The Heart & Vascular Unit (7HVU) is a 49 private bed unit. It is considered a specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast paced and will provide growth in professional knowledge and expertise in the care delivery of our cardiovascular patients.  The staff will care for specialty patients such as stable heart and lung transplants and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs).  The Cardiac Vascular Unit is a sister unit to the Cardiac Care Unit.

Radiology Technologist – Ambulatory – Bennington Health Center

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Radiology Technologist - Ambulatory – Bennington Health Center. This role will be great for someone that has a passion for radiology and great customer service for our patients we serve. This Radiology Technologist position will work at our new Bennington Health Center Clinic.

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for X-rays as well as other duties for the clinic. As an Ambulatory Radiology Technologist, you would complete ordered x-rays within the clinic as well as being responsible for rooming patients, giving medications, and drawing labs.  Every day brings something different. Radiology Technologist – Ambulatory Description:

Provide expert diagnostic radiological imaging and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, under the direction of licensed practitioners. Promote efficient operation of the clinic, and provide assistance to physicians and support staff.

Duties:

Provide comprehensive care to individuals and families with cardiac conditions including coronary artery disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting for medical patients. Evaluate for emergent medical conditions including ACS, STEMI, life threatening arrhythmias, and cardiogenic shock. Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.
