Position Details:

Home Infusion Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive infusion therapy services in both home, suite, and other clinical settings. Job Duties:

This position is for an Interventional Radiology Technologist with a primary focus in Neuro Endovascular procedures. The Neuro Endovascular Technologist functions as a critical member of the procedural team, directly assisting Neuro Endovascular and Vascular Surgeons in complex, high acuity cases.

As a phlebotomist, you'll support Geisinger’s mission of providing exceptional patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality laboratory services. • Collects and prepares laboratory specimens and completes associated paperwork accurately and efficiently to expedite laboratory studies.
• Performs phlebotomy and may assist in specific laboratory functions relative to the testing, reporting, and quality assurance of laboratory specimens as educated and overseen by the laboratory.
• Performs receptionist and clerical duties to support patient care and functioning of the clinic, including matching and filing ancillary department reports, consultation and other medical reports in patients’ medical records.
• Documents in the appropriate sections to create a complete and accurate medical record.
• Uses the electronic medical record and scheduling system as designated.
• Facilitates timely appointments for patients. Completes referrals and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Collects co-payments.
• Under the direction of the provider and/or site lead, assists with orientation of new personnel.
• Executes and documents ongoing patient communication, as directed by provider, prioritizes communications to the provider, responds to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely response to patient needs.
• Reinforces patient education as directed by the provider to support patient’s understanding of instructions.
• May inventory medical/surgical supplies and pharmaceuticals non-controlled substances only to ensure adequate supply levels, verify expiration dates, document utilization, optimize organizational efficiency and space utilization.
• May have access to non-controlled medication storage/supply areas and can transport non-controlled medications as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic/unit.
• Prepares and cleans instruments.
• Follows protocols for sterilization and disinfection, including high level disinfection of instruments and equipment.
• Cleans/sets up examination rooms between patients using established infection prevention protocols.
• Follows hand hygiene and appropriate infection prevention precautions. Routinely inspects/observes condition and operation of diagnostic equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and identifies need for preventive and/or corrective maintenance.
• Responsible for actively participating in patient safety and quality improvement program.

• Hiring Incentive:This position qualifies for a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years. Certain stipulations do apply.

Provides the necessary functions to bill, collect, analyze, and adjudicate all professional and/or hospital billing and collection functions. Executes and performs programs to insure efficient operations of program in order to generate sufficient cash flow to support operations and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include billing and collecting for all third-party insurance payers, adjustment functions, cash application, adjudicating, identifying, analyzing, reducing and resolving various revenue enhancement, and credit balance issues associated with professional and/or hospital accounts receivable and insuring monthly cash flow. • Performs the above-mentioned activities of the revenue management to insure cost effectiveness and organizational efficiency.
• Furthermore, this position executes these functions in regard to how their function inter-relates to the other revenue management functions and all of the various third-party payers associated with the clinical service lines.
• Communicates their functional activities to their leader, senior management as it relates to billing, insurance follow-up, cash flow, cash application, revenue enhancement, organizational profitability, customer service, accounts receivable results and revenue management results.
• Works in conjunction with other areas to insure coordinated activities with respect to all revenue management needs.
• Participates in a minimum of sixty hours of classroom training per year.
• Involved, when required, in the development of various strategic plans.

Job Summary:

Operates specialized communications, satellite tracking, weather reporting, and computer-assisted dispatching equipment. Provides coordination with, referring entities and agencies, while adhering to regulations and recommended operating procedures of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Communications Commission. Adhere to the Life Flight General Operations Manual and the Life Flight Communications Center Operations Manual.

Job Duties:

• Receives all incoming requests for assistance from requesting entities.
• Coordinates the closest, safest, and most appropriate asset for transport, while following all appropriate guidelines and protocols.
• Calculates and relays navigational information to assets.
• Monitors, records, and tracks all assets and crews during day-to-day ground and air operations.
• Will utilize flight-following systems, communication equipment, weather reporting systems, and all equipment necessary to complete program operations.
• Responsible for monitoring all base-site locations, helipads, and hangars.
• Obtains all necessary patient demographics, as well as medical information and report, for every transport and will then disseminate that information, as needed, to the appropriate individuals throughout the entire process.
• Adequately notifies all necessary entities of an asset’s estimated time in route, or estimated time of arrival, for all missions and transports and will arrange for all required services at these destinations.
• Handles all incoming medical command requests, trauma notifications and alerts, and patient reports called in by staff members and, when necessary, connect them to Medical Command and any other hospital physician required.
• Coordinates all notifications for incoming air and ground assets, to the appropriate staff members at all locations.
• In an incident, coordinate with appropriate personnel about the incident and all actions taken throughout the process, up to and including its completion.
• Keeps the Leadership Team updated on any program and transport issues while upholding all policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Maintains adequate supplies and a clean and orderly work environment.
• Assists in orientation and training of new department personnel as assigned.
