- Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
- RHTT-Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch OR RHA-Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- General knowledge of radiation therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
- Capable of performing routine radiation treatment and simulations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
- Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
- Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
- Build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is the core of ProMedica’s world-class patient care team. By providing patient-centered care through sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience, ProMedica nurses are dedicated to improving health outcomes for our patients and for the communities we serve.
As the coordinator of a patient’s plan of care, you will interact with the patient, families and the health care team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. The RN will assess and formulate a nursing diagnosis, and plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan.

REQUIREMENTS
- Current State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR training. Specialty certifications as required by individual nursing units.
- The RN in Ohio must complete twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period. At least 1 hour of contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules.

Position Summary

Job Summary
Under indirect supervision performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving of CT images. Responsible for the care of the patient while in the Cat Scan Department.
- Demonstrates competency in positioning of all CT procedures as prescribed by departmental policy and CT protocols.
- Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients ' understanding and address any questions or concerns.
- Positions patient and formulates appropriate techniques to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy of interest based on accepted radiographic principles. Judges diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs venipuncture for administration of radiopaque media and assists in obtaining informed consent as appropriate
- Reviews all diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided. All questionable orders are communicated to the radiologists for final approval.
- Takes verbal orders from providers as needed and enters appropriately in RIS system.
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
- Assists, communicates, and consults with the Radiologists. Works independently outside the department with providers.
- Observes patient during radiologic exam for change in status and makes appropriate intervention or contacts primary care givers for instruction.
- Provides guidance, direction and mentoring for other personnel that maybe assigned to the area in which they are working including student radiographers.
- Identifies and corrects problems as appropriate with all critical occurrences reported to the next level of authority.

Weekend Hours: The Weekend Differential Zone starts at 11:00 PM on Friday and ends at 11:00 PM on Sunday. To qualify for the weekend premium there must be at least 2 hours in the zone.
GUIDELINES
Scheduling Process:
- After the 4-week schedule (graph) is completed, per diem shift needs are posted in Kronos.
- Per-diem staff are expected to self-schedule via Kronos Advanced Scheduling or contact their manager in areas using Basic Scheduling.
Monthly Commitment:
- Minimum of 24 worked hours per 4-week schedule, working 12 hour shifts.
- At least 12 of these hours must be night shifts (eligible for differential).
- At least 12 of these hours must be weekend hours, if available.
- If they work a 12 hour shift on the weekend at night it will meet the commitment requirement.
Holiday Commitment:
- One winter holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
- One other holiday: MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day
- Shifts canceled by the hospital will still count toward holiday commitments.
Cross Department Requirements:
- Per diem scheduling obligations must be met on the employees’ home unit before working in other units.
Failure to Meet Requirements:
- May result in corrective action or status review.
Canceled Shifts:
- Shifts canceled by management will count toward scheduling minimums.

The Radiology Department is a specialized procedural area that provides expert care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging. The department includes four Interventional Radiology suites and 15 pre/post-procedure bays, where nurses manage patient preparation, moderate sedation, and recovery for a wide range of procedures.
Radiology nurses also oversee care across multiple modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, and PET. Comprehensive and strategic oversight of all pharmacy services for assigned areas of responsibility. Supervises, mentors, facilitates, plans, and administers all aspects of pharmacy practice within areas of responsibility. Actively collaborates in the development, implementation, and growth of pharmacy practice and pharmacy related services at Geisinger. Facilitates and ensures the coordination of patient care through the continuum.Job Duties:
- Assumes the responsibility for comprehensive oversight and accountability for pharmacy practice, medication use process, and transitions of care for Geisinger patients served within their responsible areas.
- Empowers, motivates, and provides mentorship for other pharmacy leaders and staff.
- Provides guidance to ensure optimized, effective, and patient-centric care is provided across the spectrum of pharmacy services.
- Acts as a role model to staff for engagement and team dynamics.
- Evaluates the department's current pharmacy practice, oversees and plans for the development of new programs, and makes recommendations to leadership based on need and opportunity.
- Provides continuous leadership support of the pharmacy practice model to develop and embed the pharmacist provider and pharmacy technician as an integral part of the health care team.
- Provides oversight, guidance, and participates when needed with respective leadership team in performance management and development activities for staff.
- Oversees staff recruitment and hiring processes.
- Accountable for ensuring the maintenance of standards, clinical activities, operational activities, and performance measurement tools in the areas of clinical efficiency, operational efficiency, quality and patient satisfaction.
- Identifies and analyzes changes in medication utilization and costs including factors driving change trends.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare professionals and administrative partners to develop processes or programs which address identified issues with medication management and utilization.
- Provides oversight and contributes to the development of evidence-based, cost containment and cost saving protocols and medication therapies.
- Assumes overall responsibility for the financial performance of all assigned areas.
- Develops, implements, and achieves budgets and provides input into business plans and financial proformas.
- Utilizes metrics and quality data to monitor revenue/expense, staff productivity, and clinical outcomes, which is reported to Enterprise Pharmacy and System leadership upon request.
- Provides oversight and accountability with the leadership team for establishing, monitoring, communicating to staff, and continuously improving system performance parameters for pharmacy services.
- Ensures compliance of assigned areas and services with accreditation, regulatory and corporate compliance standards in collaboration with the System Director, Operations, and Compliance as well as with the rest of the leadership team which includes the development, revision, and auditing of the departments policies, clinical and operational procedures.
- Ensures accountability in collaboration with pharmacy leadership team for updated and appropriate collaborative practice agreements are in place at all assigned practice areas.
- In reference to Specialty Pharmacy: Provides guidance and is responsible for oversight of the clinical aspects of the Caresite Specialty Patient Management Program.
- Leads and develops the Performance Improvement Program in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Directs corporate compliance activities, including plan development and implementation for Caresite Specialty Rx.
- Ensures compliance with local and federal regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
