Will consider candidates for BMET I, II and Senior roles.
POSITION PURPOSE
Provides Planned Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service to general diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and core values of Trinity Health and the Ministry Organization in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.
Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
Performs PM procedures using manufacturers' recommendations, standards or code requirements, as well as industry acceptable processes as guidelines.
Performs Corrective Maintenance (CM) procedures including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other related sciences and documents results of activities performed to comply with all regulatory and standards requirements.
Notifies equipment users and Clinical Engineering Management of repair status and delays as necessary.
Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.
Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.
Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation.
Promotes teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, works to accomplish team objectives and projects, and solicits feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.
Continually improves processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste.
Has authority (based on department guidelines) to order parts and supplies required for emergency service or repair of medical equipment. Recommends test equipment and spare equipment parts to the CE Manager or Lead Technician.
Provides on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested by CE Manager.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in related field of medical electronics, electronic technology or equivalent military related training required.
One to two-years experience or equivalent, performing corrective and planned maintenance on medical equipment per policy.
Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment specific to the field. Ability to train CE associates on use and application of select test equipment.
Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical equipment service and repair.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health, Ministry Organizations, and Clinical Engineering.
Must have basic understanding of personal computer operation, applications, and ability to input data using keyboard. Technician must be able to follow complex written instructions, perform tasks and document actions taken.
Ability to operate complex test equipment, analyze and interpret information provided by equipment and clinical staff to determine equipment operational condition.
Strong customer service and communications skills are required to interact with hospital personnel and vendors to achieve positive outcomes.
Ability to provide or coordinate in-service training to clinical/professional staff on medical device basic operational and safety functions.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be physically able to balance, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, reach, sit, squat, stand, twist, and walk.
Possess ability to mentally concentrate while being subject to stress, interruptions and changing work priorities.
Must be able to work and follow OSHA guidelines while in a hazardous environment(s) such as electrocution potentials, mechanical energies, bloodborne/airborne pathogens, dust and inclement weather, marked changes in temperature and/or humidity, radiation, fumes/vapors, sharp instruments/tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices.
Must be able to hear speech, distinguish sounds, and speak.
Must have near vision, far vision, depth perception, and be able to distinguish colors.
Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot, cold, range of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish odors.
Must be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely (50% of the time) and on occasion (5% of the time) up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to push or pull over 100 pounds frequently (20% of the time).
Maintains safe working environment for self, other associates, patients, visitors, and medical staff in accordance with applicable standards and procedures relevant to job duties.
Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities.
Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health, Ministry Organizations, subsidiaries, and/or training facilities.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $24.53 - 36.79 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Job Summary
Position responsible for the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients of all ages with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders of functional or neurological origin, in order to facilitate the development and maintenance of human communication and swallowing ability. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited university-based Speech/Language Pathology program.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current license to practice Speech/Language Pathology by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology for Texas.
Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, preferred.
Current certification in Basic Life Support.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
The position requires occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting.
Fine hand dexterity, eye-hand coordination, the ability to receive oral and written communication, and to communicate verbally and in writing are also necessary.
The visual ability to monitor instruments, computers and equipment, recognize alphanumeric characters, distinguish colors and observe physical characteristics are essential to this position.
Principal Accountabilities
Assumes responsibility in the care of the patient. Performs complete, comprehensive evaluation of patients with a physician’s referral.
Accurately interprets evaluation findings. Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and develops a comprehensive program to attain goals.
Implements a speech/language pathology treatment program. Re-assess patient status and alters treatment goals, plan, and program as needed.
Communicates effectively with patient and family.
Communicates effectively with professional colleagues.
Manages time effectively.
Presents relevant special topics in professional literature at clinic meetings, grand rounds, conferences, university settings and meetings as delegated or requested by the faculty.
Documents appropriately in the medical record and completes other documentation duties accurately and efficiently.
May serve as Clinical Instructor for Speech interns.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Radiology Technologist - Ambulatory / Papillion Health Center. This role will be great for someone that has a passion for radiology and great customer service for our patients we serve. This Radiology Technologist position will work from our Papillion Health Center, in Papillion, NE.
The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for X-rays as well as other duties for the clinic. As an Ambulatory Radiology Technologist, you would complete ordered x-rays within the clinic as well as being responsible for rooming patients, giving medications, and drawing labs. Radiology Technologist - Ambulatory Description:
Provide expert diagnostic radiological imaging and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, under the direction of licensed practitioners. Promote efficient operation of the clinic, and provide assistance to physicians and support staff.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in radiology required.
Demonstrate effective communication skills required.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or ability to obtain ARRT certification, in all practice specialty areas, within one year 1 of hire or transfer date required.
Currently licensed in the state of Nebraska required.

Position Purpose:
According to established procedures, performs repetitive cleaning tasks in order to maintain assigned Hospital area in an orderly and sanitary condition. In doing so, moves furniture, equipment and supplies in and around Hospital departments, and performs a variety of heavy and light housekeeping duties. Utilizes Seven-Step cleaning, dry and wet mops floors, strips and buffs floors, shampoos carpets and removes stains from floors, walls, furniture, and the like.
What you will do:
Receives cleaning assignments, requests cleaning materials and supplies such as mops, buckets, electric buffer, vacuum cleaner, rags, disinfectants, and the like from designated areas. Mixes cleaning solutions, loads service cart and transports same to work areas
Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, tile, fixtures and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions. Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors, and the like.
Upon dismissal of patients, strips, cleans and makes beds with fresh linens, cleans other furniture and disposes of refuse by emptying wastebaskets. Restocks supplies of soap, tissues, towels, and other disposable items.
Sweeps and mops limited floor areas such as patient rooms and Hospital offices. Vacuums carpets using light vacuum, spot cleans carpets using appropriate solutions and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly manner after cleaning assigned areas. Dry and wet mops large areas of floors, and operates buffing equipment.
Cleans and performs routine maintenance on sanitation equipment and notifies supervisor of equipment needing further repair.
Visually inspects area upon completion of cleaning to ensure appropriate levels of cleanliness and neatness have been achieved.
Returns unused supplies to utility room, cleans carts and equipment and ensures items are stored in an orderly manner.
Performs heavy‑duty cleaning of floors and carpets. In doing so, removes soil and finish of floors by using mechanical stripping equipment and shampoos carpeted floors by operating mechanical shampooing equipment.
Washes, scrubs and disinfects walls, windows and doors and, when necessary, determines method of removing stains using a variety of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Gathers refuse from various Hospital locations and transports same in hand pushed cart to compactor or holding area. Following established sanitation procedures segregates bagged refuse and loads into compactor or holding area.
Moves furniture and equipment (such as mattresses, beds, and cribs) by use of handcarts or dollies.
Working Conditions:
Requires working with equipment or performing procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls.
May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at times such as masks, eye protection, ear protection, gloves and gowns.
Minimum Qualifications:

3+ months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY
The Sterile Instrument Technician provides care to patients undergoing procedural intervention in compliance with policies and procedures of Surgical Services, AORN, The Joint Commission, OSHA, and AAMI standards. The sterile instrument technician must have a working knowledge of decontamination, instrumentation, sterilization, and the building of case carts. The technician is also responsible for the processing of any sterilized product across the hospital. The sterile instrument technician provides technical assistance with all procedures throughout various departments of the hospital under the supervision of the Sterile Processing staff leader.
PERFORMANCE DUTIES
- Decontamination: Receives soiled case carts and soiled instruments into the decontamination area; Scans all instrument sets into the instrument tracking system. Prioritizes instruments needed for turnaround (i.e., instruments on the needs list. Hand-wash and pre-soak instrumentation in enzymatic solution. Has working knowledge of ultrasonic and automated washer functionalities. Selects rack and cycle for type of instruments to be cleaned. Wash case carts in cart-washer. Changes solutions for instrument and cart washer when indicated. Refills solution containers daily, ensuring proper solutions are used.
- Core: Acts as a liaison between OR suites and SPD to communicate the changes and needs for subsequent cases. Performs daily tests and biologicals on sterilizer and Steris and maintains records of flash sterilization. Transports sterile items to the OR suites. Checks case carts for needed items. Returns unused items to sterile processing.
- Instruments: Maintains effective communication with OR, Management, Physicians, peers and interdisciplinary team to provide the appropriate instrumentation to start and maintain the surgery. Assists in proper technique in handling instruments. Check and update needs list regularly. Assembles instruments in order of importance:
- Instruments and sets on needs list.
- One-of-a-kind instruments and sets.
- All other instruments and sets.
- Inspects all instruments for damage after decontamination.
- Determine repair procedure when needed; place in appropriate “on-site” container, communicate and identify what repair is needed.
- Check case carts for accuracy before being sent to the core. Replaces damaged instruments. Wrap instruments/sets in appropriate wrapper/container.
- Sterilization: Has working knowledge of all sterilization techniques in SPD and OR. Is able to trouble shoot sterilization problems within SPD and OR. Initiates daily sterilization routine:
- Check and remove debris from drain baskets.
- Inspect sterilizer door gaskets for cracks/damage.
- Check steam pressure.
- Perform Bowie Dick air leak test and record results. Prepare the biological indicator test packs.
- Initiate routine biological monitoring.
- Record results of previous biological monitoring.
- Report problems to Coordinator/Coordinator Assistant/Charge Tech.
- Initiate recall procedure if necessary.
- Prepare label gun with correct date and identification number.
- Stamp each item to be sterilized with the load number.
- Load items into Impress System.
- Arrange items on the loading cart for proper penetration of steam and elimination of liquid.
- Initiate and monitor sterilization cycle.
- Check sterilization cycle record tape at the completion of the cycle and initial tape.
- Remove load from sterilizer and place load away from vents for cooling.
- Transfer sterilized items to “Home Location” using the Impress system. Place the sterilized items onto the appropriate shelf location.
- Case Carts: Demonstrates a working knowledge of EPIC as it relates to pulling pick lists and schedule. Is able to assemble instrument trays for every service and procedure performed within Trinity Health Livonia Hospital and Schoolcraft Surgery Center. Maintains accurate preference cards-adjustments are to be made the same day as change is made. Builds case carts accurately and indicates missing items on the pick sheet. Prepares case carts by Physician/Surgeon preference card. Prepares needs list for sterile instruments and supplies for the next day's cases. Replaces emergency carts ASAP.
- Other Duties: Decontaminate equipment as needed. Demonstrate a positive, friendly, respectful demeanor to everyone who comes in contact with the Sterile Processing Department. Etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school education or equivalent. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions. Should have basic working knowledge of computers. Should have the ability to operate computerized equipment.
Licensure
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred. Certification preferred within two years of employment.
Training and Experience
- 2 years previous Central Processing or Operating Room experience preferred.

- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.

- Provides basic patient education on the performance of tasks, skills, treatment and self-care. Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, prescription refills, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. Refers questions to registered nurses and physicians/providers per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.
- Communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents and communicates accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
Note: Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth/telenursing/virtual modalities are required to be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located. Licensed nurses are responsible and accountable for knowing, understanding, and practicing in compliance with the laws, rules, regulations, and standards of practice of the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located.
Experience
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.) clinical, aviation, maintenance, communications, and administrative departments.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
