ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Makes contributions to the work effort as a whole, by leading and initiating problem resolution within the work unit. Facilitates teamwork by anticipating the need for assistance and responding positively to requests for assistance.
- Collaborates with all members of the interprofessional health care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data in a comprehensive manner. Teaches peers to critically think by verbally expressing rationale for decisions and follows up consistently. Facilitates open, professional, communication to achieve mutual understanding, role modeling by example.
- Independently executes the duties and responsibilities of preceptor, serves as a clinical resource in the department, using advanced skills and competencies, guiding and mentoring colleagues’ though processes in order to provide optimal patient care. Provides structured feedback with examples.
SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides care to patients visiting the clinic under the direct supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse, or clinic leadership procedures. Complete pre-visit planning workflow prior to visit whenever possible, including completing and/or requesting appropriate documentation. In collaboration with the provider team, anticipates the needs of the specific patient population.
- Communicates with patient, obtains and documents vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), chief complaint(s), preforms medication(s) review, discusses/reviews medical and social history (as appropriate). Documents, in patient’s electronic medical record (EMR). care administered, all diagnostic measurements, treatments and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Follow-up with patient as appropriate to ensure compliance with recommendations, medications, lab/x-ray results, special visits, PCP visits, dieticians, diabetes educators, etc. Ensures patient utilization and activation of MyChart.
- Provides care coordination with hospital, ED, consulting physicians and/or community resources whenever appropriate to including handling patient inquiries.
- Role models behaviors and skills, through peer-to-peer accountability, towards improving department score for patient satisfaction.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Reports observations, conditions and problems of patients to the physician and/or nurse. Recognizes abnormal clinical findings and reports them appropriately. Provides for the privacy of patients and families, keeping the safety of the patient in mind.
- Accurately performs routine tests on patients such as EKG, rapid strep, urinalysis, and urine pregnancy tests.
- Sterilizing instruments and equipment; prepare, clean and maintain exam and treatment rooms, as well as supplies and equipment.
FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Uses resources efficiently; does not waste supplies. Responsible for stocking exam rooms, taking inventory, and ordering supplies.
- Self-motivated to independently manage time effectively and prioritize daily tasks, minimizing incidental overtime. Role models effective time management and coordinates colleagues to meet the overall demands of the department.

POSITION PURPOSE
Provides Planned Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service to general and various specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and core values of Trinity Health and the Ministry Organization in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.
Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
Performs PM procedures using manufacturer’s recommendations, standards or code requirements, as well as industry acceptable processes as guidelines.
Performs corrective maintenance procedures including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other sciences and documents results of activities performed to comply with all regulatory and standard requirements.
Notifies equipment users, CE Managers, and Regional Director of repair status and delays as necessary.
Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.
Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.
Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation per policy.
Promotes teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, works to accomplish team objectives and projects, and solicits feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.
Continually improves processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates of Applied Sciences degree in medical electronics, electronic technology or related field, including comparable military training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CBET certification preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience  performing corrective and planned maintenance on medical devices and/or clinical support equipment.Â
Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment specific to the field. Ability to train CE associates on use and application of select test equipment.
Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, CAHO, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical equipment service and repair.

- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.

$47.50 - $71.25Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse Manager to provide operational, clinical, and administrative leadership for its multi-site Electrophysiology (EP) ambulatory nursing network. The EP nursing team delivers care across multiple ambulatory locations and specialized programs, including clinic nursing, nurse navigation, and subspecialty workflows for increasingly complex patient populations. The Nurse Manager will oversee daily operations, cross-site coordination, staffing, onboarding, education, clinical standardization, physician collaboration, and the execution of growth initiatives. This leader will promote operational consistency, align nursing practice, develop team members, support continued EP program growth, and collaborate with Medical Center departments and service lines to ensure comprehensive, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities also include contributing to overall practice management and the education and professional development of nurses, unlicensed assistive personnel, and other clinic staff as appropriate to the care setting. Strong leadership experience is preferred. Successful candidates will have a cardiac background and experience maintaining established programs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, one of which must be in Nursing. Five years' nursing experience preferred. Two years of acute care experience preferred within the last ten years. Ambulatory experience preferred. Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:
Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of applicable state required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) may be required within one year in select clinical areas. Certification in specialty area preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Supervises and coordinates personnel activities including staff selection, hiring, orientation, performance management, merit recommendations, staff time off schedules, education, credentialing, and continued professional development.

Athletic trainers work closely with physicians, coaches, athletes, and families to deliver high-quality care both on-site and in clinical settings while promoting athlete health, safety, and performance throughout the season.
Job Description:
The outreach athletic trainer is responsible for the day-to-day medical coverage in secondary school settings (middle school and high school). Uses preventative measures appropriately; provide standard immediate care procedures used in emergency situations; clinical evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning. Employ appropriate assessment outcomes measures to determine effectiveness of the outreach program; determines appropriate return to play of athletes and active population. Management of head injuries and concussions; referral to appropriate medical professionals to ensure optimal level of care; all duties and responsibilities performed under the supervision of a directing physician. Also works collaboratively with the Sports Medicine Team to ensure service excellence for all customers of the athletic training outreach program.

- Provide athletic training services to secondary schools and community sporting events as determined necessary to attain departmental goals of community service.
- Works within the Sports Medicine Team concept and assists with event coverage as necessary to attain departmental goals of community service.
- Provides acute medical care to athletes 'on the field' during practices or sporting events.
- Provides on-site recognition, evaluation, and immediate care procedures of illness and injury including emergency situations, independent of setting.
- Perform clinical injury evaluation and assessment of patient's level of function and follows standardized clinical practice in the area of diagnostic reasoning and medical decision making.
- Determine appropriate therapeutic treatment and provides rehabilitation, and/or reconditioning strategies, and taping / wrapping and bracing for preventative and protective treatment.
- Implement treatment program objectives including long- and short-term goals and an appraisal of those which the patient can realistically be expected to achieve from the program. Assessment measures to determine the effectiveness of the program are incorporated into the program.
- Collaborate with their directing physician, recommend discontinuation of the athletic training service when patient has received optimal benefit of the rehabilitation and treatment program, and notes final assessment of patient status.
- Determine return to play standards of injuries for athletes and the active population.
- Maintain daily records of treatment logs, injury reports, doctor's referrals, and medical inventory management used for the care of athletes according to clinic standards.
- Complete set-up of all practice and games including medical supplies, fracture management equipment, hydration, cryotherapy, and any other supplies needed for adequate coverage.
- Assist with planning, organizing, implementing and compliance of departmental and policies.
- Ensures an Emergency Action Plan for each venue be put in place and discussed with the school's Athletic Director, coaches, and athletes, including local EMS. - Assists with the preparation of lectures, sports medicine programs, seminars and serves as a presenter in these programs when needed.

Summary:
During the Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Suites (CVIS) procedure, provides highly technical Hemodynamic pressure and EKG monitoring as well as scrubbing procedures to the pediatric/congenital and/or adult patients in the Cath Lab.
* Experience and ability to work in Cath, EP, and IR a plus and highly preferred!
- Call in weekends
Responsibilities:
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and, or psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of the patient and, or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
