We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate Hospice Administrative Coordinator to support our clinical and administrative operations. This vital role is responsible for coordinating schedules for our Hospice Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) while providing general administrative support to ensure excellent patient care and efficient office operations.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and is passionate about supporting a team dedicated to providing exceptional end-of-life care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Staff Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop, maintain, and adjust daily schedules for Hospice Aides and LPNs.
- Coordinate staffing assignments to ensure patient care needs are met efficiently.
- Communicate schedule changes, call-offs, and coverage needs with clinical staff and supervisors.
Administrative Support
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally and courteously.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient and staffing records.
- Prepare, organize, and file documents in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with processing paperwork, reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Support communication among patients, families, clinical staff, and external partners
Customer Service
- • Serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for patients, families, and staff.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality when handling patient and employee information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience; healthcare experience preferred.
- Previous scheduling or staffing coordination experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Pay Range: $19.20- $25.58
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Summary:
The Patient Financial Services Representative (PFSR) serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and guarantors in the hospital, ambulatory or medical office setting. The PFSR engages with the patient or guarantor to obtain pertinent information and answer any questions in an effort to ensure that all required demographic, financial, and insurance eligibility information is gathered and verified. Ensures all required notices and consent forms are signed accordingly.
Responsibilities:
Obtains pre-certification and authorization.Provides exceptional customer service and ensures all questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and courteous manner. May guide the patient to appropriate destination for services.Collects patient out-of-pocket responsibility per collection guidelines. Provides patient estimates as requested. Prepares and balances a daily deposit of all payment collections.May schedule walk-in appointments for services offered.May confirm physician and prescription orders ensuring accuracy.Interviews patients and guarantors at the workstation or bedside to obtain all necessary information, including a copy of the patient or guarantor identification card.May perform patient discharge functions including, but not limited to, review of after visit summary (AVS), future appointment scheduling, and referrals.Explains polices including all regulatory and financial consent forms; secures all required signatures.Verifies insurance benefits including obtaining insurance card(s) and confirms coverage is active. Determines correct insurance filing order, if multiple insurance coverages are effective for that service.

The Pharmacy Medication Assistance Coordinator collaborates with patients, patient financial advisors (PFA), and other healthcare professionals in designated ambulatory areas to provide comprehensive financial advocacy that assists patients and reduces negative financial impact on the organization. This position serves as an expert resource to pursue medication assistance that includes managing a patient’s experience with copay assistance and free drug programs. The Pharmacy Medication Assistance Coordinator must demonstrate excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills. Serves as a role model and facilitates a professional customer-focused approach. Provides excellent customer service to communicate application needs with patients. Follows the enterrpise financial clearance and financial assistance policy and procedures. Maintains productivity, quality and customer service requirements according to department policy and procedure.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Coordinates pharmacy activities for defined areas of responsibility within the department. This may include, but is not limited to activities such as regulatory compliance, automation, medication access, sterile and non-sterile compounding, use and maintenance of equipment, and coordination of daily work.
- Uses knowledge of state and federal laws to ensure areas of responsibility are compliant with regulations impacting the practice of pharmacy
- Participates in the orientation, education, and coordination of training for pharmacy employees, residents, students, and staff.

17. Patient trays are collected and returned to the kitchen within a reasonable timeframe.
18. While waiting for trays, assists the room service assembly line as needed, wrap silverware or help in dishroom.
19. Follows procedures for phone and iPad use.

2. Verifies insurance eligibility benefits for services rendered with the payors and documents appropriately. Assists in obtaining or validating pre-certification, referrals, and authorizations

7. Assists in responding to requests for patient medical records according to company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws.
8. Provides a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow including but not limited to escorting patients, taking vitals and patient history, assisting in patient treatment, distributing mail and fax information, ordering supplies, etc.
9. Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Position Purpose:
The Food Service Operations Rep assembles, prepares, serves, and delivers trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors and other customers or clients.
As a “Food Service Operations Rep” you will:
Attends to patient, nursing and/or other customer food service and related requests, needs or requirements in a friendly, cheerful, patient and customer-focused manner.
Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
Assists in the sanitation of the entirety of the department including, but not limited to pots, dish room, trash, floors and special cleaning as assigned.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent four years of work-related experience.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
Ability to use common sense in carrying out written and oral instructions and solving problems.
Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.
Pay Range: $17.65 - $21.63
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Under the direction of the appropriate licensed clinician, the Patient Care Technician I performs a variety of patient care activities. Receives workplace education and training to assist members of the healthcare team in the care of patients.I. Major Responsibilities:

4. Assists patient with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, ambulating, meals and nourishment.
5. Assists in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients by utilizing proper safety techniques and body mechanics in all work-related activities.
6. Maintains patient safety by performing patient safety checks, utilizing fall prevention alternative devices/strategies as directed, and following the Restraint Policy standards when caring for a restrained patient.
7. Takes and records vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure and pulse oxymetry). Measures and records patients’ weights and heights.
8. Performs EKG’s, Point of Care (POC) tests and bladder scanning. Collects, labels and prepares specimens for transport to lab.
9. Performs other selected unit specific procedures, such as battery changes for telemetry units, checking status of unit equipment, cleaning equipment between patients and proper storage of supplies.
10. Assists RN/Licensed Independent Practitioner with treatments and procedures by preparing patient, obtaining equipment and supplies, helping to position patient, providing the patient with emotional support, and cleaning up equipment and supplies following the treatment and/or procedure.
11. Observes, measures, records oral food and fluid intake. Refills tube feeding bags as directed. Empties and records output, as approved, from a variety of sources, e.g., foley catheter, ostomy appliances and drainage systems. Performs ostomy care on established ostomate patients as directed.
12. Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to patients’ needs by acting as a source of information and approaches all interactions with the intention of building positive rapport and relationships.
13. Provides respectful, culturally and age-appropriate communication with patients, staff, family, visitors and others.

15. Requests assistance from identified resources when more direction is needed.

This 16-bed intensive care unit provides care to surgical patients and neurosurgical and medical patients with complex needs that require critical care modalities and interventions, and epilepsy monitoring.
All intensive care units are staffed with Intensivists, Registered Nurses, and Health Unit Coordinators. Staff receive support from multidisciplinary team including but not limited to stroke coordinator and neurosurgery team.
SICU/NCCU is an AACN recognized Beacon Unit.
General Summary:
Using the Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance and applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates fundamental patient/family information to health care team. Identifies and communicates variances from patient goals. Responsible for providing and coordinating interdisciplinary patient care utilizing the nursing process.
