1st shift hours (0700-1500) with rotating weekends. This position will be in a parking structure or booth.
Pay Range:
$19.80 - $29.70Major Responsibilities:- Conducts regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure the safety and security of the property. Inspects exit doors, offices, storerooms, and departments for security and the absence of fire or other hazards. Monitors and reports suspicious activity on hospital property and surrounding area.
- May be assigned to a stationary post location within the facility to offer a visible deterrent in a designated area for visitor control.
- Assists patients and visitors by providing information and directions in the facility.
- Performs routine lost and found pick-ups as needed.
- Performs foot patrol of various parking lots ensuring adherence to parking policy. May assist in the coordination and monitoring of Contracted Security, specific to parking.
- Facilitates the issuance of police citations and/or towing services as needed. Issues necessary parking violations notices as required. Maintains database of violations on a 12-month sliding scale.
- Ensures traffic control, monitors conduct of visitors on premises and reports safety hazards and security vulnerabilities to LPS Sergeant.
- In extreme cases of need, the security aide may be required to perform a medical standby in cases that do not rise to the level of needing a security officer.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- A valid drivers license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in public contact.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment and sound reasoning while maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor in dealing with employees, visitors and patients.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including off-shifts, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to walk and stand 90% of the shift.
- Ability to withstand exposure to seasonal climate and appropriately dress for conditions.
- Must have functional use of speech, vision, and hearing along with the manual dexterity to write parking citations, take notes, etc., while standing or walking.
- Potential for exposure to vehicle fumes on occasion.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
In a Home Health setting, team members must be able to operate personal vehicle and possess a valid driver's license. Auto insurance coverage is also required to be active and maintained.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral or BUMG, BUMCT in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire. Employees working at BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. 4. Acts as Super user for all Coding-related Electronic Medical Record Systems necessary for complete an accurate coding and EMR Data Governance. Updates policies and procedures for those areas of responsibility. In-services appropriate staff regarding changes in these areas.
5. Develops and maintains coding related policies, procedures, query development, work queues and training materials in conjunction with management.
7. Continually communicates with Coding Staff, Medical Staff, Physician Advisor, Department Chairman, and Department Administrators.
8. Organizes, facilitates, performs, tracks, trends, and reports on internal quality reviews.
9. Designs and uses audit tools (i.e ROC) to monitor the accuracy of coding, documentation gaps, and billing performed by Coding Specialists.
10. Coordinates audits performed by outside agencies by obtaining accounts to be reviewed, acting as a liaison between agency and HIM personnel to gather data to be reviewed, facilitating exit conferences with Coding Specialists, and providing final reports to Coding Manager. (Includes, but not limited to, HIA quarterly audits, ROC Compass audits, etc.)
11. Coordinates coding/documentation denial reviews and facilitates appeal letter formation. Includes, but not limited to, RAC denials, insurance/3rd party payor denials, etc.
12. Communicates regularly with the Coding Leadership on activities, problems, coding and/or documentation issues and pending audits.
13. Ensures audit (external and internal) recommendations are completed (i.e. coding education, coding changes, rebills).
14. Extracts and analyzes from various sources then develops action plan when necessary.
15. Assist with on-boarding of new Coding Specialists in regard to coding/quality related policies, audits and initiatives.
16. Updates Coding Specialists on compliance and other regulatory changes.
17. Keeps abreast of coding changes, state and federal regulations and coding resources (i.e. Coding Clinic)
18. If needed this position could be responsible for development and design of the curriculum for the WVU Healthcare Coding Certificate Program, as well as other special projects regarding the overall Data Governance of the EMR to enhance coding. Utilizes all necessary systems as part of curriculum and educational courses and administers exams. Involvement with testing and installation of system upgrades when necessary to assure curriculum is up-to-date.

- Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Levine Children's Jeff Gordon Children’s Center is a 28-bed pediatric unit located at Atrium Health Cabarrus, caring for patients from infancy through 17 years of age. We are a general pediatric unit with the capability to provide high-acuity progressive care, giving nurses the opportunity to gain broad clinical experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
LCH-JGCC is proud to house the only dedicated pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit in the Advocate Health Enterprise. Our 8-bed unit is nationally accredited as a Level 3 NAEC (National Association of Epilepsy Centers) facility, delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to children with complex seizure disorders.
Beyond inpatient services, our unit features a specialized outpatient area that enhances continuity of care. This space supports:
• Non-oncologic infusions

• Endocrinology testing
• Lab draws and weight checks for discharged newborns

This position would primarily support an infusion nurse workflow with future cross training to team required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out from their appointment and coordinating specialist appointments for patients
Collects patient balances, copays, and credit cards at time of service
Reviews lists of patients who need appointments and calls to schedule when due
Verifies demographics and insurance carrier information for every patient
Assists patients with Kiosk sign in
Complies with OSHA and DOH standards
Schedules, coordinates, and tracks STAT patient referrals and pre-authorizations
Adheres to Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care guidelines for protecting patients’ demographic, clinical and financial information
Provides superior customer service and outstanding patient care
Attends meetings/workshops as they relate to current position and office workflows
Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
High school diploma required. Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology required. Must be very organized. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of patients and families.
EXPERIENCE:
Six months' experience in a medical office.

The Hospice RN Charge Nurse provides clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality hospice care. This role coordinates patient care, supports and mentors clinical staff, manages daily staffing and resource allocation, and serves as a key liaison among patients, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team. The Charge Nurse promotes clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and accountability while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Unit Specific Certification as required (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).
- Experience in assigned clinical area.
- Mentoring experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified). Registered Nurses (RNs) hired or promoted into this role must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of their hire or promotion date. If there is an existing education agreement, that agreement will take precedence.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of clinical nursing experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
