In this role, you will provide a range of services to multidisciplinary teams with emphasis on outpatient practices of the UCLA Health-Behavioral Health Associates serving adult, geriatric populations, child and adolescents. Duties include psychosocial assessment; care coordination, consultation to the team, individual, family or group psychotherapeutic treatment; liaison with community agencies; treatment plan documentation; and disposition planning and advocacy. Requires excellent skills in interpersonal communication and documentation, as well as clinical knowledge of individual, family, social and Cultural issues in mental illness.
Please note this position requires traveling between Calabasas & Malibu clinics.
*Position is flexible hybrid with up to 40% remote*
Salary Range: $121,960 - $160,922 Annual
- CA Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or CA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
- 2 years of experience and skill interacting with health care providers in a multidisciplinary setting
- 2 years of experience as a fully licensed, autonomous clinician
- 5+ years of psychotherapy experience in inpatient, outpatient, or group settings with or without license
- Working knowledge of general theoretical and clinical models
- Ability to develop effective rapport and working therapeutic alliances with patients
- Skill in writing clear and complete clinical notes and summaries of clinical evaluations
- Skills and experiences in documenting/charting to ensure current and accurate medical records are entered and documented in patient files in accordance with established Medical Records policies and procedures
- Knowledge of LCSW/LMFT ethics and scope of practice
- Ability to perform a complete mental status exam and recognize changes in mental status
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and mutually respectful relationships with professionals and support staff
- Knowledge of pertinent current community resources, including income maintenance, mental health treatment, special education, residential and vocational supports
- Ability to provide and maintain appropriate coordination of care with existing providers and/or variety of community agencies and demonstrate assertiveness, persistence, and diplomacy as an advocate for the patient

- Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems

Salary Range: $38.54-$50.84/hourly
Required:
- Possess license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification
- Possession of BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Skill to Perform phlebotomy, CPR, Injections, and other skills within scope of practice
- Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures
- Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed
- Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician
- Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems.
- Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments
- Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers
Preferred:
- 6+ months of LVN experience

The Hugo Lab is seeking a Staff Research Associate to support innovative cancer research through the analysis of large scale biological datasets, including RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, multiplex IHC, and imaging data. Working closely with the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will use established R and Python pipelines to analyze data, perform statistical analyses, and contribute to publications and grant proposals.
Required:
- Skill in performing work in an accurate and thorough manner with close attention to details in all areas. Ability to follow through on work assignments.
- Ability to write legibly using correct spelling to record technical lab results and keep accurate and organized records.
- Ability to communicate effectively and with mutual respect with co-workers, and other staff.
- Working knowledge of basic high throughput sequencing-based bulk and single cell RNAseq and spatial transcriptomics using Python or R. Working knowledge of data analysis and interpretation of multiplex immunofluorescence.
- Willingness and ability to work changing hours if necessary.
- Ability to take direction with regard to problems or troubleshooting in the lab
- General laboratory support including procurements, ensuring lab safety compliance, BUA application, IRB application.
- Working knowledge of assisting and training junior undergraduate lab assistants in basic omics and image data analysis to support the lab's overall data analysis projects.
- Working knowledge of recognize out of control situations, and notify proper personnel to remedy situation.
