1st shift hours (0700-1500) with rotating weekends. This position will be in a parking structure or booth.
Pay Range:
$19.80 - $29.70Major Responsibilities:- Conducts regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure the safety and security of the property. Inspects exit doors, offices, storerooms, and departments for security and the absence of fire or other hazards. Monitors and reports suspicious activity on hospital property and surrounding area.
- May be assigned to a stationary post location within the facility to offer a visible deterrent in a designated area for visitor control.
- Assists patients and visitors by providing information and directions in the facility.
- Performs routine lost and found pick-ups as needed.
- Performs foot patrol of various parking lots ensuring adherence to parking policy. May assist in the coordination and monitoring of Contracted Security, specific to parking.
- Facilitates the issuance of police citations and/or towing services as needed. Issues necessary parking violations notices as required. Maintains database of violations on a 12-month sliding scale.
- Ensures traffic control, monitors conduct of visitors on premises and reports safety hazards and security vulnerabilities to LPS Sergeant.
- In extreme cases of need, the security aide may be required to perform a medical standby in cases that do not rise to the level of needing a security officer.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- A valid drivers license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in public contact.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment and sound reasoning while maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor in dealing with employees, visitors and patients.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including off-shifts, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to walk and stand 90% of the shift.
- Ability to withstand exposure to seasonal climate and appropriately dress for conditions.
- Must have functional use of speech, vision, and hearing along with the manual dexterity to write parking citations, take notes, etc., while standing or walking.
- Potential for exposure to vehicle fumes on occasion.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
- Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
- Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
- Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
- Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.

Minimum Job RequirementsÂ
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / LicenseÂ
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.Â
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing servicesÂ

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.

Step into our dynamic Throughput Unit and unleash your observation nursing skills. With just 10 beds, this unit offers a diverse array of patients with various diagnoses. From direct admissions from medical offices, hospitals, and clinics across the organization to pre-surgery patients awaiting their procedures and even those in recovery, our scope is broad and ever-evolving.
Major Responsibilities:
- Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
- Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
- Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
- Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.

Summary:
Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with registering patient for inpatient and outpatient services.
Responsibilities:
Performs general clerical duties including assisting with the front/back desk as well as scheduling appointments. Assist with signing up patients/Proxy with MyChart activations and Telehealth visits.

Meets with surgical/procedural patient or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides explanation of process, pre-procedure instructions, and addresses concerns and questions. Schedule patient/family surgical conferences.
Round with patients in practice to ensure Excellent Patient Experience is met. Follow-up on reported issues and assist with service recovery.
Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.

$24.10 - $36.15Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.
- Assists the physician/provider with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers medications, under physician/provider orders, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins, topical agents, and insulin. With limitations, initiates, maintains and discontinues IV therapy; administering selected fluids with pre-mixed medications.
- Provides basic patient education on the performance of tasks, skills, treatment and self-care. Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, prescription refills, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. Refers questions to registered nurses and physicians/providers per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.
- Communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents and communicates accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.
- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Participates in patient centered initiatives, care management, performance and quality improvement activities.

Summary:
The Social Work Manager ensures the provision of social work services by managing the daily operations of Social Workers including community resource planning and clinical interventions. The Manager provides clinical supervision and leadership of Social Workers as they provide the highest quality of family centered care to patients and families. Responsibilities:
Ensures staff adherence to policies and procedures by Social Workers within the department by providing support through guidance and/or coaching, when appropriate, of new and existing program initiatives within the Memorial Healthcare System.Completes administrative role through timely completion of budgeting, internal department audits, employee attendance, payroll related tasks, attending management planning meetings, coordination of staff schedules and assignment of staff to hospital areas with coverage needs.Supports Social Workers serving as interpreters of medical information for families while collaborating with physician, nursing and ancillary staff by attending planned family conferences, and meeting with medical team to review clinical impressions as needed.Relies on quality improvement process to identify improvement opportunities to evaluate programs/service outcomes and implements changes in policy and procedures that impact patient care throughout the Social Work department.Provides clinical supervision to Social Work staff through review of patient plan of care and evidence-based interventions addressing mental health and that help meet performance expectations, offer best clinical outcomes and empower patient and families admitted to hospital.Assists in the development and implementation of performance evaluations and improvement initiatives for Social Workers within the department to promote clinical competence and offer best care options when interacting with patients, families and medical team.Initiates and maintains ongoing collaboration with state protection agencies including Department of Children and Family, and law enforcement to ensure safety and protection of children and vulnerable populations such as elderly and children with special health care needs who have been exposed to trauma, maltreatment (abuse, neglect, exploitation, human trafficking, sexual assault, death and dying issues).Completes outreach with community providers and coordinates education of resources from community providers to staff within the Social Work department to ensure information is disseminated by Social Workers engaged in services with families in need of assistance.Develops, implements, reports, and follows up on social service initiatives. Coordinates resources and work assignments to meet Social Work performance targets and departmental customer services expectations in a cost-effective manner. Major Responsibilities:
- Evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute, critical and chronic patients illness and diseases within both an outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital setting.

- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.Â
