Better Than Ever for Nurses. When we make things better than ever for nurses at Banner Health, we make things better than ever for all of us. This means investing in the holistic health and happiness of our nurses—through better pay, better benefits, better opportunities and a better community.
The Banner Gateway Stem Cell Transplant Surgical Oncology Unit is a very busy, 24-bed unit that specializes in the care of oncology patients. Responsibilities include: caring for patients from diagnosis to treatment of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation treatment, symptom management, palliative (supportive) care, clinical trials, and care of some stem cell patients. A high percentage of our patients have a diagnosis of leukemia, but we care for patients with all types of cancer. We are affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Center and work closely with them to ensure our patients get the best cancer care possible. Many of our patients have extended stays to complete their course of treatment. This allows us to really get to know each patient and their family members, which helps to form a therapeutic relationship/bond. Our nurses find this aspect of the job very rewarding.
As a Stem Cell Registered Nurse you will have the unique opportunity to not only provide the finest care possible, but to advance the way care is provided. To achieve our vision, we seek driven professionals who embrace change and who possess the passion and skills to make it happen. Oncology or Stem Cell experienced RN with BSN is highly preferred.
We currently have full-time day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) shifts available working three 12-hour shifts per week. You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18% night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable. If working with a great team is what you are looking for, apply today!
*Eligibility for the $10,000 sign-on bonus requires 1+ years of RN experience with a 1 year commitment.
If you are a New Graduate Nurse with less than 12 months of experience, please visit the main job search page and use keywords RN New Grad to search for openings.

In January 2022, Houston Methodist The Woodlands opened Healing Tower — a $250 million expansion project that added 106 beds, focused on medical-surgical and women’s services, and provided nine operating rooms. The project also included the expansion of the endoscopy center, emergency department and diagnostic imaging department with an enhanced neurodiagnostic and interventional center.
