Job Summary:

Job Summary:

Will be a Licensed Practical Nurse performing duties as a patient navigator guiding incoming calls and facilitating entrance of new patients into the program. Provides patient education, promotes an understanding of the condition, and provides ongoing continuity of care for patients. The Nurse Navigator, functioning in the spirit of teamwork, is accountable for the delivery of care utilizing skills learned in both the clinic and didactic arena. Assists other team members on the unit. The nurse navigator role provides clinical support to the provider and patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions.

Hours/Schedule:

Day/Evening position (40hrs/week)

• Hours will fall between 7:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
• Shifts may be 12, 8, 6, or 4 hours in length.
• Schedules are created based on patient needs.

During orientation, LPNs will work Monday–Friday, typically between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

After orientation, LPNs will continue Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., until enough staff are hired and trained to support expanded coverage.

Prior to the transition into expanded hours or full 24/7 coverage, leadership will communicate scheduling changes in advance.

Weekend Requirements

• All positions require working every other weekend.
• Weekend shifts are 12 hours in length.
• Weekend assignments are based on department needs and scheduled equitably.
• If staffing exceeds core needs, leadership may pull staff off using a rotating seniority system to ensure fairness.

Holiday Requirements

• All LPNs work at least one major and one minor holiday per year.
• Holiday shifts are 12 hours.
• If staffing exceeds core needs, leadership may remove a nurse from the holiday schedule using the same rotating seniority-based fairness process

As a phlebotomist, you'll support Geisinger’s mission of providing exceptional patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality laboratory services. At Geisinger, our phlebotomists are the friendly faces that collect samples to be analyzed by our state-of-the-art labs. Supporting a varied patient population, you’ll be responsible for venipunctures/skin punctures on patients in our inpatient setting.

There are many other tasks our phlebotomists complete, such as troubleshooting physician orders, processing specimens for testing, as well as aiding our patients.

We have many different skill levels in our labs, from new to experienced phlebotomists, and all skill levels are well utilized. Geisinger employs phlebotomists in roles I, II, and III. We also have numerous staff members who pursue their ASCP certification and become trainers for our department!

The Research Contracts Specialist position supports principal investigators, research teams, and other internal customers by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual agreements related to research projects.

Job Duties:

• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates research contracts in collaboration with legal and other system teams, including but not limited to, clinical trial agreements, data sharing agreements, sponsored research agreements, material transfer agreements, confidential disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, research participation agreements, and master service agreements as they relate to Research and Sponsored Projects.
• Coordinates and requests the establishment of research study awards for accounting, monitoring, and informational purposes.
• Performs coverage analysis for clinical studies, including billing determination review and Medicare coverage analyses to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Creates clinical research study budgets collaboratively with study teams and negotiates with industry and other sponsors/external entities. Guides in use of fair market value rates for external contracts, as applicable.
• Performs reconciliation between contracts, budgets, billing documents, and informed consent forms prior to full IRB approval to ensure all documentation is accurate and consistent prior to study startup.
• Maintains an understanding of current local, state, federal, and institutional regulations pertinent to research agreements, as well as industry best practices and trends related to clinical trials and sponsored research. Understands Geisinger legal and contractual standards and collaborates closely with other contract teams across the organization.
