We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and oral health education, with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and electronic health records management. As a Licensed Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality preventive dental services, supporting the clinical team, and fostering a welcoming environment for our patients. Your expertise in dental terminology, equipment, and patient assessment will ensure optimal oral health outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.

*Duties*

* Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
* Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
* *Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR/EHR systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations.*
* Ensure infection prevention measures are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and equipment sterilization.
* Operate dental equipment safely and efficiently while troubleshooting minor technical issues as needed.
* Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry patients, to promote comfort and understanding.
* Support the dental team by managing documentation review, medical coding, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.*Requirements*
* Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice legally.
* Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments.
* Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
* Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures and maintaining radiation safety protocols.
* *Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly about treatment plans and oral health education.*
* Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices to ensure a safe clinical environment.
