LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Nurse Assistant I certification and Infant and Adult CPR certifications required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Utilizes therapeutic communication skills to promote a cooperative work environment, develop interpersonal relationships, address conflict appropriately, and facilitate team building keeping the patient as the central focus and using family centered care principles. Utilizes listening and sensitivity. 2. Demonstrates the ability to function in a professional environment through Shared Governance participation, adherence to standards, participation in peer review and acceptance of accountabilities. Participates in orientation of new staff and acts as a resource to others. 3. Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment through strict adherence to standards, policies, and procedures for transport, storage, management and preparation of breast milk following infection control principles. 4. Promotes customer satisfaction through responsive, non-judgmental, respectful, and professional behaviors. Serves as a patient advocate in all interactions maintaining privacy and confidentiality. 5. Prepares and delivers infant breast milk as ordered using correct techniques to measure liquids including amounts needed over 24 hour period with minimal waste and appropriate double checks when needed. 6. Inventories and maintains sufficient nutrition room stock ensuring expired stock is removed and keeping appropriate records both written and computerized. 7. Takes personal responsibility for professional growth and development keeping abreast of new standards and information. Maintains competence by demonstrating self-direction for continuing education and renewal of Nurse Assistant registry listing. 8. Participates in identification of issues and quality improvement.

Must have a valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD) prior to starting OR obtain a MCHD Temporary FSWP no later than the first Wednesday of employment* and a permanent MCHD FSWP within 1 month of start date (next available class). Must have a valid MCHD FSWP throughout employment. *Until a Temporary FSWP is obtained: May not handle exposed food or any food contact surface, equipment or utensil; May be trained on tray delivery and complete general department orientation.
2. Completes Monongalia County Health Department Person-in-Charge (PIC) training when assigned to attend.
3. Successfully pass WV DHHR Protected Services Record Check and WV CARES fingerprint-based criminal background check if assigned to Child Development Center, Chestnut Ridge Center, or Center for Hope and Healing.

2. Accuracy: Follows all procedures for cashier cash-out, reports discrepancies and helps to investigate problems. Checks patient trays to ensure all requested items are served, monitors accuracy of special diet menus. Ensures standardized portions are followed.
3. Safety: Follows all WVUH safety policies and ensures workers in area also follow safety policies. Reports safety hazards and equipment failures in timely manner. This position will support our Comprehensive Stroke Program at our KC Campus.The Quality Improvement Coordinator II provides ongoing leadership, support, instruction and facilitation to meet and exceed quality and performance improvement, as well as, regulatory standards. The Quality Improvement Coordinator II supports continuous quality improvement efforts related to disease-specific certifications and other regulatory accreditation's with guidance from leadership. This position is responsible for coordinating data collection, management, and reporting of operational and clinical data by utilizing appropriate statistical, analytical, and quality improvement methodologies to identify, implement, and maintain quality and performance improvement initiatives.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrates the ability to lead quality improvement teams by transforming data into information, obtaining consensus from stakeholders, and facilitating implementation of action plans to meet identified areas of opportunity.
- Participates in clinical, quality, and operational meetings to discuss/communicate trends and data analysis to service line/department leadership. Develops collaborative relationships with service line/department physician and leadership team members to disseminate data across the service line.
- Assists with implementation of ongoing organizational needs assessment for quality, regulatory compliance, accreditation, and certification activities to ensure that all service line/department sites are in compliance with required standards, including, but not limited to, the development and implementation of TJC tracer teams to continuously evaluate standards compliance and works with departments to maintain continuous readiness. Makes appropriate recommendations based on assessment.
- Applies statistical and analytical methodologies, such as bench marking, descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, control charts, run charts, Pareto charts, to qualitative and quantitative data sets to facilitate quality and performance improvement within the service line/department, as well as, uses appropriate visualization techniques to present complex data.
- Demonstrates competence to select and utilize data analytic software and platform functions.
- Oversee data collection, abstraction, documentation, and monitoring from clinical and administrative sources to facilitate the delivery of safe and high quality integrated health care within the service line/department. Interfaces as needed with patients and staff to procure data.
- Collaborates with Quality Improvement Coordinator I to facilitate accuracy, timeliness, reproducibility, and confidentiality of data collection and reporting.
- Assists with development and monitoring of basic dashboards, scorecards, and routinely updates compliance reports that monitor quality, patient safety, regulatory preparedness outcomes, including, but not limited to blood culture contamination, hand hygiene, falls, critical results monitoring, billing/volume data, patient satisfaction CMS quality programs, Commission on Cancer, TJC, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative, and Vizient performance metrics; and other service line/department as needed.
- Serves as a subject matter expert (SME)/resource for clinical, quality, and performance improvement indicators within service line/department and ensures that data are interpreted accurately according to best practice and standard work procedures.
- Participates in project development, facilitation, implementation, and sustainability of LEAN activities.
- Works collaboratively with internal partners, such as Risk Management, Organizational Improvement, Infection Control, and Kaizen Promotion Office

Job Description:
Assess, plan and direct patient mobilization and exercise programs in an inpatient setting. Works closely with other disciplines and specialties within the department and facility as well as patients and families to assure a cohesive approach to patient care.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in a Health/Fitness field required; prefer Exercise Physiology degree. Master's Degree preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Exercise Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine or eligible to test for the same. ACSM-CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist) or ACSM EP-C certification preferred. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops, implements, and performs patient mobilization and exercise programs
- Assesses the patient for contraindications and readiness for mobilization and exercise by reviewing the medical record
- Coordinates care with nursing or therapy services as appropriate
- Explains the role of mobilization to patient/family, verifies the order, and confirms patient identity
- Performs mobilization of patient and aids in adaptive positioning to maximize safety and performance.
- Monitors patient's performance and tolerance to mobility and exercise program. Adjusts plan as medically indicated.
- Assess and measure for appropriate durable medical equipment.
- Documents daily treatment notes and patient/family education.
- Notifies nursing or provider of changes in the patient's condition, performance, and response to treatment
- Communicates patient's status to nursing, clinical staff, therapy services, nurse manager, or operations manager.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in exercise assessment and programming for healthy and diseased populations, group and individual instruction, exercise prescription, and counseling on healthy lifestyles.

This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist. Effectively uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to missing medication requests. CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies. Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through the wholesaler and other vendors verifying all quantities against invoices. Assesses practical ways to deal with shorted items and short-dated or unusable items.
2. Manages users within the automated dispensing technology database as per policy. Investigates discrepancies and troubleshoots malfunctions in automated dispensing technology.

5. Compounds non-sterile medication products. Understands and appropriately follows all product worksheets/recipes for documentation and check processes. Understands and adheres to all applicable USP compounding guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of and consistently performs calibrations of equipment and accurately measures components for compounding. Repackages bulk medications into unit of use packaging. Completes accurate documentation of medications compounded and repackaged per policy.
6. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, laws, and regulations. Performs quality control activities such as monthly nursing unit inspections and pharmacy section checks in a timely manner. Completes documentation of refrigerator temperatures, and equipment maintenance activities as required.
7. Ensures the proper use of garbing and compounding techniques in accordance with policies and has knowledge of basic principles within USP <797> and USP<800>, laws, policies, and procedures that pertain to compounding. Performs compounding and labeling of intravenous compounds and hazardous agents to include chemotherapy using proper sterile and aseptic technique as appropriate to the site of care. Understands the different product lines in sterile compounding (patient specific and non-patient specific batch) and the differences between the various populations (Adult, Pediatric, Neonate). Completes all required environmental cleaning procedures. Documents all required tasks and other information per policy. Understands the safe handling of hazardous drugs and demonstrated the correct receipt, storage, labelling and transport process.
8. Handles narcotic medications following all federal and legal requirements as set through policy and procedure. Understands all regulatory requirements for receiving, compounding, repackaging, and distribution for controlled substances. Consistently adheres to all storage and inventory movement documentation requirements for controlled substances.

1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and outlined in policy.
2. Provides care and works collaboratively with patients, family and staff to formulate individualized lactation plans of care, education and intervention.
3. Delivers continuing education programs related to lactation. Suggests updates to educational materials based on needs assessment, advances in theory and technology as well as changes in standards of care related to lactation.
4. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goal for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family.
5. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to the caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
6. Evaluates the patient’s and family’s response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress toward goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient’s response and effectiveness of patient teaching. Provides ongoing support for mothers, newborns and staff related to lactation.
7. Documents assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.

Major Responsibilities:

Atrium Health Cabarrus Emergency Department in Concord, NC, provides compassionate, high-quality emergency care for patients experiencing life-threatening injuries, illnesses, and other acute medical conditions. From broken bones and severe cuts to heart attacks and strokes, the team is dedicated to delivering timely, expert care when patients and families need it most.
Open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, the emergency department cares for children and adults of all ages. Care teams work quickly and thoughtfully to understand each patient’s symptoms, determine the best next steps, and provide reassurance throughout the care experience.
What you'll do:
Based primarily at Atrium Cabarrus Medical Center, a Level III trauma center with 40 emergency department beds. The APP would mainly support emergency medicine care at Cabarrus, with some rotation or “flow” to the freestanding emergency departments in Kannapolis and Harrisburg.
Location: Greater Charlotte, NC. Concord, NC. Kannapolis, NC, Harrisburg, NC. Cabarrus County
Staff: 33 full time physicians and 22 full time APPs.

Prepares and cooks a variety of hot and cold foods with quality in taste and visual appeal. Participates in the planning, requisitioning, handling, storing, and serving processes. Maintains clean, sanitary work area and practices food safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Efficiently requisitions, inspects, prepares, cooks, cools and portions large and small quantities of meats, vegetables, cereals, soups, fruits and other forms of food in accordance with quality standards, quantity demands and standardized recipes.
Recommends recipes, menus and changes in recipes and cooking methods to improve quality of food; forecast specific quantities of menu items to be produced; maintains necessary food production records.
Forecasts production and utilizes leftovers to maintain efficient waste control program.
Processes food for storage and cooling following regulatory codes.
Labels and dates items as required.
Maintains organized, clean production area, equipment, utensils and tools.
Cleans work area, including but not limited to, ovens, stove, grill, and tables.
Lifts trays and pans of food from ovens, steamers, and other equipment.
Assists in other areas as required.
Monitors refrigerator and freezer temperatures internally and externally.
Inspects integrity of food products prior to use.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Two year’s experience in restaurant or food service preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: (Constant = 67%-100% of workday, Frequent = 34%-66% of workday, Occasional = 33% or less of workday)

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal range. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds maximum infrequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects about and requiring prolonged periods of standing/walking.
VISUAL ACUITY REQUIREMENTS:
Reading menu, production guide, recipes, labels.
Calculating recipes and amounts of food to requisition.
Using proper measuring tools for portion control.

The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise at times to cause the worker to raise voice in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.

The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
The worker is subject to cleaning products such as vinegar, detergent, bleach and household cleaners.
The worker is subject to steam from steamers, high heat surfaces on cooking equipment and hot cooking oil.
