They are responsive and dependable, with excellent teamwork and communication skills that foster collaboration and support across the care team. A proactive and engaged presence is key to thriving in this role and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of direct patient care activities and clerical duties, depending on the need of the unit. The performance of these tasks in an efficient and timely manner is essential to enhance the care team's ability to provide quality care. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range in their assigned clinical area.
- Provides patient care as directed, within the nursing assistant scope of practice, in meeting the multidisciplinary care plan established for each patient.
- Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of the patient according to established standards. Reports ant changes in patient condition to licensed personnel in a timely manner.
- Obtains and maintains the integrity of specimens in accordance with policy and procedure, according to physician order.
- Provides for or assists patients with activities of daily living and fulfills designated and delegated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care. Includes patient hygiene and changing linens.
- Provides one to one patient safety watch as assigned following established policies and procedures.
- Accurately processes specimens and provides timely transport of the specimen to the laboratory.
- Performs point of care patient testing and point of care instrument maintenance and quality control.
- Assists in problem solving, trouble shooting and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Serves as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students in a positive manner.
- Performs clerical duties for admissions, transfers, discharges, and deaths according to standards and facilitates patient throughput activities. Transcribes and processes orders according to unit standard.
- Releases and confirms ordered tests to appropriate departments.
- Coordinate's transportation of patients to multiple tests.
- Participates in obtaining and communicating electronic information as pertinent to the nursing unit. Schedules tests, faxes consults, etc.
- Assists in ordering supplies. Stationery items as well as floor stock, patient needs, individual nursing supplies.
- Communicates with food services to ensure appropriate patient diets.
- Operates, problem solves, and takes corrective measures for clerical equipment. To include scheduling maintenance of computers, fax machines, phones, etc.
- Staff have access to non-controlled medications storage and supply areas and can transport non-controlled medications as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic or unit.
- Assists with transporting non-controlled medications to and from Pharmacy and within the unit as needed.
- Assists with transporting blood products to and from Blood Bank as needed.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 800+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for an APP, to be part of the SAMG Comprehensive Pain & Spine Service. The Service is seeking an APP to practice primarily within the Boise Hospital serving the local area. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all aspects of a traditional Comprehensive Pain & Spine clinic, including medication management, clinic interventions, referral, and physician procedure work up as well as follow up/post op visits. The well-qualified candidate will also commit to and demonstrate a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and high levels of compassion for this vulnerable population.
Support: 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia; Level II Trauma Center in Boise; ED; Saint Alphonsus FM/UC/Ortho/Occ Med/PT clinics on-campus in Boise; community family medicine clinics.
Requirements:
- An Unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho and Oregon; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho and Oregon; Board of Pharmacy and DEA.

Our patient population commonly includes pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, acute kidney injury, diabetes-related complications, electrolyte imbalances, infections, and other complex medical diagnoses. Scope
The Medical Director - Gynecology, St. George Regional Hospital is a hospital administrative leadership role with regional and enterprise participation expectations as appropriate. The position reports through the hospital Chief Medical Officer and collaborates closely with hospital administration, nursing leadership, operations leadership, the OB/GYN Department Chair or equivalent medical staff leader, the Senior Medical Director for Women’s Health, and applicable clinical program and specialty leaders.
The role encompasses gynecologic care provided within St. George Regional Hospital, including inpatient gynecology, benign gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, urogynecology procedures, reproductive endocrinology procedures performed in the hospital, gynecologic oncology services, perioperative care, consultation services, and gynecologic emergency care. The role does not include accountability for outpatient clinics or clinic operations and does not include employment decisions or direct supervisory accountability for physicians or advanced practice providers. Employment-related matters remain with each clinician’s employer. The Medical Director may participate in hospital medical staff, credentialing, privileging, peer review, quality, safety, and professional practice processes within the authority of those established structures.

- Lead or support process improvement efforts and clinical program development directed toward achievement of hospital gynecologic quality, safety, utilization, stewardship, patient experience, and strategic goals.
- Participate in peer review, HEAT reviews, root cause analyses, rapid event investigations, case reviews, and other established quality and patient safety processes involving gynecologic care; communicate lessons learned and support resulting clinical or protocol improvements.
- Address clinical quality, safety, professionalism, or performance concerns through appropriate hospital medical staff, including the Department Chair and Medical Executive Committee, and quality structures. Patient Scheduling Associate

Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Patient Scheduling Associate provides the highest level of customer service as they assist patients with routine scheduling of new and follow-up appointments requested by patients and providers and may also contact patients who have received a specialty referral. The Patient Scheduling Associate also assists patients with insurance registration with The University of Kansas Health System's outpatient clinics. This work may be done away from the front desk of a clinical area and could include work in a call center setting taking large volumes of patient phone calls. (Employees in the call center setting may have the opportunity to work remotely from home after demonstrating consistent competency with job duties.) In the clinical location, this role is responsible for front desk operations including greeting and checking in customers and visitors, copay collection, completing MyChart and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) appointment requests, processing external medical records and helping the physician care team prepare for daily patient appointments.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Position responds to a high-volume of incoming telephone calls. Answers phone calls in a timely manner; provides complete and accurate exam related information to the patient regarding prep and other exam related notes; keeps work area organized and scheduling information readily available; maintains productivity within benchmark levels. Works to achieve a coordinated patient itinerary sometimes consisting of multiple appointments.
- Educates patients on providing medical records and other medical documentation needed for TUKHS appointments. Verifies patient demographics and insurance information and verification, completing the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire (MSPQ), scanning document preparation, updating documentation and processing of referrals/order/appointment requests. Scheduler maintains discretion and protects patient confidentiality and privacy. Secures patient signatures for consent and financial forms. Familiarity with insurance coverage types (HMO, PPO, VA, Medicare). Identifies insurance plans and specific procedures which need to be pre-approved. Pre-certifies required tests and procedures. Preauthorization of clinic specific visits and procedures as needed.
- Pre-Visit Scheduling Schedule internal and external incoming department referrals. Complete order entry using hospital information system or manual order forms (test requisitions) including cancellation or modification of orders as required. Review all clinic orders for date, time, signature, and pagers. Verifies referring physician orders against scheduled appointments for accuracy.
- Supports both front desk and scheduling (telephone and MyChart) workflows. May assist patient with MyChart activation and support, including how to complete check-in online prior to the appointment. Responsible for supporting patient through self-check-in utilizing MyChart and the EMR. Ensure proper front desk coverage until last patient is dismissed from the clinic and any follow-up visits are scheduled. Responsible for outpatient clinic direct rooming
- Schedules/reschedules/cancels in person appointments, telehealth visits, surgeries, procedures and/or ancillary services and all incoming department referrals using Epic Cadence decision trees in a courteous, professional and timely manner; accommodates all scheduling requests; prioritizes exams based on clinical indications and contraindications; confirms patient appointments.
- Responsible for collecting all point of service collections due per the EMR generated patient estimate including copay, co-insurance, and deductibles. Follows and completes all standard registration documentation and scanning process in the Health System EMR. Efficiently navigates medical records and ensure patient information is up-to-date and accurately entered in the correct location.
- Effectively communicates Health System Policies to patients and patient advocates. Uses reference documents and online knowledge base tools to clearly articulate accurate information regarding SHC services.
- Has a working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures as well as an understanding of the University of Kansas Health System services and programs. Employees are expected to follow all health system policies and procedures: personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, attire, etc.
- Follows all regulatory and compliance standards, documented protocols and guidelines, daily maintenance of workspace and following environmental health cleaning guidelines.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of scheduling protocols and guidelines, patient registration, pre-certification requirements and basic levels of health insurance and billing procedures. Maintains knowledge of order entry and scanning capabilities as job requires. Position may manage departments Scheduling Inbasket and voicemails.

Emergency Dept Unit Clerk FT 7a-7pThe ED Unit Clerks serve as the department facilitators, aiding in all processes outside of direct patient care to ensure patient care can happen correctly and efficiently. This is achieved by working very closely with the ED Charge Nurse and the ED Flow Coordinator to help manage the department and patient flow within the department. • Solely responsible for the paging and contacting of any and all physicians on call for every consulting and emergent medical service that BMH offers 24 hours per day. Utilizes SmartWeb and Emergin paging systems, as well as ITSM and Conveyant phone databases.
• ED Unit Clerks are responsible for calling and initiating hospital call downs for the ED. This includes tier 1 and tier 2 trauma calls, AMIs, and Strokes, as well as calling down Code Black Level 1 and 2 for the hospital.
• Monitors and operates the 13 bed camera Patient Safety Surveillance program for patients who require extra visual and auditory monitoring.
• Responsible for scanning all encounter level documents into patient charts for emergency room physicians, nurses, and ED Techs. Also provide encounter scanning for Case Management/MSW, for all law enforcement documentation and subpoena information, and for the ED Pharmacy Department. This ensures the proper documentation is compiled for patients, creating the most accurate and complete medical record.
• Arrange and facilitate all patient EMS transfers out of the ED including transfers to nursing facilities, home to patients’ current residence, to KNI for imaging not offered at Bronson, and to KPEP for those patients who qualify. ED Unit Clerks are the only ED employees trained to use the Bronson Transfer Tracking Application.
• Facilitates and monitors the ED’s admission process. Responsibilities range from ensuring the ED Physician pages the correct admitting provider, to broadcasting to the team when the patient has a clean and ready inpatient hospital bed assignment. This helps ED staff expedite moving patients to inpatient status in a timely manner in order to reach SBAR and GEMBA goals, as well as provide the best possible care to patients.
• Facilitates ordering priority 1 blood and initiates massive transfusion protocols with the blood bank. ED Unit Clerks also do the “running” for massive transfusions, which entails retrieving the products from the blood bank and delivering back to the ED.
• Responsible for obtaining medical records from any and all outside hospitals for continuation of patient care for ED Physicians. Collects and encounter scans all requested records into the patients chart.
• Create a daily Physician call schedule for all consulting and emergent services offered by BMH. This involves maintaining and collecting all on-call schedules for all relevant offices and medical groups in the Kalamazoo/BMH area.

- Responsibilities include observation and reporting patient activities and behaviors and appropriate response intervention to assure patient safety. The Patient Safety Assistant will demonstrate appropriate communication skills with patient/patient family and other healthcare providers, and practice confidentiality and safety procedures as defined by agency. Position Summary
The Security Officer is a key position on our Security Services team. In this role, you provide protection over MultiCare Health System properties and facilities. You will own the responsibility for the security and safety of MultiCare patients, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general security in the protection of people and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct utilizing tactical techniques.
- Utilize Management of Aggressive Behavior skills both verbally and physically as required.
- Apply the concepts of Awareness, Vigilance, Avoidance, Defense, and Escape to effectively protect and serve facility campus.
- Utilize weapons detection devices to monitor patients/visitors and ensuring the removal of contraband from facility.
- Apply appropriate techniques with assistive devices when engaging with combative/aggressive individuals.
- Effectively operate/leverage required security equipment and tools.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Current Washington or Idaho state driver’s license (driving is not required for this position at Navos Hospital).
- IAHSS basic certification or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire date.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in police, military, or security, preferable in a health care setting.
- Proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state. (Not required at Navos Hospital)
- BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- First Aid training within 30 days of hire.
