Summary:
Performs diversified duties necessary to and involving the maintenance, filing, distribution and issuing of radiology CDs/ images and reports.
Responsibilities:
Performs daily inspections on radiologist reading workstations. Escalates any findings with Radiology IT services for resolution.Greets patients, verifies prescriptions with providers, schedules patients as needed. Answers department and reading room phones directing callers and providing follow up as needed.Management and distribution of patient radiology related imaging and PHI. Prepares and distributes patient records including original film, digital images burned to CD or DVD, electronic receiving and release of images.Communicates findings of Imaging exams to various caregivers, including verifying the transmission of critical findings.Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.Creates electronic files for release of information to authorized individuals, including legal requests received via subpoena, using properly executed forms.Manages electronic Imaging exam for timely interpretation, oversees interpretation workflow for Interpreting physicians. Performs audits for any exams pending final interpretation/ results, or any electronic files incorrectly stored.

Summary:
Under general supervision, understands and provides technical knowledge and the ability to test, repair and maintain mid-level/complex medical devices. Equipment also includes electronic test equipment and various types of medical equipment. Testing will be done in our facility and will involve staff interaction. Supports and maintains Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) safe Environment of Care.
Responsibilities:
Repairs and maintains mid-level/complex medical devices by adjusting, calibrating, testing and documenting equipment performance.Writes, reviews, and executes testing procedures on medical devices, ensuring compliance to codes and following manufacturer’s instructions.Thoroughly documents preventive maintenance and equipment repairs into the CMMS system in a timely and consistent manner. Analyzes data and processes for opportunities for improvement. Works in cross departmental teams to identify opportunities for improvement in practice and policy.Maintains appropriate equipment inventories and equipment sterilization.Serve as project manager for low complexity projects.Provide training and mentoring to Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) I staff.

Major Responsibilities:
- Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation which may include use of therapeutic assistive devices, proper positioning, range of motion and special transferring as indicated.
- Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

This position is responsible for overseeing inventory management activities for assigned departments or clinical programs. We are an AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered surgical care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Our multispecialty center performs a wide range of procedures, including:

Hours are: M-F 630-5, hours may vary depending on surgery schedule
Pay Range:
$24.10 - $36.15Essential Functions:
Possesses a thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure.
Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
Assists Registered Nurse circulator in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments, equipment and proper disposition of all specimens; assists with all aspects of room turnover.
Performs duties according to department policy and procedure.
Monitors surgical supplies and instrumentation for sterility prior to use and ensures that supplies are used in a judicious manner, charges are documented/submitted accurately and appropriately.
Monitors and documents sterilization activities for completion.
Attends in-services/staff meetings; exhibits knowledge of current department related issues and participates in Performance Improvement Process.
Participates in educational opportunities to increase competency and meet personal needs and goals.
Assists in the development of policies, procedures, and standards.
May serve as a preceptor and a clinical resource to others.
Assists in maintenance and completion of individual specified unit clinical projects as needed.
Physical Requirements
Works with occasional intermittent noise and exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and chemicals.
Ability to communication and write.
Strenuous physical effort will require walking, stretching, bending, climbing stairs, twisting, and squatting or kneeling while performing tasks.
May have lengthy periods of standing.
Requires frequent use of side vision, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.
Use of both hands and all fingers and is required to use hands for gripping, speed work and precision during the operation equipment/instruments and movement/positioning of surgical patients.
Vision and hearing for distances of up to twenty 20 feet is required, depth perception and able to distinguish basic colors isrequired.
Ability to work for lengthy, or irregular work hours, rotating shifts, working on hard surfaces, being near moving equipment, changes in temperature, humidity, and exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens.
Education, Training, and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist. 2 years of operating room experience in surgical technologist role required.
Current certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services

Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
