As a Patient Care Assistant in our Oncology Unit at Banner Gateway Medical Center, you will work in a 24-bed unit with a 12/1 ratio that specializes in care of oncology patients, from diagnosis, treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation treatment, symptom management, palliative (supportive) care, clinical trials, and care of some stem cell patients. A high percentage of our patients have a diagnosis of leukemia, but we care for patients with all types of cancer. We are affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Center and work closely with them to ensure our patients get the best cancer care possible.
This is a Full-time NIGHT shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:30pm-7am. You will have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage, and enjoy an additional 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.

Located near Phoenix in Gilbert, Ariz., Banner Gateway Medical Center offers 286 private rooms, 13 operating suites, a 46-bed emergency department and shares a campus with the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Our WIS and NICU services support an average of 4,000 deliveries per year. Key specialties include oncology, obstetrics, bariatric surgery, emergency and other services that focus on meeting the changing needs of the dynamic and growing community we serve.Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Located in Gilbert, Ariz. (the Phoenix Metro area) on the Banner Gateway Campus, the center provides world-class care for oncology patients - both inpatient and outpatient - and has also brought leading oncology programs to the Banner Gateway campus including designation as a Stem Cell Transplant Center of Excellence and comprehensive Head & Neck cancer care. Our capabilities include five linear accelerator vaults, a brachytherapy vault, an advanced diagnostic imaging suite with PET/CT scan, more than 70 infusion bays, a cryopreservation lab and much more. Our inpatient medical oncology unit also incorporates a program that utilizes the electronic surveillance partnership in caring for the patient, where remote nurses have the ability to interact with patients via two-way audio-video to assist the bedside nurse with patient care.POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility and providing assistance with nutritional intake as needed.
2. Collects patient specimens and data, including vital signs, input/output and other delegated measurements in accordance with unit/facility policy and standards of care. Documents objective data and routine aspects of patient care. Assists in the transportation of patient specimens.
3. Recognizes and reports abnormalities and/or changes in the patient’s health status and responses to treatment to a licensed professional. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for which care is provided.
4. Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional, consistent with demonstrated competencies and according to state scope of practice; procedures may include blood draws, foley catheters removal, EKGs, and EKG monitoring. Provides necessary supplies, support and assistance to medical staff and patients for unit specific procedures, under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.
5. Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution.
6. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
7. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.
8. Based on area of assignment may assist with transporting patients, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative patients to critical care unit. Participates in OR room turnover.
9. This position works under supervision and has responsibility for assigned unit only. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Interacts with staff at all levels throughout the facility, as well as patients, families and physicians
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification is required. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers. In Tucson: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires. Existing Tucson incumbents may not transfer out of their geographical market without meeting the CNA requirement. Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy and keyboarding skills is required.

Depending on department assignment, receive a minimum passing score of 85% on ECG or EEG test with accurate identification of all lethal cardiac dysrhythmias and epileptiform activity is required. Successful completion of either a unit approved basic electrocardiogram interpretation course or electroencephalographic interpretation course, or on the job training is also required.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire. Employees working for Banner Home Care AZ must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In Arizona the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) licensure is preferred. Recent healthcare experience preferred. Successful completion of an approved unit secretary program is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician Specialist Haz Compound assists in performing manipulative and non-discretionary functions associated with the practice of pharmacy. The technician works with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care to oncology and non-oncology infusion patients. Responsibilities may include coordination of equipment and supplies. The technician will have additional knowledge and skill in the ability to follow mixing formulations and the use of specialized compounding equipment, mixing techniques, and hazardous chemicals. Knowledgeable in the rules and regulations specific to the practice of sterile extemporaneous compounding is required.
Requirements
- Successful completion of WA Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Current Washington State Board of Pharmacy Technician License
- Experience in IV sterile compounding, both hazardous and non-hazardous
- Hospital experience preferred

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care and daily living support
Delivers basic patient care under the direction of the registered nurse, including assistance with activities of daily living (hygiene, bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility), meal set-up and feeding as indicated, skin care, positioning and turning, ambulation and range of motion, admission and discharge support, safe patient transport, and orientation of patients and families to the care environment.
• Support patient monitoring, data collection, and specimen collection
Obtains and records patient data such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, non-invasive blood pressure, height, weight, intake and output, blood glucose results, and 12-lead ECGs; performs bladder scanning and specimen collection using two patient identifiers; promptly reports changes in patient status or abnormal findings to the RN/licensed nurse.
• Prepare, use, and maintain equipment and the care environment
Retrieves, sets up, and cleans patient care equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, portable oxygen, pulse oximeters, suction systems, lifting equipment, scales) according to unit protocols; maintains a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment; follows equipment management and infection prevention practices, including standard precautions and hand hygiene.
• Promote a safe, healing, and respectful environment
Supports a Culture of Safety by performing hourly rounding, responding promptly and appropriately to call lights and patient/family requests, providing constant observation when assigned, using Safe Patient Handling principles, monitoring for and reporting safety concerns, and consistently demonstrating respect, kindness, and cultural sensitivity while protecting patient privacy and confidentiality.

- Delivers expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families: Implements nursing process: Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of the Oncology Nurse Residency Program (ONRP) or 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse. Ambulatory and/or oncology experience preferred. Professional nursing certification (e.g., OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, RN-BC) is preferred, and AHA BLS certification is required (AHA ACLS is acceptable as a minimum requirement).

TheRegistered Nurse (RN)delivers compassionate, evidence-based care designed to support healing and wellness. As aclinical nurse, you’ll spend the majority of your time (>50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care through:
- Conducting nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
- Facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Providing patient and family-centered education
- Coordinating care and developing individualized treatment plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Administer medications and implement nursing interventions in accordance with best practices and hospital policy
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Monitor and document patient responses, revising care plans as needed

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required.In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an associate degree in nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.

Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.

About the role

What you’ll do
- Assess and manage hospitalized pediatric Hematology, Oncology, BMT, and immunology patients, including new transplant and immunology consultations.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans in partnership with attending physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
- Order and manage chemotherapy, infusions, prescriptions, supportive care, and treatment-related monitoring within scope and privileges.
- Recognize and treat disease- and therapy-related complications and respond to changes in clinical condition.
- Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirates and biopsies, and skin biopsies.
- Coordinate consulting services, home care needs, follow-up, discharge planning, and safe transitions of care.
- Provide clear, compassionate education and guidance to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement, staff education, clinical initiatives, and department research.
Schedule and practice environment
This is a 24/7 inpatient service. APPs work 12-hour shifts with a rotating mix of weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays. The schedule supports continuous specialty coverage and close collaboration across the Hematology, Oncology, and BMT teams.
What you’ll bring
- Utah license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Utah Controlled Substance License.
- Federal DEA registration for Schedules II–V.
- Current PALS and BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- Preferred: Clinical experience in pediatric hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy, or another high-acuity pediatric specialty.

Atrium Health Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation Pediatric Infusion Center is located in the Medical Center Plaza building in Charlotte, NC. In the infusion center we administer chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, IVIG, biologic therapies, enzyme replacement treatments, and supportive care such as IV hydration, antibiotics, and iron infusions, supporting patients across specialties including hematology/oncology, immunology, gastroenterology, neurology, and rheumatology. JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers compassionate, evidence-based care designed to support healing and wellness. In this role, you’ll coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care while creating an environment rooted in dignity, respect, and empathy. You will use your clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients across the lifespan.
As a clinical nurse, you’ll spend the majority of your time (>50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care through:

Provides clinical leadership and oversight of the MCI Urologic Oncology program. This person ensures high standards of care and compliance with medical guidelines. They work closely with the operational director in developing and implementing the overall services, operations and objectives. Position Summary
The Nurse Navigator RN is a multi-faceted opportunity providing comprehensive services to patients throughout our health care continuum. Working within hybrid roles of registered nurse, case manager and patient liaison, this dynamic role offers you the room to self-direct and prioritize.

Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or RN with 15+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement (Employees hired before 11/30/2025 will be exempt from this requirement)
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- Certification specific to area of hiring, highly desirable. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Certified Case Manager (CCMC), Accredited Case Manager (ACMA), Care Coordination and Transition Management (AAACN), Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN), or similar.
- Three to five (3-5) years of recent clinical experience in area of specialty required
- Current BLS certification

Practicing within a Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited comprehensive cancer program, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized, evidence-based, and compassionate care for patients across all stages of urologic cancer.Responsibilities • Diagnose and treat disorders and cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies. • Perform advanced procedures such as radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy, often utilizing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques to enhance precision and recovery. • Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results related to endocrine disorders. • Develop and manage pre- and post-operative care plans. • Work closely with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case reviews. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation • Ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols and institutional policies. • Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, and recovery expectations. • Stay current with advancements in urological oncology through continuing education. • Mentor residents, fellows, or junior staff as applicable. • Participate in clinical trials or research initiatives aimed at improving surgical outcomes and techniques (if applicable). • Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives. Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.
Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds
Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral
Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.

Job Duties:
Our Infusion MA's provide support to the nursing team, while also providing care to our Infusion patients. Our MA's are trained to give SubQ injections, access Ports & start IV's. Our MA's support the nursing team by obtaining Vital signs, Height/Weights, ordering supplies, stocking, cleaning bays, answering call lights, bring patients back and any other delegated tasks.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an accredited school or at least 1 year of work experience as an MA or in a similar patient care role.
Will consider a student in a medical focused field of study that is able to meet the scheduling needs of the department (SEE ABOVE)
Experience: No previous experience required if MA training has been completed. Prior experience in an Oncology clinic preferred.
Licensure: BLS annual certificate.
