We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Pedorthist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert assessment, fitting, and adjustment of orthotic and prosthetic devices to improve patient mobility and comfort. Your expertise will directly enhance patient outcomes through personalized care, biomechanical analysis, and innovative orthotic solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatric populations, ensuring they receive the highest level of clinical care in a supportive environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and gait analysis, to determine orthotic and prosthetic needs.
* Design, fit, and adjust custom orthotics and prosthetic devices based on detailed biomechanical evaluations and patient-specific requirements.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate biomechanics, physiology, and anatomy knowledge.
* Educate patients on proper device use, maintenance, and care to maximize therapeutic benefits.
* Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies while documenting assessments, fittings, adjustments, and patient progress accurately.
* Stay current with continuing medical education (CME) training to ensure the application of the latest techniques in orthotic and prosthetic care.
* Provide direct patient care with a focus on client communication, ensuring a positive experience throughout the treatment process.
*Requirements*
* Certification as a Pedorthist from an accredited program with post-residency experience in orthotic and prosthetic fitting.
* Strong knowledge of biomechanics, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to orthopedics.
* Experience with physical assessments, clinical interprofessional collaboration, and aseptic technique during device fabrication and adjustments.
* Familiarity with orthopedic devices, physical examinations, and medical documentation standards.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds, including pediatric populations when applicable.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development through CME training in areas such as pediatrics, biomechanics, and advanced orthotic techniques.
* Demonstrated understanding of clinical confidentiality policies and best practices for patient privacy.

*Experience*
* Valid certification as a Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist from an accredited organization.
