*Job Duties*
* Perform a series of manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system.
* Evaluate the functioning of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the spine using systems of chiropractic diagnosis.
* Diagnose health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and interpreting x-rays.
* Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
* Advise patients about recommended courses of treatment
* Analyze x-rays in order to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
* Counsel patients about nutrition, exercise, sleeping habits, stress management, and other matters.
* Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken
* Consult with and refer patients to appropriate health practitioners when necessary.
* Suggest and apply the use of supports such as straps, tapes, bandages, and braces if necessary.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Minimum Requirements*
* Pennsylvania Doctor of Chiropractic License
* Additional courses in physical therapy are advantageous
*Additional Skills/Competencies*
* *Medicine* – Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures
* *Customer and Personal Service* – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
* *Therapy and Counseling* – Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
*Physical/Mental Requirements* Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting max. of 20 lbs.

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is a well-established department that sees 75,000+ visits/year as a tertiary referral center for the larger Ochsner Health System. Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon – Ochsner Main Campus, Ochsner Health
Ochsner Main campus has 767 beds and is the leading provider of tertiary and quaternary health care services in the Gulf South. The Surgical ICU has 34 beds and is one of six critical care units in the hospital. Ochsner has an independent Cardiothoracic fellowship that finishes one trainee per year. Ochsner has an independent surgical residency that finishes seven chiefs and trains fellows in Colorectal, Vascular, and Transplant Surgery. Ochsner provides the final two years of clinical training for medical students from the University of Queensland (Australia). Candidates should have an interest in education and participation in clinical research.

As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Patient Services: Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
- Billing Services: Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
- Medical Record Services: Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position may require travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.

- Must be able to transition from sitting to standing frequently. Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time and be physically mobile throughout the workday.
- Frequently lifts to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifts 20 lbs. or more. This occurs when moving equipment and supplies and when transporting patients and/or charts.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
