Manages the daily operations of the assigned department, unit, or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. May provide direct care to patients.
This Clinical Manager role is Education focused

Responsibilities:
Assesses the quality of patient care delivered. Evaluates needs of patients and families and provides patient and family centered care. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.Ensures regulatory compliance. Assist with the identification, determination and need for systems, equipment and supplies. Monitors usage, and oversees proper working order of equipment and ensures adequate supplies.Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May oversee scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Additional Job Information:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Two (2) years nursing experience. Other Information: *** Department specific credentials - See below- ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate Required for those RN's administering chemotherapy.- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas.- PALS required for Pediatric areas with the exception of NICU. Certification in Fetal Monitoring through National Credential Center or through AWOHNN (Intermediate or Advanced) for L&D RN's.- Newly licensed RN's have 6 months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS, and Fetal Monitoring if L&D.Note: For added clarification, see Mandatory Education Requirements Grid.

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Patient Services Director and management team, the Room Service Host is responsible for communicating effectively, timely, and courteously with patients, family members, and staff members when distributing menus to all new admissions, obtaining meal choices and delivering/collecting patient trays snacks and tube feeding products. Responsible for communicating with nursing staff related to patients’ diet and meal delivery. The core Success Factors include: Instill Trust and Value Differences Patient and Community Focus and Collaborate RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for communicating effectively, timely and courteously with patients, nursing, and family members when obtaining meal choices to enter into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system, verifying patient satisfaction, identify meal service problems and assisting patients on missed meal report for menu selections each meal.Communicates with the dietitian or dietetic technician when patient food/beverage/supplement intake is poor. Communicates patient’s special requests for food not allowed on their diets or diet education.Accurately enters and updates all meal selections/orders/preferences/special request for food in CBORD system and accurately maintains the most current information regarding patient diet orders by properly using CBORD Room Service tablet system. If patient is unable to select meal verbally, takes order or enter into CBORD On Demand.Maintains clean and sanitary work environment and performs cleaning and waste disposal and equipment operation duties in accordance with departmental policies and/or procedures including monitoring, rotating, and filling floor stock according to pars. Checking refrigerators and dry storage area in pantries for cleanliness and out of date product, discard as needed.Identifies safety hazards in the department and reacts to eliminate hazards quickly.Delivers all patient nourishments, snacks and tube feeding products.Works well in a team environment Performs other duties as assigned.May be required to perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC KNOWLEDGE:Ability to read and communicate in the English language. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and the ability to compute percentages. High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Strong basic computer skills.EXPERIENCE: At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience is required.CBORD experience preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Mostly standing/walking, with other movement such as, repetitive motions, reaching, pulling and pushing may be required.Speech, sight and hearing to effectively communicate by varied means including, but not limited to, telephone, in person, and fax.Physical ability to lift to 35 lbs.Exposure to patient environment.

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering/documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e., chief complaint, allergies, and/or medications). Monitors and completes Clinical Integration/ Quality Improvement measures with notification to clinician for opportunities within their scope.
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e., strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines.
- Assists the Physician/ Advanced Practice Professional (APP) with procedures such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers routine medications, under Physician/ APP orders or medical group approved standing orders/protocols, which may include but are not limited to immunizations, antibiotics, vitamins, and topical agents.
- Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, pre-approved care algorithms, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. Refers questions to Registered Nurses and Physician/APC per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.

Summary:
The Patient Financial Services Representative (PFSR) serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and guarantors in the hospital, ambulatory or medical office setting. The PFSR engages with the patient or guarantor to obtain pertinent information and answer any questions in an effort to ensure that all required demographic, financial, and insurance eligibility information is gathered and verified. Responsibilities:
Explains polices including all regulatory and financial consent forms; secures all required signatures.May perform patient discharge functions including, but not limited to, review of after visit summary (AVS), future appointment scheduling, and referrals.Interviews patients and guarantors at the workstation or bedside to obtain all necessary information, including a copy of the patient or guarantor identification card.May confirm physician and prescription orders ensuring accuracy.May schedule walk-in appointments for services offered.Collects patient out-of-pocket responsibility per collection guidelines. 4CD is a 26 bed Medical/Telemetry unit comprised of both private and semi-private patient rooms. Most patients are admitted by the Emergency Department, making it a great learning experience for new graduates. You will care for a very diverse population with multiple acute and chronic illnesses including COPD, CHF, chest pain, diabetes, wounds, cellulitis, stroke, pneumonia, and minor surgical patients (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc).

- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.
- Assists the physician/provider with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers medications, under physician/provider orders, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins, topical agents, and insulin. With limitations, initiates, maintains and discontinues IV therapy; administering selected fluids with pre-mixed medications.
- Provides basic patient education on the performance of tasks, skills, treatment and self-care. The clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating complex lung diseases, respiratory conditions, and a wide array of sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
· Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.
· Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available.
· Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case- by -case basis.
· Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.

First Shift Monday-Friday. Every 6th weeknight/weekend night on-call until 10PM (no call after 10PM). Must learn Echo on the job. Very occasional weekend shifts to cover for weekender tech vacation. This is a 60% FTE with 2 days one week and 3 days the next in a pay period.

$38.20 - $57.30Major Responsibilities:
- Competently operates ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac procedures/studies. Accurately differentiates between normal and pathologic findings.
- Reviews patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information including patient history, lab results, and physician orders, obtains necessary clinical information from patients, and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
- Positions patient and selects proper transducer and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures. Adjusts factors to attain the appropriate images. Ensures safety, mental and physical comfort of patient.
- Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
- Accurately identifies and labels images identifying patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and location or position of scan on all images.
- Maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
- Identifies equipment performance issues, communicates to appropriate staff, and evaluates new products and equipment for possible future use.
- Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
- Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
- Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, or
- Vascular Sonography (VS) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, or
- Vascular Specialist (RVS) registration issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
- Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) registration with Adult Echo issued by the ARDMS needs to be obtained within 18 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, or
- Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) registration issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) needs to be obtained within 18 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
