The 2nd floor Intermediate Unit is a 34-bed unit specializing in Progressive Care (PCU) or intermediate nursing. With nurse-to-patient ratios (4:1), our team provides high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs. Our unit is composed both experienced and new graduate nurses; we work as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient centric care. Our team continues building our reputation as a unit everyone wants to be a part of because of teamwork, clinical expertise, and a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for healthcare provider required.
ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).

Provide comprehensive patient care including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage and patient teaching. Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems. Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.
HOURS: Monday thru Friday Day Shift
Minimum Education:
Required: Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Specify Degree(s): Ophthalmic Technician Program
Minimum Experience:
Required: Less than one year of previous job-related experience
Possess demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in manual refraction and applanation tonometry to support comprehensive ophthalmic care.
Preferred: At least one (1) year of previous job-related experience, highly preferred.
After graduation from an ophthalmic technician education course, staff in the Ophthalmic
Assistant position are required to become certified ophthalmic assistants within the first year of employment.

COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $22.18 - $29.55 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

This job supports the delivery of individualized healthcare services to patients by assisting a registered radiologic technologist with limited radiographic procedures, adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Education
Required - High school diploma or equivalent. Current enrollment in good standing in an accredited Medical Imaging Program
Work Experience
Required – None.
Certifications
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
Knowledge of diagnostic radiology procedures and operation/maintenance of radiology equipment.
Ability to safely operate radiology equipment.
Job Duties
Prepares patient for visit by completing documentation, answering questions, and ensuring understanding of procedure.
Cleans and prepares the examination room for next appointment.
Verifies physician orders and procedures for accuracy to ensure provider is prepared for visit.
Maintains radiographic equipment and work area to departmental standards.
Performs radiology imaging adhering to LSBME standards and ALARA principle.
Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.
Performs quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards in a timely manner and perform notification/remediation as necessary.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Under the direction of a Medical Group Executive Director or Market VP, the Practice Director provides effective leadership and creates a culture of accountability for Medical Group operations including excellence in patient and caregiver safety, quality assurance of care, patient experience, equity, patient access to care, financial stewardship, caregiver engagement, and growth. This leader will oversee a portfolio including medical and surgical specialties.
The leader will need to reside in the great Denver area with frequent travel to clinics in the market.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for leading medical group operations for assigned a moderate to a significant portfolio of clinics within designated market.
- Develops and manages budgets for areas of responsibility, reviews and analyzes budget and other management reports.
- Supports the development of proposals and business cases that deliver on strategic imperatives. Partners with other leaders to understand and respond to competitive threats in the market.
- Provides guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and development to help individuals reach their full potential as leaders and other employees. This includes fostering a culture of mentorship, providing resources and training to enhance leadership skills, and actively supporting the professional growth and development of team members.
- Maintains an operational knowledge of all organizational policies and procedures and ensures compliance with these. Participates in relevant learning activities to keep abreast of current issues, trends, and research.
- Inspires managers and staff to high standards of care while maintaining productivity ratios.
- Demonstrates ability to influence direct and non-direct reports to meet Medical Group goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or another relevant field is required.

7. Practices safe radiation exposure and protection as well as general safety for patient’s, visitors, and staff at all times.
8. Complies with policy and procedures for the departmental and hospital wide programs. Participates in the patient safety training and patient protection, including the needs and methods to report medical/ healthcare errors and abuse.
9. Produces diagnostic quality images utilizing CT equipment and effectively judges CT images for proper technique to best demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Performs critical procedures under stress during emergency procedures.
10. If applicable, performs diagnostic studies using mobile radiographic equipment in emergency or patient rooms as ordered by physician. Performs diagnostic studies in surgical suite with C-Arm and other equipment.
11. Provides care specific to the needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
12. May perform IV insertion/blood draws.
13. Administer IV/Oral/Rectal contrast for CT imaging procedures per radiologist protocol/department manual and ordering physician/care provider order.
14. Utilize PACS to ensure exams are completed and available for the radiologist to read and for the referring physician/care provider review.
15. Performs all related duties as assigned by department manager or other duties assigned by lead technologist.

2. Evaluates and intervenes retrospectively for coverage issues, payor outliers, split billing, disallowed charges, incorrect DRG codes, denial and compliance issues.
3. Quantifies, analyzes, and monitors industry/Medicare trends in order to reduce denials and improve the financial outcomes for the organization. Makes recommendations for improvements based on these trends.
4. Serves as a resource and provides leadership assistance to achieve optimal clinical, operational, financial, and satisfaction outcomes across the system as related to federal, state and commercial reimbursements. Acts as a consultant across the organization to facilities with questions related to proper use of DRG codes.
5. Supports change and participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of the goals/objectives and process improvement activities across the organization as related to federal, state and commercial reimbursements.
6. Corporate based position with no budgetary responsibility. Internally, this position interacts with physicians, clinicians correct and management across the system. Externally, this position interacts with RAC Auditors and other organizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires Registered Nurse (R.N.) licensure in the state of practice.
Requires experience in federal, state and commercial reimbursements and in reviewing clinical information typically acquired in three years auditing DRG coding and reimbursements. Requires five or more years of clinical nursing and/or related experience. Experience in evaluation techniques, teaching, hospital operations, reimbursement methods, medical staff relations, and the charging/billing process is required. A working knowledge of utilization management and patient services is required. A working knowledge of Medical and third party payor requirements and reimbursement methodologies is required. Principal Accountabilities
Conducts regular coding audits and coordinates ongoing monitoring of coding accuracy, providing continuous feedback to coding staff.
Develops and coordinates educational sessions to all coding staff regarding documentation and accurate coding.
Serves as a resource for coding staff on organization-wide coding and documentation standards and guidelines.
Designs audit tools to monitor the accuracy of clinical coding.
Keeps abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.
Conducts trend analyses to identify patterns and variations in coding practices.
Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and adheres to official coding guidelines.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
