This job assumes responsibility for and leads the daily operations of mobile blood bank personnel and processes; and performs quality control, operates computer, and other administrative duties per instruction of Supervisor. Maintains donor/patient/employee confidentiality; assumes responsibility for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of work activities; provides leadership and coordinates the resources of the mobile drive to achieve quality customer satisfaction, and will implement policies and procedures required for success. Supervises initiatives to improve processes, maximize efficiency, and serve internal and external customers, and maintain high employee morale. Performs all duties of a Blood Bank Tech and oversees donor reaction care by all staff, handles emergent donor reaction care, and ensures all donor reaction documentation and follow-up action is completed.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required - 5 years experience in a healthcare-related field
Preferred - Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity
Certifications
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Required - Current Driver's License in the state of practice. Must have an excellent driving record to operate company owned vehicles.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively and professionally work with people from all backgrounds.
Ability to work with and experience working with others plus the aptitude to be cross-trained in several disciplines, the ability to follow written/oral instructions and to follow established policies and procedures.

Ability to work under stress and around normal conditions that exist at blood drives.
Ability to provide leadership to employees within established customer service statistics and make improvement recommendations.

Analytical skills necessary in order to perform calculations, operate donor collection equipment, computers and printers.

Ability to travel throughout and between facilities, and mobile locations.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue.
The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.

Shift Details: Full-Time (40hrs/wk). Monday to Friday PRN with rotating weekend coverage. On-call Sunday when covering weekends.
Essential Functions
- Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals with specialized health conditions and or in specialized populations.
- Uses the Nutrition Care Process to facilitate the provision of more complex nutrition care with moderate autonomy and supportive guidance from advanced practice dietitians.
- Uses advanced counseling techniques to influence behavior change.
- Uses technology in estimating needs and nutrition goals (ex: indirect calorimetry, nutrient analysis software, glucometers, etc.)
- Mentors newly graduated dietitians, dietetic interns, and clinical diet techs.
- Applies research to improve patient outcomes. Implements the latest evidence-based care with the interdisciplinary team and in updating care practices/processes within the facility.
- Manages nutrition care across the continuum including durable medical equipment order writing.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist order writing privileges per policy/protocol.

Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- For graduates after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a minimum of a master’s degree by an accredited university. Education is verified.
- Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level competency-based dietitian nutritionist program.
- State licensure or certification in accordance with the primary state of practice requirement for Registered Dietitians. If the primary state of practice requires licensure or certification, this must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the Nutrition Care Process in multiple patient populations and/or disease types.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply evidence-based research to clinical practice.
- 2 or more years of dietetics experience in a clinical setting, preferred.
- Experience in managing patients in a specialty area, preferred.
- Relevant dietetics-related specialty practice credential (CNSC, CSP, CDCES, CSO, CSR, CSOWM, etc.), preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

- Has knowledge of which rules, forms and questions must be enforced to make sure Advocate Health remains compliant with government agencies and regulations. Our nurses play a vital role in delivering holistic care, from daily living activities and medication administration to advanced procedures like tracheostomy and ventilator care, all while educating and supporting patients, families, and caregivers.
Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has taken the community to another level of service to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 259 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high acuity patients as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 different pediatric specialties. Job Description
Responsible for the direct provision of patient care and for assisting the manager with daily operations to include but not limited to coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development, and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. 7. Maintains working knowledge of current hospital and lab administrative and safety policies/ procedures as well as the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) if applicable, and applies these policies consistently and seeks management guidance when needed.
8. Responds, researches, and answers to customer inquiries and performs as variety of duties related to customer service in accordance with hospital and laboratory policies and procedures. Monitors customer service activities and day-to-day Specimen Processing and/or Phlebotomy activities to identify potential problems and provide possible solutions.
9. Requests input and direction, as needed, from the Medical Director(s), Administrative Director, and/or Manager(s) regarding medical and technical issues, employee training, quality assurance and quality control procedures.
10. Organizes time, materials and resources in an economical manner, prioritizing laboratory requests by assessing and adjusting workload and staffing to provide for optimal patient care and efficiency.
11. Participates in various activities (i.e., staff meetings, in-services, etc.) to disseminate information to laboratory staff, allied health personnel, Medical Director(s), physicians and nurses by written and/or verbal means.
12. Maintains laboratory communication and ensures that information concerning new policies and procedures is available to staff in a timely manner and is incorporated into routine policies and procedures.
13. Reviews and evaluates, as needed, quality control records and test results to determine analytical errors, shifts and trends and correlates data to assure quality patient test results.
14. Assists in organizing time, materials and resources in an economical manner, and prioritizing laboratory requests by assessing and arranging workload throughout all laboratory sections within the division to provide for optimal patient care and efficiency.
15. Assures daily completeness of all workload within established turnaround times by flexing organization of work according to test ordering status (e.g., routine, STAT, ASAP, emergency), and by reviewing pending test results (e.g., daily monitoring, turnaround studies).
16. Initiates effective communication with supervisory personnel and all other laboratory personnel, other hospital departments and patient/public, as necessary to assure dissemination of information and the identification/resolution of problems in support of the hospital’s mission of patient care.
17. May participate in the technical and theoretical instruction, supervision and evaluation of residents and students of the School of Medicine, as established by laboratory policies (e.g., laboratory objectives, evaluation forms).

The 8th floor Med/Surg specializes in caring for a variety of both medical and surgical patients. We provide inpatient care to patients with multiple diagnoses including sepsis, diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiac-tele monitored, infectious, kidney, and liver diseases. We also offer surgical care for pre/ post orthopedic surgeries, general surgeries such as bowel resections/ ostomies, pre/post laparoscopic procedure, bladder surgeries, and plastics. Caregivers utilize the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

1. Obtains and records appropriate patient clinical information and/or history; verifies physician assessment of each patient, making adjustments in the standard imaging procedures and techniques to accommodate patient size, age, or condition using Universal Protocol
2. Assists, transfers, and positions patients as needed, ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as needed; selects equipment scan parameters appropriate to examination and patient condition
3. Processes and records scanned images per Radiologist protocol to ensure quality and accuracy. Reviews scans with Radiologists as requested. Accurately documents work in HIS/RIS/PACS systems.
4. Checks operation of equipment, sees that Q.A and maintenance schedules are adhered to; maintains cleanliness of tables and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, keeps rooms well stocked with linen and necessary supplies
5. Keeps up to date with changes in the field of ultrasonography by inservice study, attending courses or seminars as necessary and/or recommended, or participating in professional organizations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participates in day-to-day operations of the program including patient education and call triage
2. Participates in program evaluation and development of strategic goals consistent with DFCI’s mission and professional values.
3. Participates in the QA/QI projects for the program.
4. Supports the research activities of the program.
5. Exhibits professional commitment through individual integrity, honesty and accountability to self and others
6. Delivers expert clinical care through evidenced-based practice partnerships with patients, families and colleagues.
A. Assumes nursing care responsibilities for a defined group of patients within the program, including but not limited to assessment, education, coordination, and documentation.
1. Facilitates individualized care within the context of functional status, cultural consideration, health literacy, psychosocial, reproductive/fertility, and spiritual needs for patients, families and caregivers.
2. Supports a smooth transition of patients from active treatment into survivorship, chronic cancer management, or end-of-life care.
3. Assists patients with cancer with issues related to treatment goals, advanced directives, palliative care, and end-of-life concerns using an ethical framework that is nonjudgmental and nondiscriminatory.
4. Acts as a liaison between the patients, families, and caregivers and the providers to optimize outcomes.
5. Advocates for patients to promote patient centered care that includes shared decision making and patient goals of care with optimal outcomes.
6. Provides psychosocial support to and facilitates appropriate referrals for patients, families and caregivers.
7. Contributes to ONN program and role development, implementation, and evaluation within the healthcare system and community.
8. Participates in the tracking and monitoring of metrics and outcomes, in collaboration with administration, to document and evaluate outcomes of the navigation program.
9. Functions as the primary nursing contact for care delivered within the physician practice setting.
10. Engages in collaborative decision making, utilizing available data expertise and wisdom of the collective.
11. Manages patient care across the continuum, including new patient calls, and making appropriate referrals as necessary.
12. Works collaboratively and functions as an effective member of the health care team.
13. Monitors the environment of care with attention to patient safety, and assures compliance with regulatory agency standards.
14. Maintains clinical practice that is evidence-based and consistent with nursing policies, procedures and standards.
15. Provides care based on age-specific needs of the patient.
16. Adheres to the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements (ANA, 2001) in all aspects of professional practice.
17. Complies with accepted standards of professional nursing practice that is evidence- based and consistent with policy, and procedures determined by DFCI as well as with all licensure/registration requirements applicable to the nursing role.
18. Fosters an environment that is sensitive to the needs of diverse populations, including but not limited to culture, ethnicity, gender, and age.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree, Nursing. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing strongly preferred. If Associate Degree in Nursing, must complete BSN degree within 4 years. Experience: Completion of the Oncology Nurse Residency Program (ONRP) or 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse. Ambulatory and/or oncology experience preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Required:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or State of New Hampshire as appropriate required. AHA BLS required (AHA ACLS accepted as minimum requirement). Professional nursing certification preferred (OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, RN-BC).

Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Paramedic will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.
This Paramedic position will be working in our Trauma II Emergency Department at Mount Carmel East on mid-shift three 12-hour shifts per week from 10am - 10:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
What You Will Do:
Initiates respiratory interventions including oxygen therapy and assistance with preparation for intubation per physician order or protocol
Initiates and discontinues intravenous lines and intraosseous (IO) access as requested by the physician, including use of the ultrasound machine
Interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates appropriate treatment (CPR/defibrillation)
Transports and monitors stable telemetry and non-telemetry patients
Maintains professional radio communication with incoming EMS units
Performs patient care activities as appropriately delegated by the RN in a timely manner
Performs treatments and procedures according to approved standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Verifies and implements physician/other licensed independent practitioner’s orders.
Administers medications, according to the organization’s standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
Initiates appropriate emergency procedures within the scope of practice under the direction of the physician/other LIP.
Practices proper patient identification procedures. Maintains equipment appropriate to the care environment.
Establishes priorities for the delivery of care and meets patient needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
