Pay Range:
$21.85 - $36.15Major Responsibilities:
- Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice, follows all policies and procedures, and maintains training and competency based on area of specialty when providing patient care.
- Performs rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, and screenings (depression, suicide, falls, social drivers of health, etc.).
- Assists provider with or performs procedures as ordered.
- Performs lab related duties such as venipuncture, specimen collection/labeling/packing, preparation of lab orders/requisitions, and results tracking. Point of Care testing (POCT) per standing order/provider order. Completes Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved waived laboratory tests and practice-specific diagnostic testing in adherence to CLIA standards.
- Administers medications and vaccines safely following the rights of medication administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned such as medication refills, insurance authorizations, safety/regulatory log completion, patient messaging, medication/supply ordering, appointment scheduling, and referrals.
- Cross trained to perform duties that are relevant to specialty or clinic practice within the scope of the Medical Assistant.
- Demonstrates effective and timely communication, teamwork, and appropriate escalation.
- Maintains a clean work environment ensuring instruments and equipment are cleaned appropriately. Ensures equipment and supplies are in working order, and areas are appropriately stocked.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Greater Charlotte:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or may have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.
IL/WI Divisions:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
Wake Forest:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or may have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.
Floyd & Navicent:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
Certification / License

- Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills, within the Medical Assistant scope of practice after demonstrated competency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, team members and physicians.
- Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.
- Demonstrates customer service skills that support a positive patient experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available.
- Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case- by -case basis.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.
- Will be exposed to the following hazards on a frequent basis: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids. Will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Assistspatient in preparation for exam,provides basic instruction to patientsregardingroutine procedures, transports patientsbetween exam rooms/departments and escorts patients, families, and visitors if department needsrequire.
Usesradiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain pertinent patient informationas needed.
Organizesand prepares exam rooms and work areas, including cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, andmaintainingequipment, based on departmentneed.
Greets patients and visitors and responds to routine requests for information,reportsor film loans. Promptlyanswers telephone,screenscalls, schedules patient appointments, and takes messages, if department needsrequire.
Acts as a liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
Provides radiology reports and/or radiographic images to staff, physicians,patientsand/or family upon request. Files, retrieves, and releases health information records and films. Compiles film jackets/discs and completes required forms/documentation.
Documents requested information and promptlycommunicatesobservations, concerns, and needs of the patient with physicians and other members of the health care team.
Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment using appropriatetechniquewhen cleaning,sterilizingand caring for instruments and otherequipment, based on departmentneed.
Assistswith the screening and documentation of MRI implants based on departmentneed.

8. Explain insurance coverage guidelines with customer/referral sources and arrange payment of non-covered items.

Principal Accountabilities

Supervises assistants and rehabilitation technicians with regards to patient care. Motivates and instructs patients/caregivers using appropriate methods.
Communicates effectively with staff, patients/caregivers and professional colleagues to include physicians and insurance companies.
Manages time effectively.
Documents appropriately in the medical record and completes other documentation duties accurately and efficiently.
Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and clinical instructor to staff, students, hospital, schools and/or the community in general.
Actively pursues clinical expertise in specific treatment techniques or management of a particular patient population.
Actively participates in organized system/facility/departmental committees and taskforces.
Present education/in-services/journal reviews to colleagues, peers, and/or the community.
Presents relevant special topics in professional literature at clinic meetings, grand rounds, conferences, university settings and meetings as delegated or requested by the faculty.

What You'll Do:
- Acts as a point of contact for providers and staff with any patient scheduling questions or concerns.
- Obtains insurance verification and secures authorization required for services provided at the Cancer Center.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule office and infusion appointments.
- Port placement with interventional radiology
- Chemo and direct admits with Providers.
- Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
- Schedules research patient per research protocol.
- Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
General Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Efficiently requisitions, inspects, prepares, cooks, cools and portions large and small quantities of meats, vegetables, cereals, soups, fruits and other forms of food in accordance with quality standards, quantity demands and standardized recipes.
· Recommends recipes, menus and changes in recipes and cooking methods to improve quality of food; forecast specific quantities of menu items to be produced; maintains necessary food production records.

· Processes food for storage and cooling following regulatory codes.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas. Works as a member of the environmental service team to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of patients, visitors and staff by helping to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment with minimal interference to others.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a variety of assigned cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures. Must plan the completion of these tasks daily.
2. Empties hampers and transports of soiled linen. Empties trash containers and removes all trash. Empties all medical waste containers, including sharps.
3. Inventories, restocks and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etcetera, located in all assigned areas of the facility.
4. Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and notifies appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary. Protects equipment from damage by proper use; properly logs out and in equipment that has been used.
5. May perform special projects such as: windows washing, wall washing, removing heavily soiled items or furnishings.
6. Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors. Meets or exceeds goals for customer service satisfaction.

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Orthopaedics seek a total joint reconstruction surgeon qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of orthopaedic joint reconstruction surgery. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Interest and success in scholarly research is expected.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Candidates must have completed orthopaedic surgery residency program and joint reconstruction surgery fellowship program and be board certified/eligible in orthopaedic surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Our Department of Orthopaedics has approximately 40 full time faculty in all sub-specialty areas of Orthopaedics, including spine, total joint replacement, sports medicine, foot and ankle, hand, pediatrics, trauma, musculoskeletal oncology, and basic science. Our faculty are fellowship trained and respected nationally, but we emphasize more than surgical expertise - our mission is to set the standard in orthopaedic care. Practice Support Assistant Full Time, 40hrs/week- Bronson Family Medicine -VicksburgThe Practice Support Assistant performs various duties including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling, patient check-in, preparing and retrieving files, and directing telephone calls. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-6 months of related experience required.
- Previous experience working with medical insurance highly preferred.
- Must have keyboarding and computer skills, the ability to file accurately, possess professional communication and excellent customer service skills and be able to perform other light clerical duties as assigned
- Previous computer experience including hospital-based programs (i.e., Medic/Misys/Tiger or other practice management system) preferred
- Proficient in ability to organize, alphabetize, and file and prioritize multiple tasks

- Registers patients/customers and confirms patient/guarantor demographic and insurance information.
- Completes all required fields in practice management system
- Determines patient co-payments (utilizing electronic insurance verification system) and collects payments on amounts due (current and past).
- Enter charges/payments into MISYS/Tiger system (or other practice management system).
- Prepares encounter form(s) for charge entry for services rendered using the correct ICD-9 and CPT codes as they relate to Codescan.
- Schedules and coordinates patient appointments, tests, and referrals according to office/provider preferences and the needs of patients.
- Answers telephones, takes messages, routes callers, and provides/relays information in a manner consistent with service standards.
- Maintains patient medical records according to current required standards.
- Obtains patient authorization for transfer of any/all private health information.
- Maintains patient confidentiality of data and information.
- Performs basic office duties such as sorting/distributing mail, copying, filing, faxing, ordering supplies, and completing forms, as needed.
- Performs basic composition of letters and reports. Formats, types and proofreads standard correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Maintains a clean unit environment/work area and communicates any equipment malfunction/problem to appropriate personnel.
- Maintains accountability for special projects as assigned.
- Performs such individual assignments as management may direct. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the organization.
- Engages in continuous study to maintain the competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Completes required training and education, including department specific requirements.
- Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensures that patients, their families, visitors, customers, and employees are treated with kindness and respect. Demonstrates teamwork and integrity in all work related activities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of hospital safety and infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Maintain provider schedules, including meetings, appointments, cancellations, re-schedules, add-on appointments, etc.
- Print Physician daily schedules.
- Run reports from MISYS/Tiger system (e.g., charge summary, missing ticket, etc.).
- Prepare deposit, completing daily deposit verification form, and verifying accuracy of deposit.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the physician or practice manager/office supervisor.
- Maintains unsupervised access to the unit medication room(s) for stocking and/or retrieving supplies.
Practice Centralized Services: Additional duties may include; department focuses on demographic and insurance entry for all clinical patients, reviews accounts for missing and inaccurate information and communicates with office staff at each location to ensure accurate registration for patients who are new to Bronson, who have not been seen in over a year, have an account that raises a flag, has inactive insurance or is marked as an auto/workers comp

This position performs all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas. Works as a member of the environmental service team to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of patients, visitors and staff by helping to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment with minimal interference to others.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a variety of assigned cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures. Must plan the completion of these tasks daily.
2. Empties hampers and transports of soiled linen. Empties trash containers and removes all trash. Empties all medical waste containers, including sharps.
3. Inventories, restocks and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etcetera, located in all assigned areas of the facility.
4. Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and notifies appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary. Protects equipment from damage by proper use; properly logs out and in equipment that has been used.
5. May perform special projects such as: windows washing, wall washing, removing heavily soiled items or furnishings.
6. Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors. Meets or exceeds goals for customer service satisfaction.
7. Under regular supervision, this position has responsibility at an assigned facility/area only. Internal customers include facility staff, physicians, nurses, patients, visitors, supervisors, managers, and executives. External customers include visitors, patients, and employees from other company and non-company facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision. Must be able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions. Join the Continuous Monitoring Unit (CMU) as a Telemetry Monitor Technician! Located at 79 Plain Street in Providence, RI, this night position is full-time at 36 hours per week.
The Telemetry Monitor Technician at Brown University Health is responsible for the continuous observation, analysis, and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. Collaborates with health care team to initiate, monitor, and communicate findings during telemetry monitoring patients at risk of harm due to medical conditions. This role supports high-quality, patient-centered care by promptly recognizing and identifying changes in cardiac rhythms or patient status and communicating the changes to the clinical team. Initiates code and rapid response teams for patients at risk of death or serious harm. The telemetry monitor technician ensures patient safety and operational excellence. The Telemetry Monitor Technician maintains accurate documentation, contributes to efficient workflows, and maintains inventory of equipment including storage, cleaning, troubleshooting and associated telemetry needs. The Monitor Technician demonstrates a commitment to patient centered care, safety, quality, and service excellence. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for understanding patient information related to current cardiac rhythm status and applicable vital signs, optimal cardiac rhythm status and vital signs, and prior variances/alarms.

Continuously monitors patient telemetry including cardiac rhythms, blood pressure, SpO2 reading, respiratory rate, Co2 level and additional vital signs depending on acuity level.
Obtains, interprets, and accurately documents rhythm strips as determined by policy, orders, or the healthcare team and with changes in patient condition.
Recognizes, documents, and communicates changes or abnormalities promptly to healthcare team including cardiac rhythms and/or applicable vital signs being monitored.
Provide timely communication of monitoring data and summaries to the healthcare team
Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
Perform all responsibilities in alignment with organizational values, policies, regulatory requirements, and standards of care.
Admits, transfers, and discharges patients and enters all required information in the telemetry monitoring system.
Acts as preceptor and mentor to new monitor technicians.
Performs other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
