*About SwiftCare:*

SwiftCare is an established, locally owned and operated walk-in urgent care practice in Salem, Oregon. As we expand with a *second Salem location*, we are seeking Nurse Practitioners to join our team in both full-time and per-diem positions.

This position is well suited for an NP who enjoys independent clinical practice, lower-acuity urgent care, and a fast-paced patient environment, with experienced Medical Assistant support and Medical Director oversight.

*Our Clinical Environment:*

SwiftCare is a high-volume, lower-acuity walk-in urgent care practice. Providers should be comfortable maintaining an efficient pace of *approximately four patients per hour when patient demand is present*, with daily volume varying based on walk-in demand and seasonal trends.

Our providers primarily treat common acute illnesses, minor injuries, infections, lacerations, and other routine urgent-care needs. Experienced Medical Assistants and established clinical workflows support efficient patient flow while allowing providers to focus on clinical decision-making, quality patient care, and timely documentation.

*Schedule:*

SwiftCare is open *7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., seven days a week, with a one-hour lunch closure*.

Providers work scheduled daytime shifts with no overnight shifts or on-call responsibilities.

* Full-Time: Regularly scheduled shifts with benefits eligibility

* Per Diem: Flexible scheduling based on clinic coverage needs and provider availability

* Weekend and holiday availability is required as part of our seven-day urgent care schedule.

*Position Responsibilities:*

As a SwiftCare Nurse Practitioner, you will independently evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries in a walk-in urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include:

* Perform focused histories and physical examinations

* Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and minor injuries

* Develop appropriate treatment plans

* Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing

* Prescribe medications and administer treatments as appropriate

* Perform common urgent-care procedures

* Provide patient education, referrals, and follow-up instructions

* Complete accurate and timely documentation

* Collaborate with the Medical Director and clinical team when appropriate

Common procedures may include laceration repair, incision and drainage, wound care, splinting and management of minor orthopedic injuries, cerumen removal/ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, and medication administration/injections.

*Qualifications*

*Required:*

* Current Oregon Nurse Practitioner license

* Current national board certification

* Oregon prescriptive authority

* DEA registration

* Current BLS certification

* Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills

* Ability to practice independently and efficiently in a walk-in urgent care environment

* Comfortable working in a high-volume clinical environment

*Preferred:*

* Previous urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or other acute-care experience

* Experience with laceration repair and common office-based procedures

* Experience working in a high-volume clinical setting

* AthenaOne experience helpful but not required

*Work Environment*

Fast-paced, walk-in urgent care clinic providing evaluation and treatment of primarily lower-acuity acute illnesses and minor injuries. Providers work closely with Medical Assistants, other clinical staff, administration, and the Medical Director.

*Physical Requirements*

Ability to perform the essential functions of an outpatient Nurse Practitioner position, including periods of standing, walking, bending, and moving between patient exam rooms throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
