Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.Responsibilities:
- Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:
- Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
- Interviewing patients
- Obtaining vital signs
- Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
- Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
- Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
- Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
- Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:
- Sending and receiving of patient medical records
- Facilitating patient referrals
- Preparing forms for patients
Requirements:
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Current BLS certification

Position Summary
The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) functions independently when utilizing the nursing process and is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating and delegating nursing functions across the lifespan. The RN collaborates with patients, patient families/significant others, Physicians/Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), patient care staff, leadership and community partners.

Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process as a systematic problem-solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the patient.
- Independently triages patients in person, via telephone and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standards.
- Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data.
- Uses assessment and analysis skills in delivering medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs.
- Delegates selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Collaborates with the clinic team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and stewardship.
- Fosters a learning environment for patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
- Advocates for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 25+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
- Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
- Current BLS Certification
- Advanced Life Support certification may be required after hire, depending on assigned clinic site
- Two years of experience as a RN - in a clinic setting preferred
- Candidates with less than two years' experience may be considered for Transition to Practice Program

Position Summary
The Pharmacist is an exciting professional opportunity at MultiCare, ensuring prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services for patients, nurses and physicians. This position will offer you the capacity to apply your knowledge and expertise toward supporting quality health services and patient care.
Responsibilities
- You will dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions
- You will manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records
- You will supervise support personnel and assumes responsibility for final check of all completed work
- You will assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
- You will provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service
Requirements
- Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in setting appropriate to work assignment (hospital, retail, clinic or other)

Responsibilities
- You will dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions
- You will manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records
- You will supervise support personnel and assumes responsibility for final check of all completed work
- You will assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
- You will provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service
Requirements
- Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in setting appropriate to work assignment (hospital, retail, clinic or other)

- Certification in specialty area preferred

This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations.Requirements
- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program
- Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington
- Registry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC required
- Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALS

Position Summary
The Patient Access Technician (PAT) is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for ensuring accurate patient admission and registration. This intermediate-level clerical position will allow you to apply your professional service-orientation, good judgment and independent thinking in your daily work functions.
Responsibilities
- You will assure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to organization policy and procedures and regulatory requirements
- You will obtain inpatient bed assignments and processes inpatient admission, including arm banding, addressograph plate, and completion of necessary forms
- You will pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients and ambulatory patients to facilitate a smooth and speedy admission/registration process
- You will obtain direct admit information and enter a reservation in the computer system in order to notify other areas
- You will complete comprehensive bedside or telephone interviews with the patient, relative, or their representative to obtain pertinent demographic insurance and/or third-party liability information
- You will perform eligibility verification and resolves any discrepancies, determine the need for financial assistance recommendation and application, referring to the Financial Counselor where necessary
Requirements
- Graduate of a health vocational program such as Patient Access, Medical Assistance Medical Billing & Insurance
OR
- One (1) year of experience performing any combination of admitting, Health Unit Coordinator, patient registration, customer service or billing duties required; healthcare setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $23.14 - $35.22 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
