1st shift hours (0700-1500) with rotating weekends. This position will be in a parking structure or booth.
Pay Range:
$19.80 - $29.70Major Responsibilities:- Conducts regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure the safety and security of the property. Inspects exit doors, offices, storerooms, and departments for security and the absence of fire or other hazards. Monitors and reports suspicious activity on hospital property and surrounding area.
- May be assigned to a stationary post location within the facility to offer a visible deterrent in a designated area for visitor control.
- Assists patients and visitors by providing information and directions in the facility.
- Performs routine lost and found pick-ups as needed.
- Performs foot patrol of various parking lots ensuring adherence to parking policy. May assist in the coordination and monitoring of Contracted Security, specific to parking.
- Facilitates the issuance of police citations and/or towing services as needed. Issues necessary parking violations notices as required. Maintains database of violations on a 12-month sliding scale.
- Ensures traffic control, monitors conduct of visitors on premises and reports safety hazards and security vulnerabilities to LPS Sergeant.
- In extreme cases of need, the security aide may be required to perform a medical standby in cases that do not rise to the level of needing a security officer.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- A valid drivers license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in public contact.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment and sound reasoning while maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor in dealing with employees, visitors and patients.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including off-shifts, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to walk and stand 90% of the shift.
- Ability to withstand exposure to seasonal climate and appropriately dress for conditions.
- Must have functional use of speech, vision, and hearing along with the manual dexterity to write parking citations, take notes, etc., while standing or walking.
- Potential for exposure to vehicle fumes on occasion.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Major Responsibilities:
- Evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute, critical and chronic patients illness and diseases within both an outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital setting.
- Obtains medical histories, conducts physical examinations and assesses and determines differential diagnosis. Prescribes medication, therapy and treatments accordingly.
- Interprets and evaluates patient data for the purpose of determining management and treatment of patients. Performs minor surgeries and routine procedures. Consults with physician as appropriate. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies in the field of clinical specialty trained and determined competent by a physician.
- Adjusts patient care plan by reviewing and monitoring treatments and therapy plans. Counsels, instructs and educates patients on physical and mental health including: diet, preventive health measures, health behaviors, self-care skills, disease, treatment options, and normal growth and development.
- Provides care coordination, which includes managing a variety of ancillary services, pre-operative plans, discharge planning, provider referrals and medical devices such as insulin pumps, defibrillators, and pacemakers.
- Prescribes, recommends and regulates pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies across multiple care settings, including controlled medications that are warranted by patient's diagnosis or changing medical condition.
- Prepares, dictates and signs patient care plans and summaries of patient care. Maintains records according to established standards and guidelines.
- Provides clinical direction to nursing staff regarding the continued care of patients. Follows through with nursing staff to ensure patient receives recommended care.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licenses & Certifications
- Physician Assistant license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices.
- Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices, and
- Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or
- Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration, and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). May obtain within 6 months based on department discretion.

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and signals.
- Selects and applies special monitoring electrodes, bands, thermistors, and other monitoring probes to appropriate areas of the patient's body. Prepares positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings.
- Follows sleep procedures to establish and document baseline values such as body position, movements, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates.
- Assists with scoring sleep/wake stages and with the generation of accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.
- Implements appropriate interventions including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous (CPAP) and bi-level (BIPAP) positive airway pressure and oxygen administration.
- Assist with procedures and therapeutic interventions such as auto servo ventilation (SV) titrations, average volume assured pressure support (AVAPS), multiple sleep latency testing (MSLT), maintenance of wakefulness testing (MWT).
- Performs polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to recognize and eliminate all artifacts observed during the test.
- Follows wake procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process e.g. repeat the physiological and instrument calibrations and instructs the patient on completing questionnaires.
- Sets up video and audio monitoring apparatus. Keeps the equipment in clean operating condition, detecting instrument malfunctions, making minor adjustments, and reporting the need for major repairs. Monitors equipment supply levels and maintains appropriate equipment at hand.
- Schedules and discusses the test process with patients, ensures their knowledge of the process, and answers their questions. Educates physicians and patients on sleep medicines.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 30 days, and
- Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) registration issued by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) needs to be obtained within 3 years, or
- Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification issued by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) needs to be obtained within 3 years, or
- Registered Respiratory Therapist-Sleep Disorders Specialty (RRT-SDS) certification issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) needs to be obtained within 3 years.

1. Aurora Bay Area's Paramedic program is based out of our emergency department and personnel work alongside our physicians and nurses. Provide continuing patient care from the field, through ED arrival to discharge. A career as a Paramedic at Aurora Bay Area is different. Not only will you answer some of our more than 6,000 annual calls, serving patients in a 500 square mile radius, you'll also learn advanced assessments and how treatments work to sharpen your skills as a Paramedic, administer more advanced medications, learn lab values, CTs, X-rays and more. Partner with doctors, nurses, imaging techs and other team members to truly care for our patients. Respond to 911 calls and Paramedic intercept to provide advance pre-hospital care in our two Paramedic system with comprehensive orientation. Our critical care program provides Paramedics with additional education within the first few years of hire to transport our most critical patients to higher levels of care across the region.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides basic and advanced life support to the ambulance patient.
- Operates ambulance vehicles using safe driving practice. Performs quality control checks of ambulance equipment and vehicles. Maintains cleanliness of equipment, work area, and vehicles.
- Communicates and delegates effectively in the field. Conveys pertinent information regarding patient to the healthcare team and concerns to the Ambulance Manager.
- Ensures prompt, accurate documentation of patient incidents. Maintains accountability of all medications and accurately documents use, waste, and custody of medications.
- Under the direction of the RN, provides assistance in emergencies, prepares and administers medications. Notifies department RN or physician immediately of changes in patient condition. Documents information/procedures and promptly communicates observations, concerns and needs of the patient to the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Collaborates with physicians to support communications required to facilitate patient care. Coordinates and facilitates all forms of communications (phone, verbal, paging, electronic, fax and emergency medical services (EMS) system). Processes daily patient charges and/or related procedure through the electronic health record (EHR).
- Supports and reinforces RN/physician and patient/family teaching and evaluates learning, documenting in the medical record as appropriate.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment, following department safety policies and standard precautions.
- Monitors equipment and troubleshoots minor problems. Arranges for repair of major malfunctions.

The Medical ICU is an adult 32-bed unit overseeing the care of critically ill patients of all kinds including but not limited to pulmonary disorders and infections, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, sepsis, etc. One 24-bed unit with a nursing station between each 2-patient assignment. One 8-bed open-bay unit with a nursing station facing eight semi-private rooms. MICU nurses are experienced in managing the treatment of critically ill patients with complex illnesses which are simultaneously affecting various body systems.

LCH-JGCC is proud to house the only dedicated pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit in the Advocate Health Enterprise. Our 8-bed unit is nationally accredited as a Level 3 NAEC (National Association of Epilepsy Centers) facility, delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to children with complex seizure disorders.
Beyond inpatient services, our unit features a specialized outpatient area that enhances continuity of care. This space supports:

Where You Will Work:
The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit is a fast-paced 28 bed unit that cares for all cardiac related things. Our brand-new state-of-the-art unit focuses on providing amazing cardiac care to our critical patients but makes families aware that their loved ones are receiving the best in the Triad. This includes the medical and surgical patient population. These patients come with many challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as a nurse. You can expect to see patients with advanced heart failure, heart transplants, post arrest hypothermia, coronary bypass grafting and much more. The devices you will get to work with include: IABP (Intra-Aortic balloon pump), pacemaker/ICD, Impella, LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device), ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring.
Expectations We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS are required within 6 months of hire

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

- Performs aseptic recovery of tissue; including, but not limited to, eyes, bones, ligaments, tendons, heart for valves, saphenous vessels, and skin according to departmental policies and procedures
- Responsible for coordinating recovery, preservation and transportation of donated organs
- Performs organ preservation using appropriate machines; cannulates and places organs on preservation machines as approved by surgical director; performs in-situ flush of all organs
- Performs donor evaluations, coordinates logistics for recovery teams and communicates with Medical Examiners, Nursing Supervisors, and Funeral Directors as required
- Ensures all recovered organ and tissues are packaged per policy and meet regulatory requirements
- Performs decontamination and sterilization of all LifeShare instruments used in the recovery of organ, tissue, and eye
- Maintains Organ, Tissue, and Eye Labs, ensuring that all supplies are to par levels and stocked accordingly
Available to travel distances greater than one hundred miles and function effectively in unfamiliar hospital environments. Must be able to fly in airplanes/helicopters and ride in ambulances. Must be able to push, pull or otherwise move heavy objects, and must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have good manual dexterity and visual acuity. Must be able to endure long periods of standing and walking. Must be able to endure irregular sleep patterns. Must have good communication skills with families, hospital personnel, physicians, and fellow employees. Must be able to use personal vehicle for work travel.
