ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead shift and ensure schedules are created in a timely manner
- Work with leadership and external stakeholders on issues pertaining to the switchboard and access controls.
- Ensures new hires are trained and ready to work each shift independently.
- Answers calls quickly and efficiently and routes to appropriate area.
- Pages over public address system: codes, hospital personnel, physicians and announcements.
- Directs patients and visitors to proper areas.
- Provides proper patient information, while retaining confidentiality.
- Implements emergency procedures for hospital.
- Helps out in Mail Services and when staffing is short.
- Nights –Verify patient discharge for Mail Services.
- Assigned Communication Rep is trained for complete Mail Services back-up.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience with the public via phone or in person.
- Must have basic math skills including calculating and monetary exchanges.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: (Constant =67-100% of workday, Frequent = 34-66% of workday, Occasional = 33% or less of workday)

VISUAL ACUITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Machine Operators (including inspection), Inspection Close Assembly, clerical, and administrative: This is a minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects small parts, operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

- Ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients and visitors and satisfactory job performance despite the stress of a hospital work environment.

Minimum Requirements
This Resource Team CNA position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care inpatient hospital CNA experience.
Experience must be within a hospital setting (e.g., Med Surg, ICU, Telemetry, Stepdown, Oncology, ED, etc.).
36 hrs/week
3rd shift 7pm-7am
The Resource Nursing Assistant position for Charlotte's Resource Team requires floating to the facilities in one of the following zones:
Zone 8: CMC, Mercy, Lincoln, Cleveland & Kings Mountain
Pay Range:
$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities:
Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation which may include use of therapeutic assistive devices, proper positioning, range of motion and special transferring as indicated.
Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of patient/family to RN. Documents appropriately.
Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN including room set up, orientation to room, removing linen, and proper management of patient belongings. Ensures patient call light is always in reach of patient and answers call-lights promptly.
Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated using approved process for accurate specimen labeling and identification. Maintains competency as required. Completes various errands as directed including pick-up and delivery of trays, charts, specimens, and reports. Maintains and orders stock for nursing area. Cleans equipment and work areas.
Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices. Performs tasks related to nutritional needs of patient under direction of RN to include diet review, tray set up/removal, proper positioning and diet selection.
Performs tasks related to maintaining skin integrity to include proper repositioning and skin care. Ensures special patient supplies and appliances are provided and maintained such as TED hose and sequential compression devices.
Under the direction of RN and as determined by site/unit requirements, may be required to remove IVs/urinary catheters, simple wound dressing changes, cross train to tele tech, provide post mortem care, perform phlebotomy, ECGs, bladder scans and other skills as allowed under state regulations.
Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.
Serves as a resource and subject matter expert in a relevant area within department. Trained and competent as Preceptor. Assists with development/ evaluation of orientation materials. Regularly identifies, designs, initiates, and assists in implementing process changes to improve the department, quality and safety of the patient experience. Actively engaged and participates in at least one work team or committee at the department level. May assist with staff scheduling. Routinely participates in shared governance.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days, and
Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry in which the team member practices.
Education Required:
Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED), or
High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
Typically requires 6 months of experience in a Nursing Assistant I role at AAH
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Basic computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communications.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
Must be able to:
lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
lift up to 20 lbs. over the head.
carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
Must be able to:
push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Will be required to use foot pedals on carts or machines.
Must have functional vision and hearing.
Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids on a continuous basis; therefore, protective clothing must be worn as necessary.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist. Becomes proficient in preparing compounded intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and chemotherapeutic agents within compliance with USP regulations. Effectively uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to missing medication requests. Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate course of action. May educate and train peer Pharmacy Technicians, Technician Externs, Technician Trainees, and volunteers.Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies. Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through the wholesaler and other vendors verifying all quantities against invoices. Assesses practical ways to deal with shorted items and short-dated or unusable items.
2. Manages users within the automated dispensing technology database as per policy. Investigates discrepancies and troubleshoots malfunctions in automated dispensing technology.

Interacts primarily with department personnel, cross-department personnel, internal customers, patients and physicians.

7. Handles narcotic medications following all federal and legal requirements as set through policy and procedure. The Medical Assistant works under the general direction of the Physician or Nurse. You will provide healthcare to individuals and families as instructed by the physician. The MA will perform routine clinical process as directed by the physician you will also participate in patient education, enter appropriate documentation into patient charts and perform other duties assigned within the scope of your licensure.
Your Job Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
• 2+ years of professional medical assisting in a practice setting is preferred.

• Valid CPR certification.
• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Your Job Responsibilities:
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality, and will use complete discretion when discussing patient information.
• Implement patient care under the guidance and direction of the all physicians, ma’s and/or. Office Manager(s).
• May screen phone calls during triage under the supervision of a physician. Will function as a patient screener only, and will not make medical decisions during the triage process. Any triage phone call or face-to-face triage situation requiring a medical decision will be immediately referred to a physician.
• May perform intramuscular, intradermal of subcutaneous injections with complete documentation.
• Assists physicians and/or MA’s in providing nursing care to patients in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
• Takes patient history and vitals.
• On a monthly bases check for expired medication, keeping appropriate documentation and disposal.
• Responsible for unpacking and maintaining medical supplies and vaccines and keeping supply closet organized.
• Assist in Rx refills via Fax, E-Rx or phone calls and updating in the patient medication module.
• Demonstrates an extensive working knowledge and practice of infection control procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects all instruments and maintain QA reports for the autoclave.

Summary:
The Monitor Technician Extern, under the supervision of a Nurse Educator or Monitor Technician, performs telemetry monitoring and other related technical and clinical activities to support the Monitor Technician Team.

Job Summary
Functions as a member of the critical care transport team and is responsible for the care
of ill and injured patients transported by Med Center Air (MCA). Provides patient care
which includes respiratory system assessment, stabilization and intervention while
promoting safety and efficiency of MCA operations. Performs under the supervision of
the Medical Control Physician either by continuous radio contact or direct consultation.
Essential Functions
• Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
• Uses clinical reasoning, coupled with clinical skills to conduct accurate clinical
assessments and perform patient care intervention to ensure optimum patient care,
safety and recovery.
• Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers.
• Utilizes appropriate resources to plan and provide services that are safe, effective,
and financially responsible.
• Participates in committees, shared governance, or other facility decision making
activities.
• Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
• Maintains operational knowledge for multiple modes of transportation including
ambulances, helicopters and airplanes.
• Independently initiates advanced practice procedures to provide improved patient
outcomes
such as: drug assisted intubation, video laryngoscopy, needle chest decompression,
chest
tube insertion, central line placement (UA/UV, EJ), intraosseous placement,
transvenous/transcutaneous pacing, needle cricothyroidotomy, surgical
cricothyroidotomy,
and initiation/titration of pharmacological agents.
• Initiates intubation procedures and sets up ventilation equipment. Operates,
assesses, and
manages patient airway support, ventilator settings and equipment.
• Transports and monitors patients requiring ECMO, Medical Circulatory Devices
(VAD, Impella), Intra-aortic Balloon Counter Pulsation, Internal/External Pacing,
Ventriculostomy, and Point of Care.
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pulling and
pushing. Must weigh less than 240 pounds and maintain weight while employed with
MedCenter Air to remain on flying status. Must have intact sense of sight, hearing,
smell, and touch. Finger dexterity, good motor, and eye-hand coordination. Requires
good personal hygiene and appropriate conduct. Must be able to speak English clearly.
Conditions of transport may vary and include exposure to extreme hot, cold and wet
weather. Workspace may be confined and poorly lit. Exposure to patients with infectious
diseases and biohazardous materials is possible. Good physical stamina and
endurance are necessary to perform duties. Teammate must maintain fitness standards
in accordance with Policy 2.210 (Fit for Duty).
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory care required. Current RT license
or temporary license as a registered petitioner in the working and residential state.
RRT required, BSRT preferred. BLS required. Meets qualifications of appropriate
clinical advancement requirements required. Three years clinical respiratory care
experience in the Emergency Department and/or Intensive Care Unit required.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in advanced procedures and skills bi-annually
required. Paramedic Certification required within 2 years of hire Must acquire NC
EMT-P, SC EMT-P and National Registry. Must be maintained throughout
employment. * Trauma Certification, ACLS, PALS, NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. required
upon completion of orientation and maintained. Advanced certification to include
Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) or equivalent as approved required to maintain
position according to standards of commission on accreditation of medical transport
systems (CAMTS). Aviation training required or flight status and must meet
requirements of “flight crew member” per FAA Part 135 regulations to include Night
Vision Googles to ensure safe landings. Must have a valid driver's license and
qualify as insurable by Atrium Health insurance for driving MedCenter Air vehicles.
Must have an operational smartphone for use as communication device related to
MedCenter air operations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI exams according to established protocols, ensuring high‑quality diagnostic images.
Operate MRI equipment safely; troubleshoot basic issues and maintain readiness of all imaging systems.
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and procedure trays to support efficient workflow.
Assist radiologists with special procedures and administer contrast media per departmental guidelines.
Maintain clean, organized rooms; ensure proper stocking of supplies and quick room turnover.
Promote a safe environment for patients and staff through proper screening and adherence to safety standards.

Through several major expansions in the hospital, programs and services, St. Mary Mercy continues to offer the latest in quality health and medical services. The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment of hospital inpatients and outpatients in a range of specialty programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited university and licensure in the State of Michigan. Certification with the NBCOT preferred.

Job Knowledge
Must be able to apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and mechanical functioning of the body to specialized techniques in the treatment of patients.
Must know how to position patients with various diseases in good functional positions so that injury or deformity is prevented.
Must understand and have ability to teach techniques and their application to different diagnoses.
Must have working knowledge of various ADL techniques and their application to different diagnoses.
Must have basic knowledge of various disease processes and their effect on the human body in relation to physical disabilities.
Must be able to evaluate individual patient’s performance capacities and deficits.
Must be able to plan and execute therapeutic program appropriate to defined goals.
Must have knowledge in receiving referral from doctor and following mandates.
Must have knowledge in obtaining all pertinent prognoses and contra-indicators from patient’s chart, medical records staff.
Must have knowledge in setting goals and developing treatment programs according to defined goals.
Must be able to adapt treatment when revision is indicated by change in patient’s status.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
