leadership team for updated and appropriate collaborative practice agreements are in place at all assigned practice areas.
- In reference to Specialty Pharmacy: Provides guidance and is responsible for oversight of the clinical aspects of the Caresite Specialty Patient Management Program.
- Leads and develops the Performance Improvement Program in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Directs corporate compliance activities, including plan development and implementation for Caresite Specialty Rx.
- Ensures compliance with local and federal regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
