Transports patients and equipment throughout the Hospitals and Clinics via wheelchair or gurney.

Job Duties:

• Assists floor staff with patient transfers to and from mode of transport.
• Transports patients, belongings and deceased to and from assigned departments.

In collaboration with the Program Director, the program administrator is responsible for the accreditation, non-clinical operation and financial management of the Graduate Medical Education program. Come join our Heart Institute Team! Working in the Cardiac Cath area allows a nurse to grow autonomy while working directly with fellowship trained interventional Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist.

Job Duties:

The Cardiac Cath RN provides primary nursing support to the physician and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition.  Provides patient education, promotes an understanding of the condition and adheres with the treatment plan.  The Registered Clinic Nurse, functions in the spirit of teamwork, is accountable for the delivery of care utilizing skills learned in the clinic.  Assists other team members on the unit.

Ultrasound Technologists (Sonographers) are responsible for the administration of multi-frequency sound waves and other techniques for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. A sonographer performs sonographic imaging procedures and acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.

Ultrasound Technologists independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of sonographic imaging procedures. Ultrasound Technologists prepare, administer and document activities related to medications in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.

Job Duties:

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
• Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable). 
• Preparing and/or administering, as applicable, medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.  
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, post processing of data if applicable. 
• Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers. 
• Collaborates with a licensed practitioner in the performance of sonographic interventional procedures.
• Ensuring equipment parameters for diagnostic and interventional procedures are of optimal technical and administrative quality as requested by a licensed practitioner.
• Performing diagnostic, interventional, sonographic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner or during appropriate educational activities.
• Independently reviews symptoms and medical history to determine the correct exam for the patient.

In collaboration with the Program Director, the program administrator is responsible for the accreditation, non-clinical operation and financial management of the Graduate Medical Education program. Requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and organizational policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. Continually assesses and directs a wide range of programmatic planning solutions to include short and long range planning goals, recruitment, orientation, accreditation and assigned projects. • Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care based upon patient response to interventions.

Schedule Details:

• Per Diem employees will self-schedule a minimum of 24 hours of availability on every 4-week schedule prior to self-scheduling closing. This availability and coverage must be to fill 24 hours of core needs.
• Per diem employees are required to work a minimum or eight (8) hours per schedule on a weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) or on a holiday or alternate shift.

Unit Details:

Advanced Acute Care Orthopaedics (HFAM6) is a 30 bed private room, post-surgical care, mostly orthopedic, medical/surgical, telemetry unit offering a challenging and professional work environment.  We care for a diverse adult population that may include trauma, orthopedic, and/or general medical/surgical. We have (2) bariatric rooms with overhead lifts, (2) negative pressure rooms, and an on-site patient gym to partner with physical and occupational therapy.
