Clean/disinfects assigned area(s) by washing walls, doors, door frames, ceilings, patient televisions, windows, furniture, tile, fixtures, appliances, floors, and equipment with appropriate cleaning solutions using procedures and following schedules specific to each item. Assigned area(s) may include, but are not limited to, patient rooms, offices, meeting rooms, rest rooms, elevators stairwells and other areas of the hospital and/or off-site facilities.
1)Operates various equipment following department procedures.
2)Use chemicals and solution following department policy.
3)Keeps work areas in orderly, clean and safe condition.
Customer Satisfaction-Demonstrates a commitment to satisfying customer needs and exceeding customer expectations.
1)Utilized AIDET with both Internal Customer and External Customers, meeting system goal.
2)Demonstrates ability to identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively when dealing with fellow associates.

Use appropriate procedures following patient discharges.
1)Thoroughly washes and sanitizes beds when patients are discharged; makes beds with clean linen in accordance with department procedures.
2)Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes entire room and washroom when patients are discharged, utilizing established department procedures.
3)Use appropriate germicide in disinfecting rooms.
Select cleaning materials and supplies appropriate to the job and transports them to work area.
1)Clean all assigned areas utilizing the established department procedures.

3)Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissues, soap, etc.; pick up additional supplies from the environmental services storeroom when needed.
4)Routinely collects waste;sanitizes all garbage cans.
5)Observes and follows Standard (Universal)Precautions, Infection Control Policies, and departmental policies and procedures.
6)Clean or sanitize after emergency spills as requested.
7)Place full, tied bags of soiled linen in linen chutes.
8)Ensures a safe clean attractive environment for patient, visitors and associates at all times.
9)Washes hand thoroughly throughout the day; follows and adheres to Hospital handwash policy.
Prepares detergents, germicidal solutions and other cleaning/disinfecting solutions according to established formulas. Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mop floor areas and spot cleans carpets using appropriate solutions. Shampoos furniture, carpets and rugs using appropriate equipment and supplies and adhering to applicable schedules.
1)Identifies types of soiled and/or spotting and utilizes proper solutions as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
2)Handles chemicals and solutions following departmental policies.
3)Ensures that all chemicals and solutions are in properly labeled containers.
4)Adheres to safety regulations as outlined in departmental policy and procedure.
Move equipment and furniture for cleaning, rearrangement and/or relocation. Arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion, and in accordance with applicable floor plans, after cleaning assigned area(s).
1)Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs according to specifications of responsible department/individual as required.
2)Cleans equipment and notifies supervisor of equipment needing repair.
3)Appropriately reports safety hazards.
4)Returns unused supplies to closet where obtained, cleans carts and equipment and ensures all items are replaced in an orderly manner.
Collects and/or distributes soiled and/or clean linens, as required. Collects trash and/or waste from all areas of the hospital, as required.
1)Collects hazardous and medical waste according to procedures establish by the Infection Control Committee. Sanitizes all garbage/waste disposal containers.
2)Separates regular and recycle trash according to procedure.
Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence:
1)Attends all mandatory departmental and hospital meetings and inservices.
2)Completes annual CBT's required.
3)Follows written department goals and objectives, and review annually with managers.
4)Seeks education and learning experiences in areas of identified growth needs and review progress during annual evaluation.
Maintains responsibility for attendance and punctuality Maintain proper attendance requirement outlined in the Hospital Policy and Procedure Manual.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Job responsibilities involve walking, standing, bending, climbing and lifting throughout the work day.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For lifts over 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lift with at least one other associate when available. Unique lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Aurora Health (now part of Advocate Health) WI Resource Team is a multi‑site resource team supporting ICU care across the Wisconsin division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; and ACLS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- Weekend Requirement (Friday 1900 – Monday 0700): 1 weekend shift per 2 scheduled periods

Major Responsibilities:
- Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

• Maintains clean environment to include base and maintaining vehicles in a mission ready status. Accountable to check and verify established minimum transport vehicle supply levels, restock and clean at the beginning of the shift and as needed throughout the shift.
• Provides accurate and legible documentation of patient care with attention to detail that accurately reflects assessment and interventions. Ensures that chart is placed in patient’s medical record in a timely manner.
• Provides quality patient care and education in accordance with policies and state regulations as approved by Medical Director and professional standards of care.
• Follows guidelines and procedures independently when Medical Control is not available via radio or direct consultation.
• Assists with other activities which includes but not limited to public relations and marketing activities when needed.

Physical Requirements
F TE is hired for 40 hours per week – 4, 8, 10 or 12- hour clinical shifts. In addition, training, education and call may be required. Day, night and weekend work is required. Must be willing to cover open shifts on short notice. Duties require working, transporting and driving in all weather conditions to include exposure to extreme hot, cold and wet weather. Must not have any physical, emotional or mental impairment to prevent them from riding, driving or administering patient care in a transport vehicle. This work area may have cramped space and be poorly lit. Noise levels are moderate as associated with working in and around emergency vehicles. BCLS required. Approved trauma certification required within 6 months of employment and required to be maintained throughout employment. Current driver’s license (prefer NC/SC) with no more than 6 points on license required. Responsible for maintaining, expanding upon and improving current support process associated with EVS floor care equipment and supplies. Assesses all internal repair requests and determines appropriate next steps for repairs including but not limited to repairing equipment onsite, getting and approving repair estimates with vendor, checking repairs are done properly and overseeing the returning of equipment to operation.

Mechanical or Electrical certification for small or medium size equipment repair preferred but not required in lieu of work experience. One to two years' experience in similar job preferred.
Must be mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for problem solving equipment issues to root cause and suggest ideas for repair. More emphasis is on effectively managing the process rather than spending time repairing equipment. Employee will be responsible for making those calls and/or checking with one up for best course of action.
All tracking and maintenance logs currently exist in Excel. Will need to be fluent with MS Word and Excel to be able to maintain and create spreadsheets to include the creation of charts and graphs in order to convey needed information pertinent to job.

Assessing tagged equipment for repair: All broken or tagged equipment must be evaluated and a determination made with best course of action which takes into account one’s own time and department resources. EVS manager will do periodic benefit analysis of PM Plan for effectiveness and develop any needed adjustments with Equipment Coordinator. Ongoing deficiencies of plan effectiveness, employee competencies and quality of performance in achieving job tasks and goals will be handled using Bronson’s performance correction path guidelines.
Coordinates Equipment Repairs: Not coordinating repairs accurately and timely creates wasted time and effects service to patients and customers. Manager will oversee repairs and communicate with Equipment Coordinator on any adjustments. Performance evaluation and evaluating accuracy of systems will be done weekly, monthly and annually by EVS Manager. Ongoing deficiencies of plan effectiveness, employee competencies and quality of performance in achieving job tasks and goals will be handled using Bronson’s performance correction path guidelines.
Supply chain: Not having adequate supplies on hand hinders service to patients and visitors. Not running out of supplies and evaluating par level systems will be a key factor in evaluating performance. This will be done daily or as needed. Issues will be followed up on by following Bronson’s performance correction path guidelines.
Rounding: Not inspecting needed areas on a regular basis for accuracy causes equipment and supplies to become fragmented and not where they belong. Additional time and recourses would be needed to re-align equipment and supplies properly. Rounding and audits of rooms will be done daily, weekly and monthly for accuracy. Manager will follow up with any performance issues.
Reporting: (Clerical/Office/Computer/Record Keeping): Not keeping up with office time or poor time management will create a lack of accurate reporting habits. Creating and building in solid workflow that sets aside time to manage reporting is critical. Sloppy, inaccurate and untimely reporting will result in verbal and/or written discipline by Manager.

- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.
- Assists the physician/provider with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers medications, under physician/provider orders, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins, topical agents, and insulin. With limitations, initiates, maintains and discontinues IV therapy; administering selected fluids with pre-mixed medications.
- Provides basic patient education on the performance of tasks, skills, treatment and self-care. Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, prescription refills, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. Refers questions to registered nurses and physicians/providers per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.
- Communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents and communicates accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.
- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Participates in patient centered initiatives, care management, performance and quality improvement activities.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and

Major Responsibilities

About our program:
The Banner Health New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.
Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. We offer all of our New Grads multiple Career Pathways and development opportunities to achieve your long-term career goals. Whether you are wanting to go into a specialty unit, leadership roles, non-bedside nursing opportunities, or any other sector of nursing - we will help you get there! The expectation is that you will stay on your NNE unit for at least 12 months to get a full and comprehensive training experience! New Grads will also need to live within a reasonable commute distance of the facility they are hired into.
Most new nurses will work three 12 hour shifts, which will include weekend and holiday rotations with other staff members.

Unit Description:
As a Med/Surg – Pulmonary RN you will be caring for a variety of patients, ranging from Asthma, COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, and the medical, surgical patient population. You are involved first-hand in providing care that improves patient outcomes and experience while also providing a greater learning opportunity about the department. POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.
9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. High Point Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee daily nursing operations and provide clinical and administrative leadership for 7 South, a 36-bed acute medical-surgical unit serving adults with a wide range of conditions, including general medical, respiratory, renal, cardiac, and oncology needs. The unit is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and high-quality outcomes. The Nurse Manager is accountable for quality, service excellence, workplace experience, and financial performance. This leader will foster a patient-centered professional environment by applying the Theory of Human Caring, supporting the nursing process and staff development, and promoting collaborative team interactions that enhance patient care. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, skilled communicators who build strong relationships with their teams.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, enrolled in a MSN or Master's in related field with a term limitation, from date of appointment, not to exceed two years, with demonstrated progression of fulfillment of educational requirements within that timeframe. Six years experience in nursing with two years in related healthcare management.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Registered Nurse licensure from the State of applicable state Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care, Adult ED. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU and NICU, and other areas per unit guidelines.
