$38.20 - $57.304 Park Tower at Baldwin is a 24-bed unit with various patient population and illnesses and specializing in general surgery patients, orthopedic surgery, dialysis, cardiac as well as pediatrics.
4 Park Tower provides a great learning base for your future nursing career.
Major Responsibilities:
- Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
- Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
- Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
- Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
- Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making, respects interdisciplinary roles, and contributes to integrated, unbiased patient care.
- Appropriate delegation to other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and unlicensed assistive personnel (i.e., nurse aides, credentialed medical assistants, etc.).
- Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- May be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
Note: Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth/telenursing/virtual modalities are required to be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located. Licensed nurses are responsible and accountable for knowing, understanding, and practicing in compliance with the laws, rules, regulations, and standards of practice of the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located.
Experience
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.) clinical, aviation, maintenance, communications, and administrative departments.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

This position provides direct patient meal service, either obtaining meal selections in person or via the hospitality center ordering system, delivering meals and retrieving meal trays. Must be knowledgeable in special diets and allergies. Also maintain cleanliness of nutrition centers in patient care areas. Excellent customer service skills and concern for all aspects of patient safety crucial.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Must have a valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD) prior to starting OR obtain a MCHD Temporary FSWP no later than the first Wednesday of employment* and a permanent MCHD FSWP within 1 month of start date (next available class). Must have a valid MCHD FSWP throughout employment. *Until a Temporary FSWP is obtained: May not handle exposed food or any food contact surface, equipment or utensil; May be trained on tray delivery and complete general department orientation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Answers phone calls from patients following customer service standards
2. Appropriately follows diet restrictions, including allergies and fluid restrictions
3. Utilizes EPIC and VST for necessary patient information and to correctly process menu requests
4. Processes between meal nourishment orders and prints for kitchen staff
5. Follows department procedure for the missed meal reports including alerting nursing.
6. May be asked to deliver or retrieve meal trays as needed.
7. Visits patients designated “needs assistance” for menu selections and properly enters according to diet restrictions.
8. Delivers meal trays to patients within service guidelines for timeliness.
9. Follows delivery standards including hand sanitization, infection control requirements, two patient identifiers, AIDET and key phrases. Alerts nursing if patient is not properly positioned to begin eating or otherwise appears to need assistance.
10. Checks trays for missing items and intervenes to correct immediately. Maintains supply of condiments on cart.
11. Documents information required for ordered calorie counts
12. Monitors new patients for knowledge of room service, gives menu and explains as needed.
13. Rapport is established and maintained with nursing staff as evidenced by positive feedback and comments regarding communication with NCA.
14. Functions as a team with Clinical Dietitians. Respects Dietitian’s prime responsibility for patient nutritional care and responds appropriately.
15. Communicates clearly with tray line and production personnel regarding patient special requests (follow-ups on any unusual requests) to meet patient needs.
16. Meets sanitation, safety and quality control guidelines set forth by departmental policies, health department regulations and HAACP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) in maintaining cleanliness of nutrition centers on the units.
17. Patient trays are collected and returned to the kitchen within a reasonable timeframe.
18. While waiting for trays, assists the room service assembly line as needed, wrap silverware or help in dishroom.
19. Follows procedures for phone and iPad use.
20. Other duties may be assigned. May include duties normally done by a dietetic assistant.
21. Daily deadlines – must have menus completed by certain times and deliver meals on time.

This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist. Becomes proficient in preparing compounded intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and chemotherapeutic agents within compliance with USP regulations. Effectively uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to missing medication requests. May educate and train peer Pharmacy Technicians, Technician Externs, Technician Trainees, and volunteers. CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies. Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through the wholesaler and other vendors verifying all quantities against invoices. Assesses practical ways to deal with shorted items and short-dated or unusable items.
2. Manages users within the automated dispensing technology database as per policy. Investigates discrepancies and troubleshoots malfunctions in automated dispensing technology.
3. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and is customer service oriented in all contacts with patients, visitors and staff. Responds to standard requests from internal customers. Interacts primarily with department personnel, cross-department personnel, internal customers, patients and physicians.

5. Compounds non-sterile medication products. Understands and appropriately follows all product worksheets/recipes for documentation and check processes. Understands and adheres to all applicable USP compounding guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of and consistently performs calibrations of equipment and accurately measures components for compounding. Repackages bulk medications into unit of use packaging. Completes accurate documentation of medications compounded and repackaged per policy.
6. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, laws, and regulations. Performs quality control activities such as monthly nursing unit inspections and pharmacy section checks in a timely manner. Completes documentation of refrigerator temperatures, and equipment maintenance activities as required.
7. Handles narcotic medications following all federal and legal requirements as set through policy and procedure. Understands all regulatory requirements for receiving, compounding, repackaging, and distribution for controlled substances. Consistently adheres to all storage and inventory movement documentation requirements for controlled substances.
8. Becomes proficient in performing compounding and labeling of intravenous non-hazardous compounds using proper sterile and aseptic technique as appropriate to the site of care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.

Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand-held calculator is required. Job Summary:
When patients need to travel throughout the hospital, the Patient Transporter will help lift, turn, and move them to the proper transport equipment.

- Transports, assists in lifting, turning and transferring patients from beds to applicable transportation equipment using appropriate lifting techniques with regard to the patient's condition and the equipment. All patients must be transported with Registered Nurse approval.
- Cleans and assures the proper working order of transportation equipment after each use. Reports defects immediately and follows through to ensure the equipment is repaired and checked.
- Monitors the patient's general conditions during transport and assuring their safety as appropriate. Maintains operation of any external support to patients, such as but not limited to oxygen delivery devices. IVs, etc. immediately reports any malfunction to a RN.
- Monitors and maintains portable oxygen tanks supplies throughout the hospital. Obtains and delivers clinical equipment such as but not limited to IV Pumps and oxygen tanks to departments as needed and directed. Transport non-narcotic medications as needed and directed.
- Provides timely service. Transport other materials and equipment as needed. Communicates all delays in transport.
- Collects items for reprocessing from departments and transports them to appropriate reprocessing locations.
- Is accountable for communication or patient's condition at time of hand-off to another caregiver.
- Assures the identification of the patient by using at least two identifiers.

As an Inpatient Pharmacy Tech Trainee at MercyOne, you will be learning to assist Clinical Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining patient records in Pharmacy. These duties require skill and training but do not include making clinical judgments that require a pharmacist professional judgment. Pharmacy Technician Trainees work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Ages of patients served range from neonatal to geriatric.

General Requirements:
- The major job responsibilities (MJRs) of this position are: batch preparation, new dose preparation, stock preparations, Pyxis functions, inter/intra department orders outside routine processes, maintenance of assigned area(s), liaison activities, medication distribution processes and departmental service requirements.
- Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assigned Pharmacy work area is kept clean, neat, and well-organized during shift. Pharmacy equipment is kept clean and reports any potential or actual equipment failures in a timely manner.
- Assists the Pharmacist with filling physician orders, medication kit and/or trays, medication carts, and floor stock requisitions accurately.
- Prepares intravenous admixtures and other sterile preparations (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) safely and accurately using appropriate aseptic techniques.
- Replenishes medications in emergency drug containers and floor stock areas accurately.
- Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule.
- Promptly returns any unused or discontinued medications to Pharmacy.

Job Duties
- Performs general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting. Examples of works may include but not limited to: unclogging plumbing lines, replacing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tile, repair leaking faucets, and painting touch-up.
- Follows up on completed assignments ensuring equipment is working appropriately.
- Responds to and repairs specialty systems, such as, and not limited to, the nurse call system, fire alarm system, television system, medical gas system, and the ceiling system.
- Completes preventive maintenance inspections in accordance to scheduled checkpoints and maintains documentation appropriately.
- Assists with any maintenance on associated equipment within assigned area(s)
- Performs other related duties as required.

Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Certification / Registration / License
- Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty.
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services

Experience

- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
