This one doesn't.

I'm Dr. Preston Hamrick, owner of Heritage Dentistry. My family has practiced dentistry in South Carolina since 1910. Four generations later, we're still independent. No DSO, no corporate production targets, and nobody pushing you to rush through the person in your chair.

I'm looking for one full-time hygienist who wants enough time, autonomy, and support to practice at the top of their license.

* A 3.5-day clinical week. The rest is yours.

* Paid continuing education that is worth your time. I've invested more than 250 hours at the Kois Center. Around here, continuous learning isn't a benefit we list and forget. It's part of how we practice.
* Longer appointments and real autonomy. If a patient needs more time, take more time. Nobody is going to pull you aside afterward.

* Guided biofilm therapy that is better for patients and kinder to your hands, wrists, and shoulders.
* Salivary diagnostics and whole-body health conversations with a doctor who wants you having them.
* Periodontal therapy you genuinely own. You assess, treat, educate, and help patients understand what is happening.

Our patients don't write reviews thanking "the hygienist." They use her name.

That happens when you have enough time to know your patients, do work you're proud of, and stay long enough to become part of their lives. If you've ever felt like the invisible half of the appointment, you'll notice the difference here quickly.

You like to move fast and stay on the surface. Many of our patients avoided dentistry for years before finding us. Rebuilding their health, and sometimes their trust, requires patience, curiosity, and genuine human connection.

If that sounds tedious, we would probably make each other miserable. But if you became a hygienist to do more than clear a column, I'd like to meet you.
