*ROLES: * Seeking Psychiatrists for a 3 -5 day a week roles to join well run, comfortably-paced, non-profit outpatient clinics. Available roles at either a clinic serving a severe and mentally ill population (SMI) , and another role serving SMI with co-occuring Dual Diagnosis disorders.
The onsite multi-disciplinary team includes nurses, therapists, case managers and peer support to maximize successful treatment and a safe workplace.
You will predominantly focus on helping patients succeed with their SMI goals. And if working at the SMI + Dual Diagnosis clinic the substance councillors take lead on your patients' other addiction needs.
Experience a high level of nurse support for each of your visits, as well as a high level of wrap around staffing, which together maximize successful treatment and a safe workplace.
\*Ability to concurrently document patient visits in an EMR while you interview your patients\* will be an important skill to help achieve the mild 50% productivity goals present at this program.
*REQUIREMENTS:* Unrestricted California Medical License in hand at time of application. No J1 visa candidates. Board Eligibility in Adult Psychiatry. Medicare & Medi-Cal eligibility (we will apply for you if needed).
*SCHEDULE:* Start Date: August or September 2026. Your daily schedule will include 60- 90 minute intakes and 30-45 minutes follow up visits, 1-2 hour admin time to catch up on charting, forms and check ins with staff. 8 hour days.
*COMPENSATION: * $200 per hour. + up to $20,000 annual productivity bonus. Additional compensation for optional nurse practitioner supervision may be available. This role is Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible.

Senior Medical Associates seeks a psychiatrist-leader to join a quality-focused team to predominantly clinically care for an underserved population at a brand new 23 hour Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), in the El Cajon neighborhood of San Diego.
SMA Psychiatry is a local multi-specialty medical group dedicated to caring for complex, underserved populations, known for great job satisfaction across nearly every level of behavioral healthcare in San Diego.
*ROLE:* The treatment population is adults in crisis ranging from involuntary to voluntary clients, novel neuropsychiatric presentations, chronic mental illness, substance use disorders and beyond. CSU clients are screened for those with an acuity appropriate to receive care in this freestanding setting rather than the emergency room.
You will perform initial, followup and discharge services as well as supervision of a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Benefit from close collaboration with psychiatric social workers, psychiatric nurses, peer support and other specialty providers.
EMR: Smartcare
Medical Director component includes leadership over our team at 3 local CSUs. This is a part time component of a predominantly-clinical role, and includes minimal after hours responsibility.
*EXPERIENCE:* Clinical acumen in Emergency Psychiatry, Consult Liaison Psychiatry or Inpatient Psychiatry and significant psychiatry leadership role is required. An ability to work in an fast-paced and established system is essential.
Must be ABPN Board Eligible. Must possess active, unrestricted California Medical & DEA licenses at time of application. No recruiters, J1 or H1B candidates.
*SCHEDULE:* Shifts are 10 hours in duration, delivered in-person (N o T e l e p s y c h i a t r y). Currently hiring for Tuesday through Fridays.

The clinical treatment populations are myriad adults in need of short term acute crisis residential services as a step down from a hospital setting, or as an alternative to a hospitalization. Clients are all admitted voluntarily to this unlocked 16 bed environment, no patients are on psychiatric holds. Enjoy multidisciplinary collaboration with counselors, clinicians, nurses & peer support staff to maximize the successful lauch of your patients back into their community.
*QUALIFICATION: *Candidates must have an active, unrestricted California medical license & DEA certificate in hand at time of application. Candidate must be board eligible or board certified in psychiatry.
*SCHEDULE:* Most hours are in person, paid for 24 hours weekly with an expectation to deliver an average of 17.25 hours of face to face care weekly. Must be onsite Mon, Wed and Fri. Also remain on-call M-F through early evening for new admissions, clarifications & PRN issues with this residential outpatient population.
*COMPENSATION: *$240-245/ hour part time, malpractice including tail coverage included as an option.
