Where You Will Work:
The Same Day Surgery department located on the 2nd floor OR surgery services area, serves surgical patients pre and post operatively with 23 flexible beds. The department operates varying shifts from early morning to evening, with employees working 4 out of 6 observed holidays annually and no weekend rotations. Scheduling is self-managed, planned 4 to 8 weeks ahead, including assigned rotating Friday evenings and holidays. Orientation lasts 6-8 weeks for RNs. The culture is fast-paced with strong teamwork and supportive leadership emphasizing engagement and recognition.
We’re Looking For:Â
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursingÂ
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practicesÂ
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart AssociationÂ
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or within 6 months of hire Â
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or within 6 months of hire.Â

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, twisting, and lifting throughout the workday. Must safely lift up to 35 pounds and perform patient handling tasks, including pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds and assisting with 150-pound sliding transfers. Requires functional speech, vision, hearing, touch, and fine motor skills for clinical procedures, as well as the ability to operate equipment foot controls. Must be able to respond quickly to changing patient conditions and perform patient safety interventions, including verbal de-escalation and restraints when necessary. Exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, and hazardous waste may occur; appropriate protective equipment must be used. Physical Abilities Testing and additional department-specific requirements may apply.

Minimum Job RequirementsÂ
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.Â
Certification / Registration / LicenseÂ

- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing servicesÂ

Responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments and coordinating cancellations, reschedules, and additions to schedules. Obtains demographic and insurance information and verifies insurance coverage. Ensures insurance and patient information obtained is complete and accurate, updating information if necessary, applying acquired knowledge of government and third-party payer requirements. Â
Completes all essential forms, obtains necessary information, such as patient demographic and insurance information. Verifies and updates the medical record with patient information. Â
Identifies emergent calls based on information provided by caller and department procedures. Follows the process for immediate transfer to Registered Nurse for triaging. Responsible for competency in and adherence to guidelines for emergency situations and critical call handling. Â
Determines the needs of patients calling the call center which results in routing patients for triage, scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments, submitting medication refill requests for evaluation, and paging providers and facilities as appropriate. Â
Provides customer service per established departmental standards as measured by patients on post call survey. Asks clarifying questions, presents options or solutions, and understands the level of complexity of the call, escalating only those situations necessary for resolution. Â
Assists with organizational marketing efforts by providing associated information and referral to customer, while maintaining appropriate records for documentation. Conducts regular reporting and updating of the provider and marketing databases. Â
Performs additional duties based on department needs. Â

Major Responsibilities:

Where You Will Work:
CICU 8S 24-bed high acuity unit on the 8th floor of the Garden Tower of Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. CICU cares for critically ill cardiac/interventional cardiac patients, including diagnoses of acute MI, cardiogenic shock, dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure, pre-heart transplant, complex pre and post stent, valvuloplasty, TAVR, as well complex medical patients.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Strong interest and passion for cardiac care

- Manage Advocate Health preferred drug list (chemotherapy/immunotherapy/supportive drugs) with payors and correlate changes with oncology pharmacy.
- Manage Advocate Health drug formulary changes with authorization updates with payors.
- Review laboratory panels for Bone Marrow Biopsies to authorize Molecular Lab Studies, diagnosis specific.
- Review and address monthly denials for Chemotherapy Drugs, Molecular Labs and surgeries with payors and Advocate Health Denial Management Teams (HBO/PBO).

Registered Nurse Chemotherapy Infusion –Part time (52 hours per pay period) | Monday–Friday| Bronson Cancer Center – KalamazooUnder general supervision and in accordance with the policies, procedures and guidelines established within the organization, the unit, and the Michigan Public Health Code, the registered nurse manages the care delivery for patients in the organization throughout the length of stay to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge by the following: utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation and evaluation; coordinating the care provided by other professionals; delegating selected acts, tasks or functions that fall within the scope of professional nursing practice and the abilities of patient care assistants and universal service assistants; providing selected aspects of physical care within the scope of professional nursing practice as appropriate given the patient's level of acuity and complexity of care required; and documenting and communicating during each tour of duty the patient's response to care provided, consumption of resources and anticipated needs. The RN is responsible for completing the Workday CBL –“Swing beds”. This is an annual CBL that describes the difference in a swing bed patient versus an in-patient or observation patient. The RN will understand the documentation differences and the specific care required for each individual swing bed patient.
Bronson South Haven Hospital and Bronson Lakeview Hospital employees who are approved to work in a Swing Bed Facility only: Employees may be expected to cover shifts at Bronson Lakeview Hospital and/or Bronson South Haven Hospital depending on patient acuity and staffing needs.
Virtual Registered Nurse (VRN) Role: The virtual registered nurse leverages technology to deliver patient care remotely, collaborating with bedside staff and the broader care team to ensure quality outcomes and timely discharge. Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Conducting admission screening, patient/family education, discharge planning, and medication dual acknowledgments via secure digital platforms.
- Completing diagnostic testing questionnaires and supporting patient safety initiatives.
- Mentoring and supporting nursing staff and facilitating patient progression toward discharge using electronic health record (EHR) tools such as checklists and clinical pathways.

Aurora Orthopedics, located at the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center physician office campus, provides comprehensive orthopedic oncology services for treating primary bone sarcomas, soft tissue sarcomas, and metastatic bone cancer. Treatments are integrated with the broader oncology services at Aurora St. Luke's, incorporating tumor resection, limb salvage surgery, and coordinated care with specialized oncology nurse navigators.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical RN experience is preferred.
What You’ll Do:
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/week, 1st shift, Monday-Friday during core clinic hours between 7:30am-5pm. Position will primarily be based at the St. Luke’s location with coverage possibly 2x per month at Mt. Pleasant, and occasionally Grafton.
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Summary:
Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with registering patient for inpatient and outpatient services.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing physician calendars.
Builds critically important relationships with physicians, OR staff, as well as insurance representatives in order to help facilitate all scheduling duties.
Communicates with referring physician's office, clinical department(s), and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and coordinate surgical/procedural/diagnostic testing and DME as appropriate. Assists in completing surgical orders as directed by department. Routes as appropriate.
Reviews patient charts to ensure imaging is available and all pertinent information to maximize appointment.
Meets with surgical/procedural patient or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides explanation of process, pre-procedure instructions, and addresses concerns and questions. Schedule patient/family surgical conferences.
Round with patients in practice to ensure Excellent Patient Experience is met. Follow-up on reported issues and assist with service recovery.
Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.
Performs general clerical duties including assisting with the front/back desk as well as scheduling appointments. Assist with signing up patients/Proxy with MyChart activations and Telehealth visits.
Work Department incoming referral work queue daily. Assist patients with appointments in other specialist offices as requested/referred by our physicians.
