Our Level IV NICU provides the highest level of neonatal care for critically ill and premature infants, offering advanced medical and surgical interventions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals who collaborate seamlessly to deliver exceptional care. We pride ourselves on a culture of strong teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous learning.
Major Responsibilities:
- Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
- Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
- Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
- Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
- Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making, respects interdisciplinary roles, and contributes to integrated, unbiased patient care.
- Appropriate delegation to other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and unlicensed assistive personnel (i.e., nurse aides, credentialed medical assistants, etc.).
- Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- May be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
Note: Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth/telenursing/virtual modalities are required to be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located. Licensed nurses are responsible and accountable for knowing, understanding, and practicing in compliance with the laws, rules, regulations, and standards of practice of the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.) clinical, aviation, maintenance, communications, and administrative departments.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit at High Point Medical Center is an 18 bed intermediate care unit that provides care to patients with a cardiac focus. This unit is responsible for monitoring patient cardiac rhythms, and is comprised of cardiac population patients including; heart failure, post pacemaker insertion, post cardiac catheterization with intervention, post ablation, BiPAP, occasional tracheostomy, post-op carotid endarterectomy, and post-op CABG along with intermediate patients that are transferred out of the Medical and Cardiac ICUs.
We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Less than 1 year of RN experience
What You’ll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

This position promotes optimal care of the injured patient through leadership, coordination and development of processes related to a specialized service. Assists other leaders to establish, oversee, and evaluate quality of care as well as to identify opportunities for improvement, operationally and clinically. Enhances the program development though coordination of daily operations and activities with other departments, services, and referral facilities. Oversees and ensures compliance with local, state, or national organizations for verification and designation including the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and state agencies.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for the day to day operations of the trauma program. Evaluates trauma services across the care continuum in collaboration with the trauma medical director and organizational leaders.
2. Maintains current knowledge of national accreditation/state regulatory requirements, provides oversight of the program, and evaluates compliance, including all related components along the continuum of care. Represents the department at management/leadership meetings and at local/regional trauma related meetings.
3. Maintains a trauma specific quality program that effectively improves clinical care, processes, and systems related to the injured patient and is aligned with service line expectations and national standards. Coordinates relevant committee meetings and ensures documentation is complete and maintained.
4. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across the continuum of care to address quality of care, program development, and opportunities for improvement.
5. Contributes to the oversight of data processes, from collection to validation to reporting. Develops an understanding of inclusion criteria, applicable injury scoring systems, data definitions, and benchmarking programs such as NTDB/TQIP as applicable. Provides accurate statistical data regarding the program activities, including quality data, evaluation, and validation from benchmarking programs.
6. Facilitates education for trauma team personnel, including orientation to the trauma program and internal and external education related to identified needs. Oversees community education and prevention programs and participates in identified system supported initiatives and activities.
7. Assists with developing departmental budget and manages assigned staff as applicable.
8. This is a highly matrixed position required to influence patient care across the continuum of care and patient outcomes by collaborating across multiple services and specialties. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Internal customers: All facility staff, management, and physicians. External customers: Patients, ACS, governmental agencies, and staff of other healthcare facilities.
9. Uses knowledge and experience of area to suggest improvements to processes for adult level III trauma centers or pediatric trauma centers. Leader works to influence change and to remove variances that may interfere with meeting ACS and/or state requirements. In burn program/centers, leaders will work to achieve same stated requirements through American Burn Association (ABA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Current RN licensure in state of practice. BLS certification required (or specialized life support certification depending on specialty).
Current TNCC required; ATCN preferred. Instructor status in either or both is highly desired. For burn programs, current ABLS certification required.
Minimum of five years clinical experience in a high patient acuity area including experience in related areas specific to clinical specialty, including trauma, pediatric, or burn for burn specific programs. Minimum two years supervisory or leadership experience. Must have American Trauma Society (ATS) TPM course and TOPIC course completed within six months of hire.
Self-motivated, requiring minimal direction. Computer skills including basic office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations). Demonstrate proficient interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, professional interaction with all individuals and public organizations. Ability to provide departmental leadership, training, and staff development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional certification(s) specific to clinical specialty.
Prior experience and knowledge of the principles of health care program design, development and implementation.
Previous trauma coordinator/trauma program manager experience or pediatric and burn experience as applicable.
Knowledge of performance improvement, trauma registry data is beneficial.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Job Duties:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Delivers expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.

G. Procedural Nurse Responsibilities
1. Delivers expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.
2. Perform pre procedural assessment with patients by obtaining medical history via pre procedural phone call to provide patient specific instructions:
a. Assess safety and tolerability of procedural sedation.
b. Perform medication reconciliation.
c. Review procedural sedation history.
d. Provide pre procedural instructions, providing the patient with opportunity to ask clinical questions without requiring separate call back.
3. Create patient specific premedication regiment in collaboration with procedure APP.
4. Obtain IV access and preprocedural lab work.
5. Administered preprocedural procedural medications, titrating according to specific patient needs. Also administer chemotherapy and performs procedures safely and efficiently in accordance with Institute policy. May administer blood transfusions.
6. Work as co-sign to Intrathecal Chemotherapy administered by APP.
7. Assists in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient`s physical condition.
8. Maintains awareness of procedural suite activities and works with the Procedure Suite team to maximize workflow.
9. Keeps abreast of changing techniques in procedural nursing and maintains a high level of expertise in critical care.
10. Responsible for intraprocedural monitoring of patients not limited to maintain active airway, assesses effective circulation and respiration via capnography and telemetry monitoring.
11. Safely recover patients post sedation, perform discharge teaching, and evaluate safety of patient discharge.
12. Coordinate correct research specimen collection with research coordinators.
13. Maintain Joint commission readiness.
14. Provide as needed support for biopsy specimen collection when not acting in a procedural sedation role.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree, Nursing. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred. If Associate degree in Nursing, must complete BSN degree within 4 years. Experience: Completion of the Oncology Nurse Residency Program (ONRP) or 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse. Ambulatory and/or oncology experience preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Required:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or State of New Hampshire as appropriate required. AHA BLS required (AHA ACLS accepted as minimum requirement). Professional nursing certification preferred (OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, RN-BC).

The Cardiac Device Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, coordinating, planning, implementation and evaluating care of patients who have had Cardiac Devices implanted for treatment or diagnosis of cardiac related rhythms. The Cardiac Device Nurse coordinates the interrogation, programming, and triaging of implanted devices’ data, acquired during in-clinic visits or through remote transmissions. The role also serves to educate patients, providers, and other clinical staff on the utility of implantable devices, the intricacies of device functionality and data, and the role these devices play in the management of arrhythmia patients.
Position Details:
- Monday - Friday, Four 10-hour shifts. Day off in the week will be based on clinic needs.

Job Essentials
- Interrogating implanted devices, monitoring and documenting patients’ response to therapy or changes in device settings, programming adjustments per physician's order, Addressing and prioritizing remote transmissions and alert management, including troubleshooting devices.
- Maintain Device Clinic Database: Responsible for all aspects of the clinic database.
- Respond to patient needs: provide patient education regarding devices and respond to calls for device related issues from patients, providers, and vendors.
- Commitment to continuing education in implantable device procedures and technology.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current RN License in state of practice.

Job Description:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Endoscopy Technician I (ET I) supports basic, diagnostic and/or therapeutic endoscopic procedures at rural, community, large and trauma facilities. This entry-level role ensures safe and effective care during procedures such as Colonoscopy, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), Tracheostomy/Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Placement, Enteroscopy, basic Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT), Food Impaction Removal, Bravo Capsule Placement, and EndoFLIP. Interventions may include polypectomy, biopsy, dilation, cauterization, variceal banding, stent placement, overtube use, foreign body removal, and Hemospray application for GI bleeding.
The ET I may be required to take independent call and assist with urgent or emergent cases.
This role contributes to system-wide Surgical Services initiatives and actively participates in the Endoscopy Team Safety Plan.

Essential Functions
- Performs all aspects of patient care for entry-level, diagnostic, and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, adhering strictly to safety protocols and organizational policies.
- Assembles, prepares, and sets up equipment and supplies according to procedure type and provider-specific requirements; accurately navigates ProVation for image capture and documentation.
- Assists with procedure room turnover and ensures emergent equipment is either sent to sterile processing or appropriately reprocessed in-room for subsequent use.
- Maintains procedural safety by managing supplies and equipment and ensures proper handling and safeguarding of tissue and specimen samples.
- Responsible for sharps and specimen safety; actively participates in time-outs and all safety protocols, consistently applying Zero Harm error prevention techniques.
- Practices strict infection prevention and high-level disinfection standards, including point-of-use cleaning; may assist with sterile processing of instruments and scopes per manufacturer guidelines.
- Operates specialized equipment and mobile towers proficiently in various procedural settings, including ICU and OR.
- Anticipates the needs of the provider, RN, and patient, demonstrating initiative and responsiveness within the scope of endoscopy technician practice.
- Prepares equipment and supplies urgently and efficiently for emergent procedures and assists with post-procedure room clean-up.
- Transports inpatients safely and efficiently to and from multiple departments throughout the facility.

- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment and instruments with precision and accuracy. This includes computer use and typing for documentation, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position with personal protective equipment for an extended period.
