Assistspatient in preparation for exam,provides basic instruction to patientsregardingroutine procedures, transports patientsbetween exam rooms/departments and escorts patients, families, and visitors if department needsrequire.
Usesradiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain pertinent patient informationas needed.
Organizesand prepares exam rooms and work areas, including cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, andmaintainingequipment, based on departmentneed.
Greets patients and visitors and responds to routine requests for information,reportsor film loans. Promptlyanswers telephone,screenscalls, schedules patient appointments, and takes messages, if department needsrequire.
Acts as a liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
Provides radiology reports and/or radiographic images to staff, physicians,patientsand/or family upon request. Files, retrieves, and releases health information records and films. Compiles film jackets/discs and completes required forms/documentation.
Documents requested information and promptlycommunicatesobservations, concerns, and needs of the patient with physicians and other members of the health care team.
Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment using appropriatetechniquewhen cleaning,sterilizingand caring for instruments and otherequipment, based on departmentneed.
Assistswith the screening and documentation of MRI implants based on departmentneed.
Must be able todemonstrateknowledge and skills necessary to provide careappropriate tothe age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)requiredupon hire unless department leader has determined it is notrequired.
Education Required:
Certificate of General Educational Development (GED)or
High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED), or
High School Graduate.
Experience Required:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Competent in IV insertion and venipuncture, based on departmentneed.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of patients,staffand physicians.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Intermediate computer skills including experience in using computer applications/systems and electronic mail.
Must be able to follow directions and work well both independently and with technologists, physicians, and patients.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist and reach above the shoulders throughout the workday.
Must be able to:
lift upto 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
lift upto 20 lbs. over the head.
carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distanceif department needsrequire.
Must be able to:
push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person presentifdepartmentneeds require.
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with the ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for procedures or other functions.
May be exposed to the following hazards on a frequent basis: mechanical, radiation, and electrical as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, protective clothing must bewornas necessary.

- Experience with all hand and power tools
- Must be familiar with a wide range of skilled crafts including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R and carpentry.

Job Duties
- Performs general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting. Examples of works may include but not limited to: unclogging plumbing lines, replacing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tile, repair leaking faucets, and painting touch-up.
- Follows up on completed assignments ensuring equipment is working appropriately.
- Responds to and repairs specialty systems, such as, and not limited to, the nurse call system, fire alarm system, television system, medical gas system, and the ceiling system.
- Completes preventive maintenance inspections in accordance to scheduled checkpoints and maintains documentation appropriately.
- Assists with any maintenance on associated equipment within assigned area(s)
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Assists other Hospital and Clinic departments with daily maintenance and support services as needed Will assist with repairs and upkeep of facilities structures and building systems
- In the event of severe weather emergencies or disaster, personnel will be assigned a work area and remain onsite throughout the duration of the severe weather or disaster.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Duties: Surgical Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Pharmacy:
Responsible for medication management for the pharmacy, nursing units and operating rooms including but not limited to ordering, receiving, sorting, distributing medications. Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide excellent customer service and patient care in accordance with assigned duties. Create and utilize medication usage reports to analyze data for effective inventory control. Manage incoming telephone calls from inpatient units, and triage calls appropriately utilizing excellent customer service skills. Receive orders, select proper drug, and prepare dosage form and strength. Practice sterile compounding for immediate usage as well as non-sterile compounding of oral liquids and topicals. Calculate patient's IV infusion due times, reorder as needed and collaborate with providers, physicians, and pharmacists recommending medication concentrations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
High school education or equivalent required.
Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
If registered as a Pharmacy Technician, certification within twelve months of registration date required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior pharmacy technician or hospital setting experience preferred.
Medical terminology and knowledge of top 200 medications prescribed preferred.

This position will prepare, dispense, and compound medication under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support pharmaceutical care activities, complete pharmacy billing activities, record keeping, reporting, inventory management, and arrange appropriate medication delivery.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1.Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, review and interpret prescriptions and input into the computer for verification by the pharmacist. Communicate with patients and initiate problem resolution on payer issues.
2.Prepare, dispense, and compound appropriate amount of medication under supervision of a pharmacist. Deliver medications accurately to the patient.
3.Answer phones, accept prescriptions, and communicate with patients in waiting area.
4. Assist with inventory, maintain a clean work environment, and assist with any other administrative duties as assigned by supervising pharmacists or senior technicians.
5. Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and perform other work assignments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
Incumbents in Arizona are also required to provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
Minimal experience, typically gained through 0-2 years relevant work experience. Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required. - Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Assists with the screening and documentation of MRI implants based on department need.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire unless department leader has determined it is not required.

- Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation which may include use of therapeutic assistive devices, proper positioning, range of motion and special transferring as indicated.
- Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of patient/family to RN. Documents appropriately.
- Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN including room set up, orientation to room, removing linen, and proper management of patient belongings. Ensures patient call light is always in reach of patient and answers call-lights promptly.
- Completes various errands as directed including pick-up and delivery of trays, charts, specimens, and reports. Maintains and orders stock for nursing area. Cleans equipment and work areas.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices. Assists in the lifting or transferring of patients using power-driven hoist or lifts as part of a trained team that is led by an adult employee.
- Performs tasks related to nutritional needs of patient under direction of RN to include diet review, tray set up/removal, proper positioning and diet selection. Performs tasks related to maintaining skin integrity to include proper repositioning and skin care. Ensures special patient supplies and appliances are provided and maintained such as TED hose and sequential compression devices.
- Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
