$22.90 - $36.15Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.
- Assists the physician/provider with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers medications, under physician/provider orders, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins, topical agents, and insulin. With limitations, initiates, maintains and discontinues IV therapy; administering selected fluids with pre-mixed medications.
- Provides basic patient education on the performance of tasks, skills, treatment and self-care. Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, prescription refills, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. Refers questions to registered nurses and physicians/providers per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.
- Communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents and communicates accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.
- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Participates in patient centered initiatives, care management, performance and quality improvement activities.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education Required:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
Experience Required:
- No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff and physicians.
- Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.
- Must be able to:
- lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
- lift up to 20 lbs over the head.
- carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to:
- push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
- perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
- Will be exposed to the following hazards on a frequent basis: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids. Will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.
- Operates all equipment essential to perform the job.

Registered Nurse – Full-Time (80 hours per pay period) | Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm | Bronson Cancer Center – KalamazooUnder general supervision and in accordance with the policies, procedures and guidelines established within the organization, the unit, and the Michigan Public Health Code, the registered nurse manages the care delivery for patients in the organization throughout the length of stay to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge by the following: utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation and evaluation; coordinating the care provided by other professionals; delegating selected acts, tasks or functions that fall within the scope of professional nursing practice and the abilities of patient care assistants and universal service assistants; providing selected aspects of physical care within the scope of professional nursing practice as appropriate given the patient's level of acuity and complexity of care required; and documenting and communicating during each tour of duty the patient's response to care provided, consumption of resources and anticipated needs. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Associate's degree in Nursing required

As of December 29, 2013, any nurse hired by Bronson who does not hold a BSN (or higher nursing degree) will be given 8 years from date of hire date to obtain. If, after 8 years, the nurse has not met this requirement, employment will be terminated.
BLS certification required by completion of core orientation
Critical care or ALS as well as other certifications may be required for some RNs, unit specific
Bronson South Haven Specific- Effective July 1, 2017 all new hires are expected to successfully obtain their BSN within 8 years of hire date.
Bronson South Haven Specific:
Emergency Department: SALT triage, ESI Triage, and NIH Stroke Scale to be completed within 90 days of hire date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC only required for FT and part -time nurses) within 6 months of hire date. Special Care Unit: All nurses in department will need to have Pediatric Advance Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
RNs in Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby/Antepartum at BMH & BBC Specific:
The Fetal Monitoring Credential (FMC) is required within 6 months of completing the AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring course; completion of the National Certification Corporation (NCC) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) board certification is alternatively preferred, though not required.
Current driver's license in the state of Michigan and proof of insurance required for BAH

Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time. Involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.

• The registered nurse collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patients’ health or the situation.

The RN is responsible for completing the Workday CBL –“Swing beds”. This is an annual CBL that describes the difference in a swing bed patient versus an in-patient or observation patient. Virtual Registered Nurse (VRN) Role: The virtual registered nurse leverages technology to deliver patient care remotely, collaborating with bedside staff and the broader care team to ensure quality outcomes and timely discharge. Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Conducting admission screening, patient/family education, discharge planning, and medication dual acknowledgments via secure digital platforms.

POSITION PURPOSE

Summary:
Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Maintains MRI Safety in accordance with safety recommendations outlined by the American College of Radiology and hospital policy.Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes acquisition parameters and resulting sequences and identifies issues with the quality of images. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and/or repeating images/sequences in conjunction with interpreting physicians and standard protocols.When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Aurora Orthopedics, located at the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center physician office campus, provides comprehensive orthopedic oncology services for treating primary bone sarcomas, soft tissue sarcomas, and metastatic bone cancer. Treatments are integrated with the broader oncology services at Aurora St. Luke's, incorporating tumor resection, limb salvage surgery, and coordinated care with specialized oncology nurse navigators.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical RN experience is preferred.
What You’ll Do:
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/week, 1st shift, Monday-Friday during core clinic hours between 7:30am-5pm. Position will primarily be based at the St. Luke’s location with coverage possibly 2x per month at Mt. Pleasant, and occasionally Grafton.
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Summary:
Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with registering patient for inpatient and outpatient services.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing physician calendars.
Builds critically important relationships with physicians, OR staff, as well as insurance representatives in order to help facilitate all scheduling duties.

Performs general clerical duties including assisting with the front/back desk as well as scheduling appointments. Assist with signing up patients/Proxy with MyChart activations and Telehealth visits.
Work Department incoming referral work queue daily. Assist patients with appointments in other specialist offices as requested/referred by our physicians.

Registered Nurse Chemotherapy Infusion –Part time (64 hours per pay period) | Monday–Friday| Bronson Cancer Center – KalamazooUnder general supervision and in accordance with the policies, procedures and guidelines established within the organization, the unit, and the Michigan Public Health Code, the registered nurse manages the care delivery for patients in the organization throughout the length of stay to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge by the following: utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation and evaluation; coordinating the care provided by other professionals; delegating selected acts, tasks or functions that fall within the scope of professional nursing practice and the abilities of patient care assistants and universal service assistants; providing selected aspects of physical care within the scope of professional nursing practice as appropriate given the patient's level of acuity and complexity of care required; and documenting and communicating during each tour of duty the patient's response to care provided, consumption of resources and anticipated needs. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Associate's degree in Nursing required

Bronson South Haven Specific- Effective July 1, 2017 all new hires are expected to successfully obtain their BSN within 8 years of hire date.
Bronson South Haven Specific:
Emergency Department: SALT triage, ESI Triage, and NIH Stroke Scale to be completed within 90 days of hire date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC only required for FT and part -time nurses) within 6 months of hire date. Special Care Unit: All nurses in department will need to have Pediatric Advance Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
RNs in Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby/Antepartum at BMH & BBC Specific: The Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification through PQF or NCC is required within 6 months of completing intermediate fetal monitoring
Current driver's license in the state of Michigan and proof of insurance required for BAH
