Position Summary

The Security Officer is a key position on our Security Services team. In this role, you provide protection over MultiCare Health System properties and facilities. You will own the responsibility for the security and safety of MultiCare patients, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general security in the protection of people and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct utilizing tactical techniques.
• Utilize Management of Aggressive Behavior skills both verbally and physically as required.
• Apply the concepts of Awareness, Vigilance, Avoidance, Defense, and Escape to effectively protect and serve facility campus.
• Utilize weapons detection devices to monitor patients/visitors and ensuring the removal of contraband from facility.
• Apply appropriate techniques with assistive devices when engaging with combative/aggressive individuals.
• Effectively operate/leverage required security equipment and tools.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current Washington or Idaho state driver’s license (driving is not required for this position at Navos Hospital).
• IAHSS basic certification or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire date.
• Minimum six (6) months of experience in police, military, or security, preferable in a health care setting.
• Proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state. (Not required at Navos Hospital)
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid training within 30 days of hire.

Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist performs a full range of diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with established departmental guidelines. This role utilizes fixed imaging equipment, portable radiography, and fluoroscopic systems to support, trauma imaging, operating room cases, and routine diagnostic exams. The Radiologic Technologist functions as a clinical role model and resource within the hospital, demonstrating the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a broad range of diagnostic radiology exams using fixed, portable, and fluoroscopic imaging equipment
• May support trauma imaging, operating room cases, as well as routine diagnostic studies
• Ensure imaging exams are completed in accordance with established departmental policies and clinical guidelines
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model, working effectively both independently and as part of the care team

Requirements:

• Graduate or eligible for graduation with an AA degree from accredited Imaging program or equivalent
• X-Ray Technician Registration with the State of Washington Department of Health permitted but must transition to Certified Radiologic Technologist with the State of Washington Department of Health within the (3) three months of hiring.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required; If registry is pending, must complete within 6 months from date of hire into this job classification
• BLS Certification

Position Summary

Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Computerized Tomography Technologist (“CT Technologist”) performs CT (Computerized Tomography) examinations of selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the Provider. The CT Technologist is expected to perform a variety of CT procedures with the knowledge and ability of obtaining diagnostic-quality examinations on all ages of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Performance of CT procedures per established protocols.
• Interprets data gathered in assessment and provides care appropriate to age related needs.
• Obtain patient medical history and clinical data for correlation with the imaging study, and enters such data into the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Position and handle patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, tact, courtesy, patience and safety while utilizing supportive and immobilization equipment appropriately.
• Utilize radiation protective shielding for maximum protection of self and patient.
• Critiques images to ensure quality CT examinations consistent with standardized procedures.
• Administer I-Stat testing as appropriate. Documentation of I-Stat results completed in computer system per department protocol.
• Proficient in venipuncture, and administering IV radiopharmaceuticals and/or contrast materials following established department policies and procedures.
• Administer first aid as required and assist in cases of adverse reaction to contrast or other emergencies.
• Measure, calculate and record radiation dosage for radiopharmaceuticals received, used and disposed of, using computer system and following physician’s prescription.
• Upon completion of patient imaging procedure, the technologist will review the images and associated data in PACS for accuracy and assures all images are available for Radiologist dictation.
• Understands and follows the Radioactive Materials License and Standards, including disposing of materials.
• Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains accurate records for Washington State regulatory requirements.
• Understands and follows all safety policies and reports any unsafe conditions or practices to the supervisor/manager, Administration or Safety Coordinator.
• Assume responsibility of self and others for proper and efficient operation of all equipment used. Report equipment problems, malfunctions, and/or need for repairs to supervisor. Maintain cleanliness of equipment for patient safety and/or function.
• Obtains, maintains and utilizes knowledge as is necessary for efficient and effective operational utilization of required computer systems.
• Through attitude and example, demonstrate Memorial’s expectations for customer service and utilizes QA memos for improved service to patients.
• Evaluate and maintain an appropriate level of responsibility for updating job related knowledge and skills level, including applicable Joint Commission requirements, in an effort to increase individual skills and quality patient care.
• During periods of light workload, accept responsibility for working on tasks that better or enhance the department. Check with Supervisor for additional assignments.
• Assist in training and instruction of new department personnel and radiology technology students.
• Utilize supplies and equipment adequately but not excessively.
• Explore opportunities for new equipment and/or new services and then making recommendations to your manager and/or supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

Position Summary

Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Computerized Tomography Technologist (“CT Technologist”) performs CT (Computerized Tomography) examinations of selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the Provider. The CT Technologist is expected to perform a variety of CT procedures with the knowledge and ability of obtaining diagnostic-quality examinations on all ages of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Performance of CT procedures per established protocols.
• Interprets data gathered in assessment and provides care appropriate to age related needs.
• Obtain patient medical history and clinical data for correlation with the imaging study, and enters such data into the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Position and handle patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, tact, courtesy, patience and safety while utilizing supportive and immobilization equipment appropriately.
• Utilize radiation protective shielding for maximum protection of self and patient.
• Critiques images to ensure quality CT examinations consistent with standardized procedures.
• Administer I-Stat testing as appropriate. Documentation of I-Stat results completed in computer system per department protocol.
• Proficient in venipuncture, and administering IV radiopharmaceuticals and/or contrast materials following established department policies and procedures.
• Administer first aid as required and assist in cases of adverse reaction to contrast or other emergencies.
• Measure, calculate and record radiation dosage for radiopharmaceuticals received, used and disposed of, using computer system and following physician’s prescription.
• Upon completion of patient imaging procedure, the technologist will review the images and associated data in PACS for accuracy and assures all images are available for Radiologist dictation.
• Understands and follows the Radioactive Materials License and Standards, including disposing of materials.
• Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains accurate records for Washington State regulatory requirements.
• Understands and follows all safety policies and reports any unsafe conditions or practices to the supervisor/manager, Administration or Safety Coordinator.
• Assume responsibility of self and others for proper and efficient operation of all equipment used. Report equipment problems, malfunctions, and/or need for repairs to supervisor. Maintain cleanliness of equipment for patient safety and/or function.
• Obtains, maintains and utilizes knowledge as is necessary for efficient and effective operational utilization of required computer systems.
• Through attitude and example, demonstrate Memorial’s expectations for customer service and utilizes QA memos for improved service to patients.
• Evaluate and maintain an appropriate level of responsibility for updating job related knowledge and skills level, including applicable Joint Commission requirements, in an effort to increase individual skills and quality patient care.
• During periods of light workload, accept responsibility for working on tasks that better or enhance the department. Check with Supervisor for additional assignments.
• Assist in training and instruction of new department personnel and radiology technology students.
• Utilize supplies and equipment adequately but not excessively.
• Explore opportunities for new equipment and/or new services and then making recommendations to your manager and/or supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned/required.

About the Opportunity

Join a compassionate and collaborative team providing essential psychiatric care to patients in a psychiatric inpatient setting. This unique role offers flexibility and the opportunity to deliver high-quality care to individuals with serious mental illness who otherwise may not have access to psychiatric care.

• Deliver in-person mental health care in a freestanding 70-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital during business hours.

• Average daily caseload of 13 patients. On average, 3-4 new admissions per week.

Position Summary

The inpatient psychiatrist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and directing treatment for adult patients with psychiatric disorders admitted to acute inpatient level of care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients 18 years or older with acute psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient hospitalization
• Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments
• Formulate and implement comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plans
