Summary:
Transports patients, and equipment throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Delivers equipment to requesting staff or department. Assists staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.Assists staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients when needed.Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors, and other equipment.Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.

Summary:
The entry level Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Follows established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice.
* 5 days per week
- Every other weekend required.
Responsibilities:
May instruct and observe student technologists.Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff.Serves as Charge Technologist.Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols.Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.Assesses competency of team members.Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures.Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment. The Patient Financial Services Representative (PFSR) serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and guarantors in the hospital, ambulatory or medical office setting. The PFSR engages with the patient or guarantor to obtain pertinent information and answer any questions in an effort to ensure that all required demographic, financial, and insurance eligibility information is gathered and verified. Ensures all required notices and consent forms are signed accordingly.

Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.Communicates with physician's and their staff, nursing unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information.Determines and accepts required payments, including but not limited to co-pays and deductibles.Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered with timeliness and accuracy.

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering/documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e., chief complaint, allergies, and/or medications). - Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, pre-approved care algorithms, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. (physical, occupational, and speech therapists). We are looking for compassionate nurses to join our team that help can encourage and educate our patients to self-manage and prepare them for a smooth transition to their home setting and the community.

- Proficiently operates ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac procedures/studies. Accurately differentiates between normal and pathologic findings.
- Reviews patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information including patient history, lab results, and physician orders, obtains necessary clinical information from patients, and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
- Positions patient and selects proper transducer and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures. Adjusts factors to attain the appropriate images. Ensures safety, mental and physical comfort of patient.
- Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
- Accurately identifies and labels images identifying patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and location or position of scan on all images.
- Maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
- Identifies equipment performance issues, communicates to appropriate staff, and evaluates new products and equipment for possible future use.
- Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician.

- Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- May be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
Note: Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth/telenursing/virtual modalities are required to be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located. Experience

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

Summary:
The RN Case Manager coordinates the care and service of patient populations from admission through discharge. The RN Case Manager, collaboratively with inter-disciplinary teams, works to build a comprehensive case management plan through effective care coordination and utilization of healthcare resources to achieve desired clinical and financial goals. Consults with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams regularly to evaluate the patient's status and appropriateness of medical care, including admission, length of stay (LOS), transfer, and discharge.Performs ongoing chart review to identify actual or potential issues, which may include service delivery, patient outcomes, satisfaction, compliance, cost, and reimbursement.Actively coordinates progress and the patient’s care by monitoring the length of stay (LOS) of the patient’s hospitalization, leads and facilitates rounds, and proactively works to meet expected length of stay and clinical targets/indicators.Monitors patient and family satisfaction. Responds to questions and complaints from patients, family members, and payers regarding care.Performs duties in a manner that promotes quality patient care/satisfaction, while promoting safety, cost efficiency, and a commitment to the continuous quality improvement process.Addresses system-level issues impeding diagnostic or treatment progress with the healthcare team and reports unresolved opportunities for improvement through the organizational defined escalation process (chain-of-command structure).
