RUSH Kids Pediatric Therapy is seeking a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our fun, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team!
We evaluate and treat a variety of pediatric patients with diagnoses ranging from developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing, feeding disorders, speech and language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation, and phonological disorders.
Our therapeutic approach focuses on multidisciplinary collaboration and development of each clinician's expertise and areas of passion. We have an individualized 1:1 treatment approach to pediatric therapy and value family centered care.

Responsibilities:
Build Relationships: Provide quality patient care while maintaining a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
Collaborative Approach: Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services
Personalized Treatment: Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs to maximize outcomes. Provide ongoing evaluation of your patients’ status and goals.
Qualifications:
Meet American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) minimum standards for initiation Clinical Fellowship Year including but not limited to 36 credit hours in prescribed study.
State SLP licensure and ASHA certification is required.
300 hours in prescribed clinical practicum experience required.

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides comprehensive speech and language services to students at Oak Hill School. The SLP conducts assessments, sets goals, provides faculty and parent training, group and co-treatment speech and language therapy sessions documentation and reporting.
Job Objective/Purpose
Assess students and develop appropriate, meaningful goals and objectives that support total communication. Comply with all duties and responsibilities of an SLPA as outlined by the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board of California.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Monitor implementation of speech and language IEP goals and objectives
* Attend team meetings, IEPs, staff collaborations and trainings
* Collaborate with staff and parents on speech-language practices and programs
* Provide individual, group and co-treatment therapy to students
* Administer informal and formalized assessment(s) to students
* Compile speech and language data on students and provide monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports to appropriate parties
* Complete student service logs on a weekly basis and write session notes in a timely manner
* Ensure that appropriate speech and language materials and programs are purchased to implement all speech and language goals and objectives
* Provide speech and language consultation to families and staff members
* Work with student who have behavior challenges and run Behavior Intervention Plan with fidelity
* Meet with Director of School Programs on an ongoing basis to monitor and evaluate SLPA’s roles and responsibilities, including allocation of hours as per employee agreement
Qualifications
* California Speech and Language license with Certificate of Clinical Competence
* Strongly prefer experience working with students on the autism spectrum and the ability to work with minimal supervision and structure sessions appropriately
* Familiarity with development relationship-based interventions
* Effective written and oral communication skills, including giving and receiving feedback from school partners
* Patience and perseverance partnered with a creative therapeutic approach, open to learning new strategies

Physical Requirements
Working and engaging/playing with students at Oak Hill School require a considerable amount of strength and physical movement. Employees must be able to perform the following movement functions as needed:
Regularly
* Sitting - Resting position in which the body weight is supported primarily by the buttoks in contact with teh ground or a horizontal object such as a chair seat.
* Exert - up to 20 lbs. of force to move objects or equipment and to work/play with students.
* Motor Skills - Picking, pinching or otherwise working primarily with fingers as in handling, typing or writing.

* Standing - Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
* Walking/Running - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances for community outings or moving from one classroom/office to another. Running is required for potential emergency situations.

*Important: *An Oak Hill School student may exhibit behaviors such as aggression (e.g. biting, kicking, hitting), property destruction, self-injurious behavior, screaming, etc. Due to the potential safety risk for staff and students associated with working with those who may engage in behaviors of concern, all staff are required to be certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) to handle potentially dangerous situations and work to prevent crisis situations and/or hazards associated with those who engage in behaviors that pose a safety risk. Staff will not be allowed to perform Nonviolent Physical Crisis Intervention or any type of physical management unless they have received the initial CPI training/certification through Oak Hill School.
The CPI program is a safe, non-harmful behavior management system designed to aid staff members in maintaining the best possible Care, Welfare, Safety and Security for agitated or our of control individuals even during their most violent moments. In the event that a student requires physical management because he/she poses a serious imminent safety risk to him/herself and/or others, Nonviolent Physical Crisis Intervention will be used as a last resort.

Responsibilities
Complies with facility policies and procedures for appropriately documenting, billing and coding for residents receiving speech language pathology and audiology services.
Provides resident information needed for the resident assessment instrument according to facility policy such as signs and symptoms of swallowing disorders, speech and hearing patterns, cognitive patterns, Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIMS), speech language pathology and audiology minutes and distinct calendar days, etc. during the defined observation period(s).
Provides resident information needed for prior functioning in functional cognition as required by facility policy (RAI User’s Manual) for Medicare Part A, Medicare Advantage residents upon admission.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in Speech Language Pathology
A valid, unrestricted license in his/her therapy discipline in the state.
Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

We are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support preschool-aged children through direct therapy, classroom-based intervention, assessment, consultation, and collaboration with our interdisciplinary teams.
*Position Summary*
The Speech-Language Pathologist supports children’s communication development within an inclusive preschool setting. This position provides individual, group, and classroom-based services while working closely with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families.
The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of early childhood development, inclusive practices, and evidence-based speech and language interventions, along with a collaborative and child-centered approach.
*Schedule*
This is a *40% part-time position*, equivalent to approximately *15 hours per week* based on Jowonio’s 37.5-hour full-time schedule. The specific weekly schedule will be established based on program needs and candidate availability.
*What You’ll Do*
* Assess children’s speech, language, and functional communication skills using developmentally appropriate approaches.
* Provide individual and group therapy in classrooms and designated therapy spaces.
* Lead and participate in small- and large-group classroom activities that promote communication development.
* Embed speech and language interventions into classroom routines, play, and natural learning opportunities.
* Develop language-based activities and practical strategies for teachers and classroom teams to implement throughout the school day.
* Collaborate regularly with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families regarding children’s communication needs, goals, and progress.
* Model effective communication strategies that can be used across school and home environments.
* Support children who use augmentative and alternative communication systems or other assistive technologies.
* Participate as a member of evaluation teams and contribute to supplemental evaluations as assigned.

The Ulster BOCES Center for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) Student-Based Programs is seeking an Education of Speech & Hearing Handicapped Teacher for a full-time, 10-month position for the 2026-2027 school year. Experience working with special needs children and Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred. Appropriate NYS certification and fingerprinting required.
Ulster BOCES provides programs for students ages five through twenty-one who are identified as needing specialized programs and/or supports according to their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Special Education programs are offered at Ulster BOCES sites in Port Ewen, NY and in leased classrooms in component school districts. They have been developed and offered to meet the specific needs of our students in order to assist them in realizing their potential to achieve both academically and socially.
The following programs are available in Special Class configurations of 12:1:1, 8:1:1, 8:1:2, 6:1:2 and 4:1:2. All classes are staffed by a full-time Special Education teacher and either one or two teaching assistants (additional supplementary 1:1 aides may be requested for individual students as per Committee on Special Education recommendations). Multiple programs are available.

An Early Supports and Services *Speech Language Pathologist* is a member of our evaluation team that provides services, resources, and coaching for families in their homes or in the community. Our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team supports a family’s capacity to enhance growth and development for their child aged 0 to 3 years.
*This is a full-time position with flexible hours and a $2000.00 Sign on Bonus!!*

*POSITION DESCRIPTION:* To provide direct patient care and support activities which build and maintain the outstanding outcomes of the therapy department*.*
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within each patient’s structural or functional limitations; including, but not limited to: evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families, physicians and other interdisciplinary team members, documents services in the medical records. Contributes to professional development of self and others. Enhances interdisciplinary team through professional skills and knowledge. Demonstrates safe working practices.
*Provides patient treatments, which meet patient needs, and uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with facility clinical procedures. *This includes but is not limited to:
Performing accurate, comprehensive evaluations.
Developing effective plan of treatment and obtaining appropriate approvals from referring physician.
Utilizing appropriate evaluation tools and completing accurate evaluations.
Communicating with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
Instructing patients’ families or nursing staff in specified follow through programs.
Interviewing patients and families regarding previous level of functioning and life style and current and future expectations.
Demonstrating knowledge of appropriate resources for problem-solving and clinical best practice.
Evaluating patients within facility-specific time frame.
Supervising Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and patient related activities.
*Writes accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements. *This includes but is not limited to:
* Recording Resident Needs Reviews, evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility procedures.
* Recording treatment charges and insuring that documentation is consistent with billing data.
* Writing specific, objective documentation, which is outcome oriented and details the patient’s needs, potential to benefit from treatment, and progress achieved to date. Includes specific, objective measurable goals.
* Managing Medicare Medical Review and Denials process in conjunction with Director of Rehabilitation, the facility team, and therapy staff.
* Acquiring and documenting consents/approvals for treatment when necessary.
*Consistently demonstrates facility’s interdisciplinary approach to patient care. *This includes but is not limited to:
* Integrating findings of other members of the interdisciplinary team in treatment assessment and recommendations.
* Integrating input from patient and family in treatment assessment and recommendations.
* Preparing for and providing meaningful contributions to the rehab team conferences, patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, family conferences, and caregiver training sessions.
* Collaborating with and informing facility staff in areas of patient progress.
* Educating members of the team in areas of expertise.
* Working with facility to teach documentation practices, which assist the therapy team.
* Communicating effectively with discharge planners.
*Contributes to professional development of self and others*. This includes but is not limited to:
* Utilizing continuing education assistance to achieve targeted quality improvements.
* Interacting with peer therapist at local acute hospitals and other environments, if appropriate.
* Presenting effectively at weekly rehab team conferences, facility in-services, and professional conferences.
* Maintaining current body of knowledge in areas of clinical expertise through seminars, professional journals, and peers.
* Meeting continuing education requirements of regulatory agencies.
*Aids in building and maintaining a positive facility culture as a professional member of the staff. *This includes but is not limited to:

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
*Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:*
* Knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment as they relate to medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
* Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides. Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Ability to work with all types and levels of staff and patients.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Education:*
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited SLP program
*Experience:*
2-3 years experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent preferred. Rehab experience required.
*Physical Requirements:*
*For Direct Patient Care:*
* Speech-Language Pathologist will spend approximately 60-80% of time stooping, and reaching while working with therapy patients.
* Must be able to perform CPR, if required.
*For Support Activities:*
Speech-Language Pathologist will spend approximately 5-10% of time sitting at desk or terminal entering data.
*License/Certification:*
* Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence.
* Current CPR certification, if required.
* California Speech-Language Pathology license or license candidate under state’s regulations
