Job Summary
Located in dynamic Pearland, one of the fastest-growing communities in the country, Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital brings the expertise of the Memorial Hermann Health System close to home. MH Pearland is currently seeking an innovative and collaborative Nurse Manager to lead a 30 bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit. Recently achieved ANCC Magnet designation with Distinction!• 3rd floor – 30 bed unit
• Approximately 60 FTEs
• Caring, Fun, and supportive environment with a strong focus on compassionate and quality patient care.
• Non specialized unit with a wide variety of patients to care for: Cardiac (CHF, MI, Heart Cath patients), Neuro (stroke, seizures), Diabetes, Surgical (orthopedic, general) and more.
• 24 hour hospitalist coverage
This position is responsible for providing leadership to the department. Oversees daily operations, manages and develops departmental staff, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care. Utilizes the nursing process to ensure the delivery of quality care to patients.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of professional nursing required or documented degree plan and timeframe to complete Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- For clinical manager positions in Magnet-designated hospitals or hospitals in pursuit of Magnet designation, a minimum of a BSN is required at the time of hire or promotion
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support
- Professional certification in clinical area or management preferred
- Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Three (3) or more years experience in clinical area of practice; and
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory or management role
- Clinical Manager II: additional two (2) years experience (3 years total) in supervisory or management job
Principal Accountabilities
- Manages the daily operations of a patient care department, including forecasting and ensuring adequate staffing, taking departmental calls, planning for continuity of care, serving in charge nurse role and providing direct patient care as needed.
- Collaborates with physicians, management team members, business partners, and customers to address strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
- Participates in a systemic, interdisciplinary, and ongoing evaluation of programs, process improvement, desired client-centered outcomes, and organizational outcomes.
- Considers the diverse needs of each patient through the entire continuum of care, provides and ensures the highest level of service according to established service standards and optimizes the patient experience.
- Ensures adequate scheduling and staffing, recruits, retains, and develops staff, provides performance feedback, addresses issues as necessary, and provides input into staff performance reviews in a timely effective manner.
- Adheres to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staffs and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; may serve as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

The Business Analyst supports the day-to-day operations of the Health Management team by turning healthcare and operational data into meaningful insights that help drive business decisions. This role partners closely with department leadership to develop reports, dashboards, scorecards, trend analyses, and executive-level presentations while also supporting key projects and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, comfortable working with large and sometimes incomplete datasets, and able to identify trends, investigate problems, and recommend practical solutions. Success in this role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an environment where the answer or path forward may not always be clearly defined. Job Summary
Position responsible for providing sterilized surgical instruments, supplies and equipment to the operating room as well as other areas of the hospital. May function as the lead/charge person for the shift, as needed. Assists in the supervision and training of other personnel utilizing principles of Standard Precautions and utilizing principles of Event Related Sterility.Nights

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Licenses/ Certifications:
Certified by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) required
Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or Surgical Instrument Specialist Certification (CSIS) preferred
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience involving sterilization of instruments, equipment and supplies
Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English language
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to lift and/or maneuver supplies and equipment in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions
Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skills
Demonstrated ability to think critically and apply problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Be able to work in a team environment
Ability to maintain composure and professional demeanor during tense or stressful situations
Sets an example for others and exhibits highly reliable customer service oriented attitude through innovation, accountability, collaboration and compassion
Principal Accountabilities
May function as lead technician/charge person on the shift as needed.
Advanced knowledge of the Sterile Processing department rules, procedures and processes.
Accurately handles and cares for instruments/equipment appropriately, including appropriate selection of cleaning agents, lubricants, examination for function, identification and assembly according to count sheet and preparation for sterilization.
Identifies, documents, and reports equipment and tools in need of repair and ensures maintenance is completed.
Organizes, prepares, assembles, and sterilizes instruments, equipment and supplies according to hospital/medical facility standards of sterilization.
Correctly peel-pack supplies/instruments, wraps instruments for sterilization, and inspects each instrument for use, function, completeness, and cleanliness.
Loads, monitors, operates and maintain different types of cleaning and sterilization equipment and machinery accurately and safely.
Maintains records of all equipment and supplies, ordering of supplies as needed, and monitoring quality control and infection control standards.
Communicate delays, supply, instrumentation and equipment problems, substitutions involving Operating Room and other areas.
Increases knowledge base by accepting more complex assignments regularly.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
