Our 41-bed Medical Surgical Unit cares for a diverse patient population, providing nurses with the opportunity to build and strengthen their clinical expertise across multiple specialties. The unit primarily serves orthopedic, urological, bariatric, and general surgical patients, while also caring for some medical and telemetry patients.

What You’ll Do:

- Transports patients between departments and escorts patients, families, and visitors as needed.
- Uses radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain pertinent patient information.
- Assists patient in preparation for exam and transferring patients to and from exam rooms. Provides basic instruction to patients regarding routine procedures, i.e. changing clothes, position for exams, etc.
- Organizes and prepares exam rooms and work areas, including cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Greets patients and visitors and responds to routine requests for information, reports or film loans. Promptly answers telephone, screens calls, schedules patient appointments, and takes messages.
- Acts as a liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
- Provides radiology reports and/or radiographic images to staff, physicians, patients and/or family upon request. Files, retrieves, and releases health information records and films. Compiles film jackets/discs and completes required forms/documentation.
- Documents requested information and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of the patient with physicians and other members of the health care team.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Assists with the screening and documentation of MRI implants based on department need.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.

$33.05 - $49.60Major Responsibilities:- Competently operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures. Procedures include basic imaging processing, body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, contrast, orthopedic and extremity.
- Obtains medical history from patients and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
- Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors, adjusts factors to attain the appropriate images, and provides radiation protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist, and assists in the proper scanning techniques. Provides measurements and additional slices for accurate interpretation with direction from the Radiologist.

- Help Facilitate Internal Aurora Transfers telephonically
- Help Facilitate Non-Aurora Transfers telephonically, assessing documentation, MD triage, taking and entering orders
- Will perform Tele Intake (telephonic or Video) assessments for patients in the ER that have a Behavioral Health Consult. Triage with appropriate on Call MD, along with taking and entering orders.
- Take Triage calls telephonically for patients looking for inpatient to see if medical clearance is needed prior to the patient arriving to the hospital for an assessment.

As an Exercise Physiologist, you will support critically ill patients through mobility progression, exercise interventions, patient education, and collaborative care planning, helping patients regain strength, endurance, and independence throughout their inpatient recovery journey.
Job Description:
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of cardiac patients through all phases of rehabilitation, (which includes inpatient and outpatient) upon the referral of the physician.
Major Responsibilities:
- Interprets physiological data from stress tests for determination of individualized exercise prescription. Plans and implements treatment programs based upon patient evaluation. Modifies exercise prescription based on cardiac symptomatology, signs and symptoms of exercise intolerance, or musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and/or accessory medical problems.
- Works with physicians to determine program eligibility, progress, and timing of progression to unmonitored home program or Phase III participation.
- Establishes and presents a coordinated health education program for patients on exercise and risk factor reduction. Participates in family and patient conferences as necessary and works closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, physician assistants, and medical staff regarding patient physical status and rehabilitation program.
- Promotes referral to rehabilitation program by developing a sound working relationship with referral sources - physicians and nurses.
- Places electrodes on patient for various cardiac monitors and tests.
- Counsels patient in home activity and exercise programs and purchase of exercise equipment.
- Assists in the resolution of cardiac emergencies or symptoms of exercise intolerance. Assists the in-program planning and implementation.
- May serve as a mentor for staff working for certification by American College of Sports Medicine in Exercise Technologist or Specialist category. Serves as a hospital consultant in area of exercise physiology. Participates in appropriate professional organizations for personal development.
- Assists in monitoring outpatient cardiac rehabilitation exercise groups.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.

Where You Will Work:
9ST is a 48 bed Adult Moderate Acuity Cardiovascular Surgical unit. Working closely with the CVICU, we provide care to those patients needing specialty services before and after their heart surgery, heart transplant and/or ventricular assist device (VAD). Orientation to our unit is completed in two phases. Phase one focuses on the care of the cardiac surgical patient with phase 2 centering on the more complex needs of the heart transplant, ultrafiltration or VAD patient. Ensuring that our patients always receive care from the most professionally trained nurse we. 9ST is proud of our quality and patient satisfaction scores. The Bronson Children’s Hospital incorporates art, music and pet therapy into our model of care.
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU): On this 8-bed pediatric critical care unit, children receive care for a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. The unit has all of the critical care therapies except ECMO. The PICU does not perform cardiac surgery or transplant surgeries.
- Extended Medical Care Unit (EMCU): Care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions requiring extended hospitalizations. This unit offers the unique opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships and see the impact of your care throughout the recovery process.

The Fetal Monitoring Credential (FMC) is required within 6 months of completing the AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring course; completion of the National Certification Corporation (NCC) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) board certification is alternatively preferred, though not required.

3CD is a 23 bed post-op surgical unit with 15 beds for Tele Patients. 75% of patients are admitted from PACU or as stepdown from Surgical ICU. This is a fast-paced, high acuity surgical unit specializing in Gastroenterology, Urology, Gynecology, and Plastic Surgery populations. This is a great unit for experienced Med-Surg nurses seeking to advance their skills and grow in their practice. It is also a great foundational unit for new graduate nurses who seek to eventually develop into more advanced clinical settings, such as ICU, ED, OR, and NP. As an Associate Director of Rehabilitation, you can bring your experience and passion for health care to our Rehab teams. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Associate Director of and Rehabilitation to join our team (40 hrs/week, Monday-Friday) at Ogallala Community Hospital. Ogallala Community Hospital combines tradition and technology in the charming small town of Ogallala, Nebraska. This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a rehabilitation department(s)/area in the achievement of balanced initiatives and delivery of excellent patient care. This includes accountability for planning, directing, and monitoring operational, programmatic and patient outcomes. The incumbent will be responsible for evaluations, recruitment, retention and disciplinary actions as needed with consultation from the Director as needed. Incumbent will be responsible for developing the budget while executing financial acumen and problem solving/plan of actions relating to that budget. Outstanding communication, problem solving, change management and relationship skills are required to influence employee engagement, resource utilization and patients and physician satisfaction. Incumbent must inspire employees to achieve personal and professional goals and objectives. The position is responsible for role modeling service excellence in all interactions and leading a culture of recognition and celebration.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides leadership and direction to the rehabilitation staff to continuously improve clinical, financial and service outcomes. Develops performance goals and objectives for the department consistent with those of the facility and the organization’s overall strategic plan. Monitors and analyzes the results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Assures the successful achievement of balanced initiatives by effectively "connecting the dots" and promoting staff participation and shared leadership involvement. Utilizes data to support process improvement initiatives.
2. Oversees and Manages the daily operations of the department. Participates in developing, monitoring and revising department policies and procedures consistent with current standards of practice. Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, revising program specific guidelines essential to the achievement of department initiatives. Assesses and maintains a staffing plan that efficiently and effectively utilizes the appropriate resources ensuring competency, skill mix and adequate number of staff. Responsible for promoting staff participation in Gallup Q12 and achieving department impact goals.
3. Recruits and selects "best fit" competent, talented and self-directed employees. Ensures thorough orientation and training of all clinical and non-clinical staff in assigned work areas. Utilizes performance recognition program to coach employees on accountability, performance and service standards. Provides timely and meaningful performance assessments and co-created action plans that promote personal and professional development.
4. Facilitates and provides patient centered interdisciplinary care. Ensures clinical and age specific competency of staff. Promotes clinical excellence by monitoring objectives and outcomes of preceptor program. Maintains own clinical awareness and competencies as required by the department in order to assure competency of staff and mentor staff to improve clinical performance and problem-solving skills.
5. Investigates and initiates the resolution of patient and /or physician complaints. Responsible for patient rounding and data collection to enhance patient satisfaction. Investigates and develops new and renewed processes that produce an improved level of service. Role models behaviors consistent with Banners service standard initiatives.
6. Develops and achieves department annual budget. Monitors financial performance reports and makes staffing and operational adjustments to meet performance targets. Accountable for monitoring and achieving individual employee and department productivity targets. Identifies and makes recommendations for equipment needs, including capital equipment. Provides leadership to the adherence of JCAHO and other regulatory agency standards.
7. Seeks out opportunities to build relationships with physicians, hospital and facility peers, and other people resources who can contribute to the success of department's initiatives. Identifies opportunities to improve service delivery and/or program growth.
8. This position has responsibility for managing their assigned rehabilitation department, to include complete budgetary and operational responsibility for their cost center(s). Internal customers include all levels of management and staff, medical staff, and other health care members for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care, ensuring effective communication systems and facilitating decision making in clinical practice issues. External customers include patients and family members, physicians and their office staff, insurance companies, vendors and other healthcare professionals, community/professional organizations, JCAHO and other regulatory agency representatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational, Physical, Audiology or Speech Language Pathology
Must a hold a current license or certification in their respective discipline. BLS certification required.
Must have a working knowledge of hospital operations, medical/nursing staff procedures, hospital and community resources as typically achieved through three years of technical experience and two years of managerial experience. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, complex problem solving skills and the ability to direct, monitor, evaluate and plan processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of four years of clinical experience, two years related to the patient population and scope of practice is preferred.
